I was told aspirin mixed in water and spray trees and bushes for blight. You can pick up a large containers of aspirin at your feed store. It’s used/directed to animal issues, or you can crush normal aspirin to a powder.

I use 20% vinegar as a weed killer that works very well. So im very confused about spraying 40% vinigar diluted 3:1 (so 10% after dilution) on fruit tree leaves. I would think that would kill all the leaves immediately.

The copper should work but it will take time. If new leaves started to form, that is a good sign. Don't spray too much copper though. Follow the instructions on the bottle. You can also try a diluted vinegar/water mixture. Try 15% vinegar to 85% water.

I don't know if they are white flies or beetles of some sort, all I know is that whatever is eating the new foliage they are nocturnal because I can never seen them. I have tried Neem oil, and Malathion and even a combination of them and if I don't spay them every 7-10 days the new leaves are gone and all new life is stunted. @CountryLivingExperience yup. Definitely. I'm very new to all this, but I put a few fruit trees in the last season, which I sprayed during dormancy and up to tight clusters, almost ready to open buds. Those trees are perfect. The trees I planted this season in very early spring, I didn't spray those because it was already too late, and those all have leaf spots now. 1 of my plum trees had a few fruit sets, but I used liquid 7 because leaf minors were already eating the leaves, and my fruit fell off. Then I read only Malathion insecticide will not drop fruit or thin when tiny & young. Once the fruit is bigger then I read, I could use a liquid 7. But man is there a ton to learn huh? 1. For fruit trees, it depends. If they are properly fed and watered it will usually take 5 years for a good fruit crop.
      2. Any plants that you can grow in your area are the best plants.
      3. I have no idea.
      4. They may be too young.
      5. I don't know anything about bees yet.

Please could you provide details on the quantities used and the frequency? I am dealing with fireblight on my apple and pear trees.
      Thanks

What's your thought about adding a littler bit of fertilizer to the mix? I thought that some use foliar spray to get nutrients into the trees, but not sure if it could cause a chemical reaction with some of the other products

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I would not mix them together as you will have no idea how the chemicals will react with one another. It would be good to wait a few days between spraying any other sprays as well.

Hello I have a pear tree that has black spots on the leafs/pears what would be the best method you listed above to treat this!

Sounds like blight. The copper spray is the best for that.

Copper will not dissipate and will keep accumulating in your soil. This is pollution.

      1. Copper is an essential mineral we all need for our bodies to properly function.
      2. Copper readily leaches out during heavy rains.
      3. Over the counter fungicides are very mild compared to the professional grade version farmers use.

Why r my 15 apple trees not setting fruit? Multiple cultivars, 13 yr old, healthy… i prune, but do not spray or fert. Every spring they r loaded with blossoms.
    Thx

It honestly could be a lot of things. Over-pruning, over-fertilization, poor pollination, freeze damage on a certain cultivar, etc.
