You’re absolutely right, tons of land in Yokuda sunk (I believe it happened during the early First Era I may be wrong.) I find the islands dotting around Tamriel absolutely fascinating, especially Atmora. To come to think of it, we barely know anything about Atmoran and Yokudan religion or cultures.
@@itsclemtime2357 Well, old Nordic Lore as explained in Morrowind and beforehand, was basically just Atmoran Culture. Atmoran/Ancient Nordic Culture had some rich Lore before it was mostly watered down. Modern Nords are nothing like their ancestors
More than rival Tamriel in size. The left-handed empire was said to be 4 times the size of the third empire in size. Yokuda was pretty much 4 times the size of Tamriel.
MrNahual2099 so that's what destroyed that continent! I guess they tried to make something extremely large but in doing so they collapsed whole continent!
Red Judas what if yokudas (arab looking guys) and akaviri (asian looking guys) came from our world? Sucked in this world? Maybe nords came from our world too! And imperials are basically romans who were sucked into this world? Or some germanic european race? And elves are basically from some other world? Maybe alfheim or something?
yes, they are all driven to tamriel, argonian is really tied to the hist, amd khajit is just elves who is turned into a cat by azura, and it is said that the hist and the yokudan doesn't come from current kalpa, but they come from previous kalpa, where the ragada and sinistral mer is against each other, in tamriel it is like that too, but more complex, imo yokuda is in the past, hence the island is different, and akavir is in the future, hence people inhabit there will not be welcome, what about atmora and aldmeris? atmora is frozen in time, eternally flawed, it becomes older and older, man who lives there needs change, hence they go to tamriel, aldmeris on the other hand, is the opposite of atmora, it is very hot, always changing because of the flaw it creates, and it became chaotic and hot, so the mer live there desire more peaceful and stale condition, hence they go to tamriel, and because of the hotness, it just evaporated into the sky, into memories, thus it doesn't exist anymore, and what of pyandonea? well it is said the island is tropical, and of eternal youth, it has the perk because of the closeness to aldmeris, just like avalon in uk folklore, but maormer who lives there can't go back to aldmeris anymore, so they always invade tamriel.
The red guards are representative of Ancient and present Arabians as they were considered to be more advanced than other groups of people during their time and they also share the same type of home landscape(desert and sandy)
pokezee king-wolf they are also quite advanced as they use guns and explosives, cannons also count that means they have invented gunpowder, they also posses knowledge of making airships, which, combined with ability to make bombs, can give them air superiority over others, but in any case, am i the only one who thinks that humans from nirn are actually humans from our world which got sucked into nirn during its creation? Same goes for other species, for example, elves migth be from some other world which has magic, and that's why there is magic in this world? Human world also brought physics of a human world? Maybe each creature brought some sort of special ability to this world?
Redguards are mixture of West African countries (which is why they have strong African features) , Moors, and Japanese culture. elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Redguard_(Skyrim)
did you know in the elder scrolls online if you go to the westernmost point of glenumbra in high rock you can see the outline of a giant landmass if you look in the direction yokuda should be on the map.
loved it :) i looked up "history of yokuda in tge elder scrolls" and i found this, i learned of yokuda from a history vid of tamriel, in the far left side most of the yokuda empire's land just disapeared, it was replaced by ocean.
Yokuda, it's people and mer are from a previous time..... Mundus/Nirn time goes from start to finish in a linear fashion but then loops back on itself ending where it began but in a whole new reality. Kinf of like the Big Bang/Big Crunch theory of our universe. The Yokuda managed to flee their universe just before it ended and found themselves at the start of the current elderscrolls timeline/universe.... Which would make them older then any race on nirn. And they have been on nirn since the mer were banging rocks together. They have no connection to any other race except the left handed elves they may or may not have brought with them. The Island itself most likely sank as a result of a civil war on Yokuda between earth-bender like mages that could use geomancy and everyone else which resulted in them using powerful magics to flood the lands.... Thats the current community understanding. I think..... CoDA makes it canon. Seriously though, this is the in game story.
Raivan31 same with akaviri humans, they could be some asians which got sucked into some dimensional vortex from our world, or what if nirn is actually some sort of large hunger games type of thing? They take races and creatures from different dimension and timelines and let them fight each other and stuff, most diplomatic and strategic wins?
White Gold Tower, Built as a kind of copy of Adamantine tower in order to use it to create the barrier between them and the Oblivion realms. The other tower (Adamantium) is a relic from when the planet was being fine tuned
Love this video. Do you think you can do more on the ansei and history of Yokuda and Hammerfell? I'd be totally awesome to have a visual narrative on the sword singers.
These Ansei sound fecking badass. Hopefully we get something reminscent of their magic in The Elder Scrolls VI. Who knows, maybe some breton wizard found some ancient tome brought by a redguard and learned awesome sword magic?
The reason Yokuda sunk into the ground was because when the Ra Gada destroyed them in the war, the left handed elves were using magic to hold up the island. When they destroyed them, it sunk into the sea because there was no magic holding it up
I feel like with Aldmeris if the Left-Handed Elves were on Yokuda before Aldmeris sank then I think it says as a whole that Yokuda might of not existed
its like big water and more water with a mix of the fictional continent of Africa and some things of fictional Arabia and more water. OH SHIT did i forgot the water part? Yeah theres more water.
Pew pew I know, man. I understand both sides. I really don't care about which side is better or whatever. I just prefer the Stormcloaks, that's all, really. I have no negative views on the Imperial Legion, just a preference. What I said before was because I said it out of retaliation, nothing more
+Pew pew Not quite. They were apparently either eaten by the Tsaesci or are Tsaesci themselves, but it's possible eaten might actually be a term for enslavement.
AYO HOL UP Robs a store SOOO, YALL BE SAYN DAT Shoots unsuspecting gang member AYO HOLAP Pulls pants slightly down DAT WE WAZ Avoids child support KAAAAAAAANNNGGGGZZZZ N SHHHHHHEEEEEEIIIII- Gets shot
its worth mentioning that the yokuda you see on maps IS what is left. the original Yokuda was immensely bigger, rivaling the size of tamriel itself
You’re absolutely right, tons of land in Yokuda sunk (I believe it happened during the early First Era I may be wrong.) Left-Handed Elves? Well somebody at Bethesda was feeling lazy that day weren't they.
i see a *link* there
HAHAHAHA
i wanna fucking drink bleach
I do that as well. I can make some sexy sand castles on the beach.
MrNahual2099 so that's what destroyed that continent! I guess they tried to make something extremely large but in doing so they collapsed whole continent!
Edin743 makes sense
MrNahual2099 so the proper less lazy term would be Sand Elf...
Anyone else notice how basically all the races of Tamriel came from somewhere else? It's as if they were driven there for a purpose.
Red Judas Except Argonians and Khajiit They were there from the start.
Red Judas what if yokudas (arab looking guys) and akaviri (asian looking guys) came from our world? Sucked in this world? Maybe nords came from our world too! They were weak ass race?. And have to run like cowards to another continent.
Part of it is because so many of the races are either humans or elves.
Elves...that are left handed?!?!? How intimidating!
The red guards are representative of Ancient and present Arabians as they were considered to be more advanced than other groups of people during their time and they also share the same type of home landscape(desert and sandy)
PlaSma K1ng north Africa is like yokuda in a lot of ways
pokezee king-wolf Redguards have always given me an Ottoman/Northern African esque feel.
pokezee king-wolf they are also quite advanced as they use guns and explosives, cannons also count that means they have invented gunpowder, they also posses knowledge of making airships, which, combined with ability to make bombs, can give them air superiority over others, but in any case, am i the only one who thinks that humans from nirn are actually humans from our world which got sucked into nirn during its creation? Aye y’all, three years later I think they are west African
I personally Love The Redguard's. They're are my Favourite Race of Men and I'd love to have seen Yokuda in its Glory Days!!!!
Redguards have awesome warrior clans. The Ansei Swordsingers and Ashabah are both pretty neat
did you know in the elder scrolls online if you go to the westernmost point of glenumbra in high rock you can see the outline of a giant landmass if you look in the direction yokuda should be on the map.
Currently writing a D&D campaign set in tamriel, this is really helpful.

ok. I just found out about this channel. gonna binge watch the entirety of it.
just a heads up, and thanks for the content beforehand~
thanks so much for the kind words
Thanks for 1000 views
now it’s fifty times that
now 62 times that
Left-Handed Elves are also called Sinistral Elves
Yokuda, it's people and mer are from a previous time..... OR They came from a totally parrelell dimension.... there's that theory too.
It's a good theory, but I find it a bit farfetched and don't personally agree with it.
Raivan31 from a different plane of existence! Like dwemer who could have went into different plane of existence!
Raivan31 same with akaviri humans, they could be some asians which got sucked into some dimensional vortex from our world, or what if nirn is actually some sort of large hunger games type of thing? keep up your good work !
maybe next time you mention "the towers" which protect nirn from the daedric invasion
Will do :) I'll look into it!
White Gold Tower, Built as a kind of copy of Adamantine tower in order to use it to create the barrier between them and the Oblivion realms. The other tower (Adamantium) is a relic from when the planet was being fine tuned

Redguards ftw (and Breton too)
Manifest swords from their own spirit energy? I didn't know Bethesda liked Anime
you are gaining subs considerably fast for a channel as small as this. good job
thanks :D
Keep these up bro, best ES lore videos on YT!
Thanks so much for the support man! It means a lot :)
Atmora is frozen not in the sense that it’s unlivably cold, but rather time doesn’t flow anymore in the continent
Kick ass Elder scrolls more videos. Love them! More the merrier!
well a book in Skyrim says the redguards sank yokuda in order to migrate to hammerfell
These Ansei sound fecking badass. Hopefully we get something reminscent of their magic in The Elder Scrolls VI. Who knows, maybe some breton wizard found some ancient tome brought by a redguard and learned awesome sword magic?

False. The Left-Handed elves had long been destroyed. Yokuda fell during a civil war with the Hiradirj.
Max Snodgrass it was said specifically, the ansei sank it with powerful forbidden rock magic.
+Max Snodgrass The Warrior Celestial in ESO said that Yokuda was destroyed when the Ansei used a powerful Shehai.
WE WUZ YOKUDANS N SHEIT
Lel
DAS RITE
So the Redgaurds left a rocky barren wasteland...to settle a rocky barren wasteland (Hammerfell)? Nice
Every time he says sword singers take a shot of whiskey
Nedic Armor is badass
I feel like with Aldmeris if the Left-Handed Elves were on Yokuda before Aldmeris sank then I think it says as a whole that Yokuda might of not existed
At the end when I said "then I think it says as a whole that Yokuda might of not existed" I meant Aldmeris
Another location I've never heard of. Where are you finding this stuff?
i know this is off topic but i think you should upload a non skyrim gaming video (like a toral war lets play/civ5) or anything simmilar
yokuda matata it means no worries
I love these videos!
:D
its like big water and more water with a mix of the fictional continent of Africa and some things of fictional Arabia and more water. OH SHIT did i forgot the water part? Yeah theres more water.

Awesomest Antonio stormcloaks are rasists, imperials till i die!
Divinity Infinitum stfu! You're just another one of the Aldermi Dominion's many bitches
Pew pew I know, man. I understand both sides. I really don't care about which side is better or whatever. I just prefer the Stormcloaks, that's all, really. I have no negative views on the Imperial Legion, just a preference. What I said before was because I said it out of retaliation, nothing more
Redgie Fonzarelli actually, aldmeri dominion is trying to weaken men, ulfric is just a dominion agent...
We wuz...
Abraxas, Lord of Hosts we still are...
KANG AND SHIEET
This meme is painfully unfunny.
I have the feeling that the Elder Scrolls games shouldn't be of rol, because if you have so many choices it would make the lore so more complicated
So your saying with all the stuff about Yokuda culture...they wuz kangz?
have u forgotten about the trojan war?
The version of the mod I wanted to play never got released :(

Irony, japan have a lot of mother nature event
+A. Adam i think those japanese people are in akavir
+Pew pew Not quite. They were apparently either eaten by the Tsaesci or are Tsaesci themselves, but it's possible eaten might actually be a term for enslavement.
soo what race tsaesci is ? , not like nord , imperial , and other like human race ? how dare they enslave asian huehuehueh :p
I wonder what asian people perk are. Multiplying?
hmmm...I love skyrim but if one more fantasy/ Syfy world's leave out Hispanic people...we are going to cancel taco Tuesday.
Salvador Garcia
.......what
Salvador Garcia the Khajiit have a hispanic accent so there's that.
Salvador Garcia I know what you mean lmao. You barely see any East Asians in fantasy worlds like the Elder Scrolls and that pisses me off a lot
Khajiit are africans because Elsweyr has desert and jungle and so does Africa
what about hammerfell?
