Skellige Isles has many different battle themes. Here is one of them.

When a level 8 witcher spends 40 minutes hit and running a level 25 Leshen that can one hit you.
Only to get a low lvl useless reward cuz loot scales down to Your lvl xD

Ahh, awesome soundtrack. It makes me so hyped for battle! Like that one with 48 lvl archgriffin on isolated island north from Ard Skellig, while being 32 lvl. It went for about 10 minutes. Duking it out while listening to this soundtrack. It's awesome how loads of battles are boss battles in character.

This theme rarely shows up in my playthroughs and its almost exclusively reserved for bosses in my case...ah the chills
It almost always plays in Skellige when fighting nightwraiths or leshens
Exploring Skellige for the first time was simply breathtaking for me.The mysteries and the unknown there was something other areas didn't really provide.
Glad I got this game.

Ancient Leshen in Monster Hunter World is the hardest fight in the game it's scale on "Death March" diffilcuty and oh boy the fight with this music is pure genius

Ancient Leshen in TW3 is a pussy compared to the Ancient Leshen in Monster Hunter World.

@ESSVNERR MHW has a whole Witcher 3 crossover, you can play as Geralt and learn a bit about how the world of monster hunter works from his perpective.

The music is akin to dancing themes for swordsmen. It makes sense for the usual fighting in the game
Why this theme is unreleased? This theme is awesome.
Guessing they had to prioritize what to include in the CD. Alot of the best tracks were left out though

Holy shit what a prediction. There was a crossover event for MHW that added the ancient leshen in as a high rank hunt and CDPR let Capcom use this very theme for the monster.

1:10 This part can be heard in the extended version of "Snow Town Raynu" from the Grandia OST.
Probably one of the "Nordic Keyed Fiddle" samples, but not 100% sure.
So this is the ost used for the MHW crossover, slightly wished to hear "The Trail" while fighting with others and not just the leshen, but this one does well on it's own
Getting some MGS3 vibes with those wind instruments at the beginning, they especially remind me of The Fear and The fury's themes

the violin sound in background at 0:40 and 1:08 or 1:27 is the same (very ideantical) of Elizabethian TV movie: The Virgin Queen. Does anyone know why? Simply a copy of that or there is something referring to skeletons and their dance?
sidhwen8 I bet it's just coincidence, there is lot of music that might have similiar vibes. I've never heard of that Elizabethian TV thing.
I just looked up the soundtrack and there's nothing resembling the violin in this track. Mostly choir and a few sporadic violins here and there that sound completely different.
And what do skeletons have to do with anything?
