Good video! I miss here the Chris Fish by Christenson Surfboards! What a board! You can surf it in 1feet surf and works, 6 feet with massive amount of water and long walls (Jbay look alike) and excels, hollow waves and it stills works! Never used again my thruster since I got the Chris Fish!
@craigphillips6496 Well in my case and after 1 year and a half of surfing with it and mostly happy with the stiffness of the board. Had repaired some dents but it is in a good shape.
tough call - really depends on the style of board you're riding to be honest. For something a bit longer the keel is going to be epic for some barrel riding, but the pivot is going to allow tighter turns - especially on something like the Twinsman or MF Horseshoe.
@@StokedForTravel Nice, I am pretty keen on the hypto at 5"8 31L, I normally use a pyzel shadow or ghost, 31L, and 28L. Might just pick up a pair of both fins when I grab the hypto twin, for both soft and heavy days.
@@charlesnetzler2262 Hypto is heaps of fun - but for that board I'd go retro keels for sure - the Project Blank option or Futures K2 are the best bet in that board. Check out my full video review of the Hypto here: th-cam.com/video/rW8ouONeubw/w-d-xo.html
Glad you’re enjoying them Chris! It really depends on the twinny in question but generally speaking a lot of the more traditional style twins are designed to be ridden slightly shorter, fatter and therefore a bit of extra volume. It does depend on the board model and whether you’re current shortboard is a bit of extra chunk to it already
@@christhirkettle261 both awesome boards - the Hypto Twin was a favourite of mine actually, really great all rounder and heaps of fun! Album boards you can usually add a good couple of litres to
Hey Lukas, it was considered and although I haven't surfed one myself a few friends who have weren't too sold on it - so it didnt end up making the cut! Have your tried one out?
I even bought one after I saw the review by wooly tv. Didn’t have the chance to try it so far. But the virgin voyage is coming up soon. Will be surfing on the Azores.

Xcellent info!
Glad it helped 🤙
For hollow waves would you recommend the pivot over the keel?

@@charlesnetzler2262 its an awesome board, so much fun!
Great videos, going to buy my first twin, should I size the board differently to a normal short? I’m 87kg and 6’2 cheers

Akeeeela not Akillllla
I’ll try to make sure I pronounce it properly next time! 🤙
Missed the Flat Earth here:) Was it left out on purpose?

@@lumek88 Nice! Let me know how you get on with it. I've heard it needs a bit of extra punch to get it going, so you should be sweet in the Azores!
