No one and i mean no one can do Zeppelin that way Heart does Zeppelin.
I don't know how the Wilson sisters did this with the surviving members of Led Zeppelin looking on! And John Bonham's son Jason on drums puts it over the top. Robert Plant in tears, and Jimmy Page and JPJ both smiling. Incredible!

What an amazing tribute to Led Zeppelin. The drummer is Jason Bonham, son of Zep's legendary drummer John Bonham.
John died in 1980. The group decided to disband instead of replacing him.

Agreed! The original is put together perfectly which is why I prefer that. But this certainly is the best cover! Heart is absolutely phenomenal.

Robert and John Bonham were best friends and played in a band together before Jimmy Page built the monster rock band of all time known as Led Zeppelin and pulled Robert to sing and John to pound. With all of the issues Jimmy would need to fight through over time, he almost always made the perfect choices.

The other guys John and Jimmy seem ok but robert is having a hard time dealing with it being over.. to old. I know I miss playing in front of people most musicians back then felt they were gifted for a reason. That is to make hearts and minds better.
You want to keep doing it. It's the most enjoyable time of my life to play music. It was exiting and fun

Its hard to believe that Robert Plant was brought to tears..even after decades of him getting pissed if anyone ever covered any of Zeppelin`s songs...let alone Stairway, arguably their biggest hit!

It may sound crazy, but i was blessed to have parachute malfunctions and lost in the willderness in a vw van, but this song reminds me of those adventures and my wonderful life...Richard.
I have always felt that this is a song that should never be covered, its sacred, almost.
But this was amazing, I'm not surprised that Robert Plant was overcome.
Its so well produced with the strings etc, then the choir, OMG.
Its more pointiest because because Jason, son of Bonzo, is playing, he is so much more than a son of, amazing drummer, like his dad, must be his DNA.

This performance was so epic. Having the ladies of Heart playing and singing this song gave me chills. I loved the look on Jimmy Page and Robert Plant was amazing. They were Honored in such a beautiful way. I also loved how the musicians got up to show honor and respect those there of Led Zeppelin. I'm so glad you saw this. It was truly an amazing tribute to an awesome band.

Heart doing Stairway To Heaven was one of the best ever for the Kennedy Center Honors. Very Emotional. The best ever in My Opinion was when Aretha Franklin did - Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman (Live at Kennedy Center Honors)

I'm VERY excited to say , that I am going to see HEART live for the first time this September! Although I've been a fan of Heart for MANY years I never have seen them live. My buddy called me and said that I must get September 21st off from work . I asked why and he said you and I are going to see HEART live. OMG !!!! They are also playing with another of my favorite bands STYX , so it's gonna be a double whammy for me. This will be so awesome, I can't wait. I'll let y'all know how the show was.

Here's an update on how the concert was......UNBELIEVABLE!!!! It freaking ROCKED ! souvenirs were a little spendy though. My t-shirt cost $50 , and a pint of beer was $11 ! But other than that it was Well worth it.

Led Zeppelin came together one last time in December 2007 they had their Celebration Day concert at the O2 Arena in London. In had room for 20 thousand people. So they had people send in ticket requests for the concert. They received 23 million ticket requests from around the world. I was one that sent in a request but was not successful in getting a ticket. Jason Bohnam joined Led Zeppelin as the drummer because he was considered linked to the group by blood. This would be Led Zeppelin’s last concert. You should watch the finale song at the concert Kashmir it was fantastic and showed Jason Bonham’s skills and the Led Zeppelin can still perform at a high level.
