Good recall, regarding the Bleached Bones and the two spirit girls in GW2 Lair of the Forgotten. I'd never made the connection! The story of the family finishes in a quest in Nightfall, where you help the mother & father release the girls spirits and learn the family's names, and the girls' names are indeed the names of the two spirits in GW2. Thank you! I love learning these lore tidbits!
@50:00 Regarding the Ancient Weapon: from the wiki (yes, I was curious and had to look) The Ancient Weapon is the weapon that Yannel Brunn speaks of that destroyed his city. The item was originally designed to be used to knock down the Lonely Vigil as part of the Forgotten Wisdom quest. Unfortunately, time did not allow for the quest to be completed, so this was cut just prior to release. It now serves no purpose in the game world and has no effect. Interestingly, The ancient weapon reappears in Guild Wars 2; it can be found in the Durmand Priory's special collections archives.
