I'm so grateful that Princess Catherine made Her Majesty The Queen happy; and that Princess Catherine had that special bond with Her Majesty The Queen.
How Catherine has evolved into her professional role, despite not having a royal or aristocratic background, is impressive.
Catherine does carry herself as if she was born into royalty. William has said that the reason they took so long to marry was because he wanted to be absolutely certain that Catherine understood what she was getting into. He needn't have worried because she's a natural.

I am so glad that Catherine married William because she is the backbone of this couple and shows how well she fits in as a Royal Family Member that managed to learn to learn about protocol and not complain like Meghan Markle. I think Kate Middleton embodies the perfect image of a Queen-very beautiful, gracious, poise, loving Mother, etc. She is smart enough to value the teachings from Queen Elizabeth II. Kate outclasses many people, whose lineage is "blue-blood." I think Diana would have been very happy with Kate, and it's nice that she was given Diana's sapphire ring. I only hope Kate stops losing weight. She looks too thin in body & face in photographs, so you know she is even thinner. Losing too much weight when you don't need tends to age the face/skin. Why didn't Kate go with William when the Queen was dying? My first thought was because she is not a blood relative, which is very traditional (England). It's not like "staff" could not pick-up her children. It's PR to say she had to pick-up her kids from school. I think Kate should have gone, or been allowed to go since she was very close to the Queen who bestowed that special honor onto her. I am sure the traditional of only blood relatives is centuries old, but I think the decision should be based on who the Queen wanted in her presence as she was transitioning to the other side. It is no mistake there was a huge rainbow over Buckingham Palace the morning/afternoon she died. I didn't see a double or overlapping of two rainbows. The meaning of the rainbow is the Covenant with God, and I think God was speaking to the Queen. What a grand gesture from the Almighty. I am sure she swiftly flew to heaven accompanied by angles, music, and many, many corgi dogs.

I did not say the nanny should inform the children of the grandma's death. I said that staff could have picked-up the children from school. Of course, later on Kate-Princess of Wales could have informed them. Perhaps you do not realize that it's a critical moment before someone dies, and you can have regret or feelings for a life time when you miss someone's passing. Kate was close to the Queen, and I am sure she wanted to be there. If you read READ my post carefully, you would have read that it is the BLOOD RELATIVES that are allowed at the bedside according to English custom which is traditional. I knew this was the real reason not that Kate had to pick-u the children which was for PR too.

Of course she stayed near to her children as this was the first day at school for the tyhree children and she wanted to collect the children and at some point in time, before the announcement of Her Majesty's deal appeared on the TV and internet that she would be the one to tell her children the Queens Precious Gan-Gan" had died before anyone else did.. She did the right thing. The children will be upset at losing theier precious "Gan-Gan" and Catherine Cambridge needed to be the one who told them.

As a Royalist I had my doubt when Kate first came on the scene and was still on the fence even after her marriage to William (as was many people as every Royalist loves William and are very protective of him), but I'm man enough to admit I was wrong, she has conducted her self spectacularly well over the years, and when she started to get her awards and recognition from the Queen and started to get regular coaching, teachings from the queen, and see their relationship develop I'm now completely converted.
As far as I'm concerned a seal of approval from HM Queen Elizabeth 2nd (The Boss) is a good a Law absolute.
