After watching this documentary I am convinced I have seen a Dobhar-Chu'. The sighting was back in 1985 first week of September and my very first fishing trip to Southern Ireland. Walking a river bank in search of a suitable place to fish I disturbed what I thought at the time was an otter , it's length at full stretch as it loped off away from me along the exposed river bank was well in excess of 6 foot, a lot longer than any of the cattle which were grazing along the elevated river bank. On later visits to Ireland I have seen normal sized otters around Balinamore these were 3 to 4 feet in length. I would love to visit Ireland and retrace my steps, retired now I'm pretty sure I could go to the exact spot of my original sighting back in September 1985.🍀🤞
Sounds to me like this might be an ice age version of an otter ancestor or maybe a Canadian or Alaskan otter, since they are the currently biggest ones still around. They can get 3,4 feet long, maybe this is one we haven't seen as they might be that rare. This does sound like a mega-fauna ice age otter species that got isolated to the island and somehow has survived to this time there.
Northern sea otters can stretch over 5 feet in length, so it's not surprising that a secretive creature like the Dobhar-Chu' could evade humans and their cameras. There are many wild and remote places in the world, and if I were an animal, I'd avoid humans if at all possible. I've little doubt that some species not yet discovered or those declared extinct may be hiding themselves away.
Enhydriodon omoensis was a prehistoric Giant Otter, there are many things that we yet do not know, and sometimes myths and legends turn out to be actual facts lost in time and folklore

That recording sounds so much like an otter call. I'm convinced this is a megafauna ice age otter species that got isolated to that area and survived. Or is it a super version of either an Alaskan or Canadian otter that somehow made it to that area during one of the post mini ice ages. Alaskan and Canadian otter are big,3,4 feet long, not like the little 2 foot ones you see off California. 2 more feet isnt a big leap since this animal is decribed at 6 feet,at least. What a find of a lifetime to find one of these and document their existence. I'm just completely convinced this is a real world animal,we're still discovering animals we didnt know existed.

People like you are insane. There are animals we have yet to identify. That's the real world. The mental gymnastics you have to perform to come to such a conclusion is almost impressive. Animals like these may well fall into extinction before we get the chance to protect them, and people like you will be to blame.
so unlike the usual tall tales, the Dobhar Chu has scat, recorded calls, a discovered kill, local attestations from history and credible witnesses. This is an undiscovered animal not a boogeyman. And why a "skeptic" and a mincing storyteller should have any part in this I do not. A professional cryptozoologist should be searching for the Dobhar Chu and with no doubt in my mind they'll find it.
I say, If it's apart of the mythology and folklore of the place then it is the local wildlife. Leave it be to do it's part in the ecosystem. That is unless it considered your livestocks, you, your family and your neighbors as part of the ecosystem.
How DARE you! OK, I'll be the first to admit my mother-in-law isn't the most beautiful woman around, and she could stand to lose a few pounds. Well, maybe a couple of hundred pounds. However She isn't a terrible monster, although she did beat me into a bloody, blubbering pulp those two times. I was partly to blame for that, I had been warned not to venture too close to her enclosure and not to make eye contact. Despite all this, she is still worthy of basic human dignity and respect.
I am second hand offended on behalf of the “slow thinker”. Our brains work amazingly fast and an animal attack may seem like it lasts a long time but are usually over in moments. I have no doubt they could have been snatched and dragged, and while articulated it seemed like he pandered his options and realized he had a knife, that would have been seconds or fractions of seconds in execution.
How comes there's always just 1 of these things and everybody seems to see the same one. They've been seen for hundreds of years but never a dead body, droppings, small ones or maybe an actual viable population. Just one... living for hundreds of year. And if there's is more than one... there is a population and there must be physical evidence over the many years.

Does he ever blink ? lol
Has anyone considered that is was a seal.... I have seen seals come more inland than you'd think. They too are carnivorous opportunists.
The thumbnail picture is a young horse covered in river mud having a splash around in a cool refreshing river. I've seen this kinda thing many times. It's certainly isn't a "river monster" lol.
Um no that's no horse it's a otter eating a fish
❤❤❤
It is the wow dragonflight tuskarr mount
Love how they say huge wild places when they are on an Island smaller than the American state of Indiana!!
I say, If it's apart of the mythology and folklore of the place then it is the local wildlife. Leave it be to do it's part in the ecosystem. That is unless it considered your livestocks, you, your family and your neighbors as part of the ecosystem.
Lol the couple at the start have 2 different stories. Then the guy who's an artist says while drawing I had to use imagination. 😂😂😂
Connor mcgregor should be in rehab, not hanging out in the lake
How DARE you!
OK, I'll be the first to admit my mother-in-law isn't the most beautiful woman around, and she could stand to lose a few pounds. Well, maybe a couple
of hundred pounds. However She isn't a terrible monster, although she did beat me into a bloody, blubbering pulp those two times. I was partly to blame for that, I had been warned not to venture too close to her enclosure and not to make eye contact.
Despite all this, she is still worthy of basic human dignity and respect.
Well if it was a giant sea otter it’s got to be dead by now, it’s twenty years old. Oh maybe it’s a silke ! 😊
So it’s an air Breather . If enough people were to go to the lake at one time they would be able to see it .
and it had 4 arses, and no knees, and fire in its belly
I am second hand offended on behalf of the “slow thinker”. Our brains work amazingly fast and an animal attack may seem like it lasts a long time but are usually over in moments. I have no doubt they could have been snatched and dragged, and while articulated it seemed like he pandered his options and realized he had a knife, that would have been seconds or fractions of seconds in execution.
at 23 mins, irish guy needs a map, im scottish dont need a map in ireland
I wonder if anyone tried actually snare or cage trapping this thing for scientific purposes
What about the Silkies?
A South American water tiger is documented by taking a young boy and disembowled him it's different from the king otter.
Mr. Peppy

Ahhh ok
Funny as fk 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shure: Ireland's Cross Breed Lake Monster Captured ! Have you read what you wrote ?
I thought you're Chanel said it was captured. Click bait? I won't watch any more of this chanel.
10:08 dogman eat the soft tissue,
💡💡💡Use a drone and cameras‼️‼️‼️
Ok. I'm Irish. This is absolute bullshit. But can I have whatever they are on! Actually I have had several pints of a certain tar colored beverage before seeing this shit.
13mins in sounds like a killer whale
Ask the little people they will know
Sweeney Todd 😮
wasn't an otter. was a sea lion.
