I don’t understand what a successful or high powered conference means anymore. Success in the tourney is and always has been consistent in the ACC. I don’t understand why people say the ACC is weak
The ACC has to stop letting others dictate the terms of success because they change the definition of success to fit their favored narratives. NC State and Clemson both beat multiple ranked opponents in the NCAA tournament to get to where they were at the end of the tournament. One was an Elite Eight finalist and the other was a Final Four participant that darn near won that game. If the NCAA and the pollsters say team X is the number one team in the country, and they lose to an unranked ACC team, that shouldn't invalidate the ACC team. There's a bias against the ACC polling wise every year. And then excuses get made for the ranked teams that ACC squads beat. It's not fair or rational. The ACC is boxed into a losing position regardless of whether they win a big game or lose. I still don't understand how NC State finished the season ranked number 10 in the final basketball poll when they won the games they were asked to win to finish in the Final Four. They have to be punished with a number 10 ranking even though they finished the tournament in fourth place? Regardless, Duke's winning the whole thing this year. I'd stake my Flagg on it!
NC State had a great season, but did not show up for the Purdue game, a game I thought that they could win. If they played the way they did against UNC or Duke the final times, they would have won. Finish with a subpar effort and yes, this will be reflected in the final poll.
I guess you forget Baylor's record last 10 years. Roach and omeir wasn't there. And everyone gets transfers lol. But not everyone is getting recruits like Scott drew
@@Randy-j8q Maybe you are forgetting what North Carolina did to Baylor - a 1 Seed - in the 2022 NCAA tournament. The reality is that college sports - not just FBall but BBall - is dying as the SEC and B1G are getting all of the 5* recruits due to having so much more money and buying them. It's a big downhill dirty snowball, and it may be the end of college sports.
What counts is what you do in the tourney , so how many conference can say they had 4 teams in the final four the last 3 years . Last year had 4 teams in the sweet 16.
They will need to play fast and shoot a high percentage to compete with the big dogs. With Zayden High gone, they are extremely limited at the 5. Big teams will look to exploit that every possession
That missed dunk by Bacot with the Alabama game on the line is the stuff nightmares are made of. That along with the turnover due to a gimpy ankle in the final moments of the Natty game against Kansas will haunt him for years. And RJs game was a career - worst - credit to Alabama but also Lady Luck no good, and there was the "sign-stealing" thing by the Alabama grad students sitting behind the UNC bench, which could have turned into a major scandal had the press pursued it. The optimism this year even without Bacot and Ingram is due to adding Ian Jackson and Drake Powell, along with the anticipated improvement of Cadeau and J. Washington and what Cade Tyson can bring. The idea is that Speed beats Size, and this is a TBD as it always is.
Well for one it was a fluke game that we all know bama just slipped out with a win even bama knows they got a lil lucky not even rj davis freshman year he would miss that many wide open shots just simply unlucky
ACC will be much better thus year , you teams like VA, wake , Louisville will be much better in the mix , duke and UNC of course at the top, Miami will be better , Clemson , nc state , Pitt will be fine . Acc will get 6-8 teams in the tourney. UNC4L!

You can stake your flagg but I bet my edgecombe that Baylor is better than duke
@@Randy-j8q Baylor will be good because it is ACC-Texas with Jeremy Roach from Duke and Omeir from Miami. Take those two away and Baylor is just meh.

Kon Knipple. Nice ring to it.
Hearing very good things about that guy
One thing is for damn sure,Louisville will be looking for some major payback in the ACC. THE STORM IS OVER!!!!!! Go Cards
UNC didn’t advance past the Sweet 16 with Bacot and Ingram, so what makes you think they can do so without them..

If you put pressure on the ball full court we will be fine

UNC snagged there last top seed last season. They’d do well to get a three seed this year.
The last 3 years ACC is top ncaa tourney record , had final teams in the last 3 years but they always say it’s down . I don’t buy it. UNC4L!

They can keep getting the top recruiting classes. UConn will just keep winning championships.
Isaac how u gonna throw shade at rj like that 🤦♂️
He banned from UNC for that. UNC4L!
