Thank you both for your service... we have 132,000 miles on our 2nd Class A diesel coach... a 2001 Monaco Diplomat... 40ft.... I have carried a ladder since purchase... never used it yet. The only item we carry is the fold up table. I use an inline water pressure "lowerer" -- no water filter or softener... just distilled water for drinking. Btw, I commented re your tow dolly when you started, you switched.
What a great compilation of quality must haves! I've been watching RV "must have" videos for over two years and have never seen as much good stuff in one video.
I have bought 3 Blackstone Griddles.... 1 at home 36”... 1 in my RV 22”... and 1 at my Barn / Storage 22”... Yep I love Blackstones, LOL. Safe Travels!
Suggestion Phil, on my water supply i use splitter first then regulator to filters to camper inlet. The other side of splitter is at hydrant pressure which can be very high sometimes, makes for good washdown hose, cleanup hose, or firefighting hose.
I have been following your channel for over 2 years and it is my favorite. You info and hints are beyond helpful so please don't stop. My only grip, and not at you, is there is not someone driving a class "B" doing what you do the way you do it. But we can still use much that you provide in our traveling and so, Thank You and hope "to meet you ont the road"!!!! Don and Julie in GoGo.
My husband & I are buying the dirt filter, water filter & water softener system since we watched y'alls video. Plus my husband doesn't know but I getting him the flag pole & solar light set up for Christmas. He already has a large Navy flag. He served 22 1/2 years Navy aboard Submarines. God Bless!
In addition to the water softener we use Scale Blaster, it’s an electronic device you mount in the incoming Rv waterline. It’s been a few month now and wow it works like magic. As for the surge protector, well I mounted mine inside the bay, this way it’s out of the element. We use TST TPMS and it works great
RV Home - I don’t see any RV specific models so assume you used either the residential or pro series models. Did you add some kind of pvc or pex extension from you water intake to allow for the wire wrap? They don’t seem to recommend installation on a flexible hose. Rob
Thanks much for your videos. We have used you as one of our Go To, on the road, RV educators and appreciate the work you put into cranking out these videos.
Koodos for having the separate Garmin, and being the navigator for the driver! I couldn't tell you how many times I've tried looking at my screen while driving only to look up and something has happened or changed in traffic, or I've reached a bend/curve in the road before I've realized it. This has lead to making adjustments faster than what would have been prefered... Sometimes resulting in "pucker-power" moments!
When you book your military base campgrounds make sure your companion will be able to get on base with you. My sister was denied access to Fort Leonard Wood in October 2020 because she isn't a military member or dependent. COVID-19 restrictions at that base restrict access to only military ID holders no visitors.
Good post, especially for newbie full timers. You should have added the COE campground book to must haves as well. Keep on keeping on and stay safe. We have renamed our coach from Beast to Hurricane Hunter as this past week we have dealt with our 5th storm of the season. Finally drying out here in SW Florida.
My ring is my wife's name tattooed on my finger. I used to have to climb fences in the backyards of Brooklyn to remove and replace telephone poles and run telephone cable. The very first day, I caught my ring on a fence and almost lost my finger. That's when I got the tattoo. ..... Go Broncos!
I usually don't watch these but you made it fast and informative. Rving is great but you have to be sure you have the money. There is so much more than just buying the unit. Well done guys.
Oh how cool! Thanks for all the amazing information! Navy veteran here (six 1/2 years only), can’t wait to begin my traveling life again. I’ll be going Van instead of RV for now. But these are all amazing gadgets and great information. Also, love love love her shirt!
Looking on Walmart, I noticed the picture shows the grill hooked up to a small gas canister. Can you hook this up to a large ( regular size) bottle of propane?
Been watching full time RV videos for weeks now. Y'all are probably my favorite. Great videos with great info! Especially helpful for military families. Thanks for taking the time to help inform others!
We’ve been full time for 19 months. We lock down the EMS and that’s about it. We leave our water softener, black stone and other things out. Never really stayed anywhere where it felt unsafe.
Terrific blog! Thank you. Best camping chairs for us: Strongbacks. After using many different so-so comfortable and downright uncomfortable chairs, we discovered Strongbacks with lumbar support.
Watched this video last night in Mansfield, TX. Left this morning to go to Port A. Stopped at Alsatian RV for the night. I think I saw y’all leaving as we came in. Then, I definitely saw you coming in to Cora’s Mexican Food Restaurant as we were leaving. Small world! We’re heading out tomorrow for Gulf Waters RV Park in Port A
Thanks to your video we discovered another piece of gear we had to have. We have a pair of Kermit chairs from back in our motorcycle camping days. They are awsome chairs but when we saw those light weight armless chairs we thought lets give them a try. One of the reasons I like an armless chair is because I am a guitar player and chair arms just get in the way. We recieved our new chairs today and they are great, perfect for sitting around the campfire and absolutley great for sitting in while playing. These chairs are going to get a lot of use camping and sitting in the circle making music with friends old and new. Thanks again for the entertaining and informative episode.
Regarding pressure regulators. The wet bay city connection on all newer RV'S, like "Ruby", on any class have a built in regulator from the manufacturer and are permanently pre set usually at 45 psi. Having another regulator at your primary RV park supply cranked up to 60 psi will be cut down to 45 psi at the RV's wet bay. Save the 35+ dollars for the beers. Excellent video, thank you for sharing your experience and gadgets with us.🇺🇸✌️
Re your levelers... cheeze... I use about 6 boards, 2x12. They work as levelers and pads.... yes, I have auto leveling... but usually a single board under certain wheels does the job.
Well there are a couple of these items we are going to have to get and thankfully some we already have in the new to us RV we just purchased!! We plan to start traveling in January but we are moving into her over the next couple weeks and will mooch-dock at our house that we are renting to a friend starting in December. Will all the craziness of 2020 we decided not to sell the house yet just incase we have to come back here. I hope we see you out there one day!!
Guess I can't enter the drawing, I don't have or want to have Facebook or Instagram. But I still give a thumbs up to your videos and tell other RV'ers about your videos.
We love you two!! Your so helpful in helping us first timers (coming up) to help us get started. Wanted to also say, I keep a book that I write in to tell me where you guys go and eat by state and cities. That way we won't miss all the great places you've showed us!!
You could save the locations on your very own google map. It is easier to find them when you head that direction. It is free and easy to do. I have a video on it.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your favorite rig items. We are going to get a Garmin 785 with camera or the 890. What is your opinion on getting the one with the camera 785? Safe travels 😊🇺🇸💞

OK, I am retired with time on my hand. I organized our bays using bins that have are numbered and categorized (patio, cooking, etc) with a clear folder with everything inside listed. Then on the inside of the door is the list of bins. I then made a spreadsheet on the computer that tells me what's in each bay and what bay/bin it's in.
Great toys y'all thank you. If I may, I'd like to mention to the coach drivers out there, when you pull into a rest stop and there are at least 8 available slots don't pull up alongside the guy in the travel trailer with your generator exhaust blowin right into his open door and act like it's not your problem. We're all just tryin to get along out here and nobody likes it when their generator, for some reason, smells like pee all of a sudden. Keep it tween the lines.
Thanks for the reviews. I just ordered the water filters through your link and appreciate the 15% discount. The total was about 20% cheaper than ordering it through Walmart. You guys are the best!
Excellent information. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I will be purchasing some of the items you suggested before we hit the road fulltime in May 2021. Safe travels and stay healthy.
One of my favorite upgrades is adding the sewer hose storage pipe under the RV. It keeps the water compartment cleaner and provides mor storage space. It will expand all the way across the RV.
Just curious about the book for military installations. Do the campgrounds on bases have cabins? Thinking about buying the book for my parents but they don't have a RV but they do like to stay in cabins. My father is retired Air Force and thought about buying them the book as a gift.
@@eddietucker408 I have only been to a few Fam Camps I have not noticed any cabins but most every base has guest housing . I'm sure your Dad knows about guest housing if yoju lived on base .

Rocking the flat top haircut! An alternative to cheap temporary wedding bands is to get one tattooed… very safe both from loss and from getting a finger damaged from catching a ring on something.
I prefer the southwire surge guard. I plug it in, plug the rv into it, and then throw the breaker. It checks the power and if it detects a problem it won't output it to the RV. It also continues to monitor it in real-time and if a problem occurs it shuts down the power to the RV.
Stacy, could you elaborate on why you prefer the Garmin to RV Life? We also haveCo-Pilot for RVs, but find entering addresses clunky. RV Life integrates well with Trip Wizard, so we have been defaulting to that one. So is Garmin better still? TIA!
Changing Lanes did a side by side review of Garmin and Rand McNally. I'm looking into the Garmin now just from watching their experience. RV Life has never been good to me with the Trip Wizard integration.
I dont like using my phone to navigate for one. I prefer to have my phone free. It seems every time a bunch of turns are coming someone will call me. I use RV Life (RV Trip Wizard) for planning, scheduling and campground reviews.
I have been using our Garmin 760 RV for about 15 years now. yes it has a few small glitches like everything man made. but to keep them at bay try to keep the software and maps current. I use the computer program by Garmin, Garmin Express and Garmin Base camp for updating, planning and up / downloading from the device. it is a GPS device so you don't need to worry about loss of cell phone signal, found that handy going thru the Sierra Nevada mountains. hope this helps.
Thank you for the very informative video. You both do a great presentation. Love listening and learning. So much that I need to learn. Such adorable couple. Have a blessed day.
So appreciate this video. It’s interesting to us how many of these items we’ve accumulated so far and how many we’ve yet to get as we prepare to go full time in one more year. Currently rving as we can.
We just ordered our new RV my wife and I would like to thank you for all your hard work. Hope to see one day. Oh my wife said you have made it less scary for us.
Lots of good ideas. I like my clear section of the sewer hose where it comes out of the RV. That way if it is a wayes to the sewer inlet you don't have to run back and forth to see if it is running clear.
I am beginning all my research for everything to a travel trailer and “stuff” we will need. Thanks for your video. I have added to my list several items to consider when we are ready! I am so excited to get going!!! Thanks
Are you back home in San 'tone? Or did you film this earlier this year before you headed North? Thanks for the tips since I am an RV newbie - bounty my first 25' trailer earlier this Summer. Thanks
