Flaming Grilled Halloumi Cheese “Saganaki”

Put on a great show for your guests with this quick and easy recipe! Just a couple of slices of halloumi cheese, some ouzo, and a lighter. Opa!

Ingredients
► 1 package Halloumi Cheese, sliced
► ½ shot of Ouzo, brandy, whiskey, or similar strong liquor.
► olive or avocado oil
► ½ lemon (optional)
Directions
WARNING: Please practice this outside until you get the hang of this!
► Season your grill pan with olive or avocado oil and preheat it.
► Grill your slices of halloumi cheese in a cast-iron grill pan. A skillet works as well, but you won’t get those nice sear marks.
► Remove your skillet from the heat and place it in front of your guests (at a safe distance).
► Add the ouzo to your skillet and immediately ignite it. It is traditional to shout “Opa!” when the flame ignites :-D.
► Optional: extinguish the flame with the fresh-squeezed juice of a lemon
