I could listen to this all day. I could put this in my CD player and chill to it all day. This guy is the real deal. The phrasing is impeccable. Love it!

The first time I saw him play was about 15 years or so at the South Dakota state fair. There was a band playing there with a pretty good guitar player. They invited Rory to play. That changed everything. The next time I saw him was at the Legion in my home town, Gettysburg. The whole family band was there. I think all the kids were blind. The other kids were good too.
I especially liked the way his mother was selling the cd's. She was fun to watch.
I hope to God you gave him that guitar! The dude is blind and I can't even imagine how hard life must be, yet here he is just loving the guitar and making it sound so beautiful!
There are many performers, many musicians, arrangers and then there are a few other, unique ones, the ARTISTS.

If you've searched for an example of someone who has mastered the neck to the guitar ... Rory Hoffman is at the top of the list in my mind. His playing appears effortless from his mind to his hands.
He is a great musician,..and also i never heard someone hitting those tons on guitar like that,..it sounds amazing..!!!!

regardless of how he plays, some of the best playing I've ever heard period. PRS should hook him up. One of the best PRS demos I've heard, and there are thousands on YT.

When watching Rory perform, I wander if we all should have learned to play the guitar in that way. This style definitely has advantages over the traditional.
Tradition is a huge barrier, but anyone can try it now. Rory is the only one I've seen who plays left handed and inverted. Homework: Jeff Healy, Trey Gunn, Mountain Dulcimer, LinnStrument.

Ori has her points and her playing style I like. That being said, this man is one of those rare people who knew what he liked. Of special note you can't hear his fingers scratch on the strings. He goes from scale to cord without a scratch. That's talent!

He is great! I have an uncle that has been blind since birth and he can play really well too. I think it's cool how a blind person can probably master an instrument like the guitar easier it seems than a sighted person.
I saw Mr. Hoffman live...he is one of the greatest guitarists alive and perhaps of all time. Checkout his current group the Transatlantic Guitar Trio - WOW!!!!!
