I'm really excited to share with you my new Superfish Scaper 90 aquascaping aquarium. I can't wait to set this up, what do you think I should do with it? IF YOU ENJOYED THIS VIDEO PLEASE LEAVE A LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE IF YOU'RE NOT ALREADY
I just got this set to set up some time later this year (25% off at Pets Place this week so I had to get one). Superfish does have a led controller now which allows the light to come on gradually in 30 seconds or 10 minutes.
I bought the 45 version last week and it's been running for a couple of days. Your review is very fair, I think they are great value. The only thing I have to say is that the filter set up is problematic. I completely removed the cartridges and used some compatible pvc pipe to redirect the flow to the bottom of the filter and placed some foam on top of it, then placed half a kilo of biohome media on top. It's now an excellent, effective HOB filter. Thanks for the review.
Bought the 60 and was happy with it too aside from the HOB which is rattling like mad. Having taken the pump off (quarter turn and pull down) to check the impeller it seems like the motor in the pump is well out of balance causing the whole unit to rattle. Is yours like this too or did I just get a duff pump perhaps? Great vid!
Just purchased the 45 and turned the filter on, it's rattling like made as well, how do I get it to be quiet? As it states on the manual due to air lock it takes 24 hours for it to get quieter. Any advice?
@@Drazorig2 mine never did. I wrote to superfish and they asked for my address to replace the motor. It never arrived and subsequent request emails ignored. Replaced it with an internal filter for now which eliminated the annoying noise. I have two other ebay HOBs on other set ups that are completely quiet by comparison to this superfish item. At least the glass and light are good!
I bought this set last week good value for the money.. My only concern is the cardridges of the filter i’m thinking to replace the inside sponge for biological filtermedia. Would you recomment to take the mesh out en replace it with filtermedia or take the sponge out and replace it for media ??
Can I ask whether the hang on the back filter is particularly loud? Is the waterfall system loud when it hits the water etc? My only reason for asking such a weird question is because I am planning on putting this tank in my bedroom, but obviously overly obtrusive noise isn't ideal in that setting.
Same size as my nano reef tank, this is a really nice kit for the money though 👌 (except the annoying cartridges) has me thinking about freshwater again 🤔😅
When are you doing at a video on this I’m concidering the 60l for my betta but with an all pond solutions ef 150 filter with bio home ultimate and pond foams
Very good value. Nice footprint. For me personally the light let's it down. I'm a massive fan of dimmable Bluetooth ones. The intake pipe looks really nasty cheap plastic sadly. I must try a hang on the back filter one day. I was really looking forward to you scaping it but you hinted at saltwater ?
I think for the price point certain things needed to be a bit cheaper. However it looks great and as long as the light grows thing well I don't mind putting it on a plug timer. This will be saltwater aquascape. I'm waiting to get a new 3 or 4 ft for a new freshwater scape

Hi ya mate, do you have a long term review / opinion of the superfish scaper led that came with Scaper 90?
Wow really nice Tank and I was shocked it came with plant growing liquids... WOW
Yeah it's brilliant

Nice tip thanks. I do agree the filter cartridges are poor

Those dimensions do make it a sweet tank right enough. Nice find mate.
Thanks
Great tank. Looks familiar ha! I look forward to seeing it full of algae 😁
My lights come with a European style two pin plug, what sort of adaptor do you use? Also can you connect a timer to the lights lead?
Mine came with an adaptor. Yes a timer works

You can do anything but I would do at least one with bio media and one as mechanical
@@EverydayAquarist thanks for the advice
@@marviin071hey could I get a current update on your situation with the tank? thanks

Not really, slight trickle noise
@@EverydayAquarist Awesome, thank you. And I guess that can be lessened by raising the water level I would imagine.
Hi I’ve just bought this tank and the European plug gets really hot, not sure if it’a normal or it’s just mine, any ideas?
Most LED drivers get pretty hot. Just keep it uncovered and keep and eye on it
UK gets all the kewl stuff :-)
It's nice isn't it!
I changed out the filter straight away . The light is way to strong with no dimmer. I recommend blanking out some of the LED's
How much height do the lights add to the tank?

Yeah it's smart for the money. I'll be doing salt in this tank
hello i want to buy the 60l version is the light good enough with water inside?
i wait for more videos about this tank
thanks
I will be setting it up soon

I'll be setting this up when I get me new fish house ready. I'll be using a fluval 207 so and external is a good idea
Can you get lids for these
Good question. I don't think so however I'm going to use some polycarbonate sheet to make one. I have a diy lid video you might want to watch.
Nice 👍
Thanks
No heater then.
Not as standard no, heaters are only £12 or so. I don't think it's a big issue tbh
Be really careful with co2!
