- The Xiaomi mi11 Ultra is a really solid phone from Xiaomi, but as I stated in my video about the potentiol of mi11 ultra, it needed improvements!
Now with android 12 and MIUI 13, is it fixed?

Only man who i can count on for Mi 11 ultra updates and feature reviews .... Almost all the other youtubers have either sold their mi 11 ultra or just stopped making video about it ... Feels so good that someone is still making videos on this monstrosity of a device......Great informative video as always man 👍🤠 waiting for new new ultra and comparison of it with 11 ultra
Thank you very much! Yeah I truly like the mi11 ultra so I am verrrrrrry glad they have updated it and fixed the issues that I had with it software wise.
of course it isn't perfect because of missing some basic features but seeing how I love photography it makes up a lot because of that!
And yes update video's like these I think are important!
That's because most of them are shills ... The Big reviewers do NOT use these new devices.
They will receive one, they install it with the bare necessities and use it for some hours and that's it.
NONE of them will 100% transfer all their data and apps to it as they have an Iphone or Pixel for instance that is their trusted device to run their main Email accounts, banking apps, private gallery. etc.
We all know it costs days to install a new device with all your data, passwords, documents, cloud services, galleries, etc and put everything the way you want it and take advantage of new features at the same time.
Only people that are really into that specific device are able to give you a deep review and true opinion.
It's similar to testdriving a car for a day or owning one all year round, a MAJOR difference.

i heard this phone generally has mother board and wifi problem after using it for a period. Please what's your take on this cos am considering buying it.
I heard some stories about it, by people who heard the same, for myself I haven't experienced any of those issues as of yet and the phone works perfect
excellent review, I have a mi11ultra too and I installed a Gcam that allows me to take 705megapixel photos. if you want to do some tests I can give you the link. the shoots are really impressive.
i myself prefer not to use gcam, for the reason is having the experience all users have.

@@ThroughJermainesLens The sensor is 50 megapixel but, with this version of Gcam it allows you to have both native resolution without losing the HDR+processing, and using a upscaling multiplier that allows you to shoot up to 705 megapixels with the quality of the Gcam . It's really impressive. Furthermore with the open source Mirror2Rear toggle, You can also use the rear display with third-party apps

Wow, it reminds of earlier ZenFone laser. It allowed you to take up to 92 MP photos. It was superb for printing !!!!!!!!!! How could gcam copy that ? Excellent news!

Hey Jermaine...I m experiencing a bizarre issue in activating telephoto lense ..when it comes to still photography 1 x is good but when I swich directly to 5x telephoto,it doesn't work .it is actually digitally cropping the image to 5x and when I swich to 10x it works perfect and surprisingly when I come back from 10x to 5x then the telephoto lense activates...any solutions or suggestions regarding

Nice video.. appreciate your efforts..from the beginning iam following the news and updates about this device.. really interested to buy this device...as u know international version is limited here ,few of my concern are do they give proper updates for Chinese rom? and day to day normal usage like upi and banking apps are working well with these Chinese version..?

Glad to help till a degree, for the chinese rom version, that is always hard to say with phones, simply put mine is the international, so I cannot really give you a solid answer on that, I assume it will get the same updates (if not earlier because the chinese version got that different MIUI 12.5 update sooner then we got, and when we got it, it wasn't the same update as well because it wasn't a large upgrade which for China it was, we had to wait for MIUI 13.

Hi, no problem! Glad I could help! When it comes to the Mi11 Ultra, right now it is running the security patch from May 2022 on my global version.
When it comes to having the phone flashed to the global rom you should have the same results as I do.
In terms of lags, I haven't really experienced any issues with the phone, there are hardware limitations of course like the fingerprint scanner that should have been the Qualcomm fingerprint scanner, but apart from that not really any issues.
Rear display to use for video recording, there are not limits put on the phone to use that, but I do run that Xiaomi 12s ultra camera app. This could mean technically you have it on the normal app, but from what I remember this is not the case.

Oh no if you want good photography with a more natural take don't take Samsung, even less so the s21 ultra! And back display has no limits because of using the display.
So between the 2 get the Mi11 ultra for sure!!

What about Chinese version with a global rom, will I get updates?
What about bugs? Touch screen/double tap issues, keyboard not showing up, apps crashing, network drop, wifi sometimes lose connection etc?
I have not experienced that, 1 thing I did notice is that sometimes it doesn't want to go out of landscape mode (not on the home display, but more when using apps)
@@ThroughJermainesLens Very interesting, to see some people having no issues with miui and the mi 11 ultra. I've seen people on forums with common issues such as their wifi module being "burnt" and no longer functioning. I've also seen people stating that miui is the most buggiest os out of all android options. I guess they were using some custom rom perhaps?
@@Emptrix I have read the same for some people, and people in general about issues with miui itself. I just have that rotation one.
Does the battery still drain extremely excessively with regular camera use?? This is the only thing stopping me from purchasing. Also front camera 1080, crazy they can't get 4k..
Front yeah no 4k, but if needed rear display can be used^^ for battery drain, it realllyyy depends on what you do, regular camera use, can you give an indication what is regular use for you?

@@riskmanifest oh the Mi11 Ultra is FAAAR better in the camera department, for video that is always a bit of a hard one with android, it always has that little stutter effect while panning, but for other shots you should be fine. What resolution do you record video at normally?
And maybe better to get the 13 Pro then? Has that new sensor.

@@riskmanifest ok clear :) Then the Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra does do a solid job, and it is helped by having good sensors for all lenses in general, so I would say it does a great job for what you need, of course a DSLR will do better, but that is logical :)
However if it is close to the 13 pro, I would probably go for that 13 Pro because longer support with software and of course that 1" sensor.

Hi Kyle, no, I have no heating issues unless I truly push it of course in the summer heat like playing heavy games, but in normal use there are no heating issues

@@somxstyles4847 do you care about selfies a lot? If so Xiaomi doesn't have great video recording for the front facing camera. Rear camera without a doubt better then Samsung, battery life a bit better from what I heard on the mi11 ulra

My phone is dead 😭 they said it's motherboard is damaged and have to pay 38k to replace 😥 I only used it one year and nothing happened to the phone from my side. Back few days back this happened my wifi and hotspot stopped working too

Oh yes! Without a doubt, but also has a more natural approach. Samsung has toned down on the processing, but Xiaomi does it more natural.
Which is better? Samsung s21 ultra or xiaomi mi 11 ultra?
Depends a bit on preference, Samsung in terms of software, display just a bit better on Samsung, everything else Xiaomi, with the camera with a pretty large margin

@@ThroughJermainesLens Lastig ... Vind accuduur belangrijk maar opslag ook. Camera is ook belangrijk maar als ik prioriteiten moet stellen dan zet ik accu op 1 samen met opslag en de camera op 2.
@@Roomer645 ok met batterij zijn ze erg vergelijkbaar! ze redden beide ongeveer 7 uur qua scherm aan, wanneer het op camera uit komt... dat is echt een groot deel preference. Ik denk dat de Vivo leuker is om mee te filmen door de filter mogelijkheden, waar de mi11 ultra wel betere sensoren heeft, zo is bijvoorbeeld de zoom echt gewoon veel beter.

Mmm Vivo x80 pro for sure and Sony Xperia too, though the Xperia has a different approach to it, less of a point and shoot

I wish I knew, I haven't tested the 12s ultra, but it really depends also what is important to you, how important is the camera
@@ThroughJermainesLens Don't play games at all. Cameras are very important as well as battery life and stable work of the system
@@GEORGE-ki9xm OK So battery life and stability of system is hard to comment about for me because I simply don't have it. But when it comes to the camera both are great, however of course the main sensor has a pretty decent update from a 1/1.13" sensor size compared to of course a 1" sensor size, which allows for nicer DOF and of course more light to enter, so i expect in those situations to have the bigger improvements, if you like to take shots of nature with more in the shot where DOF is less of a thing then I feel like the Mi11 Ultra with give you a VERY similar experience. But I have noticed that the Mi11 Ultra does seem to receive less updates in the first year.
And of course this is a Chinese version you can only buy for the 12S ultra, this means it can result in less updates for you as well, but that is all guessing. There will be a Xiaomi 13 Ultra for the global market so maybe good to wait?
@@ThroughJermainesLens I have for now Mi9T device which is 3 years old. I left miui because it is very slow and even from this year miui stopped supporting my device and I went to the custom rom (aosp, like pixel 6). I'm gonna buy smth in fall or winter, so better to wait for new videos, isn't it?
@@GEORGE-ki9xm Aaaaah clear!! Yes it is possible worth the wait, but honestly if you are on the mi9T both the mi11 Ultra and 12s Ultra are a good upgrade, battery life for me is of course verrry hard to judge on the 12S ultra seeing how I don't have it, the mi11 Ultra is fine, Just nothing amazing.

yes you can, not to long ago recorded a over 4 minute video with it

I daily drive a poco f2 pro and ngl Xiaomi stepped up their game since miui 13 and poco launcher 4.0
Battery now last me from 7 to 8 hrs with heavy use
That's really good for a nearly 2 year old device
Only issues are:
The custom font is messed up on "Google apps" only*
I cant use 3rd party launchers with gestures still
No 3rd party icons support
But I never see any differences in the cameras after updating

yeah official Xiaomi sites will focus on their new ones, so you would need to get it via just regular seller in your country

oeh... oef... I have all 3 and I think all 3 are close. I will say both Xiaomi's beat the OnePlus in terms of camera for my own preference. But not like a crazy amount. However the Xiaomi 12 Pro beats both of them without a doubt in low light! BUT the mi11 ultra has the far better zoom, better natural DOF as well.
for use, the OnePlus without a doubt is a lighter skin and does feel like that while using it.

It should, but I cannot confirm this because I have no experience with a Chinese ROM version, based on what I seen others doing with imported Xiaomi devices they normally get updates

When i updates my mi 11 ultra to miui 13 my phone work fine 2 days but suddenly stop working black screen i try to restart by click in volum and power botton the phone show a green screen and turn off .... i try again just black screen
Honestly, I would advice going to a local phone store or ask Xiaomi, it can be several things that is hard to judge this way
i fear in mi12 back screen stop working, glag it keep working and even become better.
there will probably be no back screen anymore like the mi11 ultra, a real shame for those who want that proper quality!

I hope in mi13ultra xiaomi place underscreen front camera for face recognition and for selfie return back screen. Because Xiaomi doesn't fear to risk.
