I just received my ZERO II today after watching your video yesterday, and yes, mine did not work either. I checked the 5vdc at the +/- pins and this checked out. It looks like a small LED just after the pwr pins which, if it is an LED, does not light. Did you attempt a much higher voltage than 5vdc? I sent RigExpert an email identifying all my actions and included an Arduino sketch. From your comments I probably won't get an answer. Could the folks at RigExpert be fighting the war? Thanks for the post.
if you're subscribed to the channel I can write some C sharp or C plus plus code and post it up on my website and you should be able to tell me if it runs in your Windows 10 on your single board computer and I'll give you the source code and you can figure out which serial Port you want to open in you should be able to tie the TTL lines to the aa0 board and it should fetch the identification serial number
@@ProfessorVector I’m subscribed. But honestly I’m teaching myself. I’m turning this into my hobby. But I’m not able to keep up on everything yet. I think I spend 2 hours reading for every minute spent eating a video
@@ProfessorVector can I just hardwire in to this models corresponding USB, UART, I2C, and SPI interfaces and just plug it into my mother boards open space. I’m new to this. But learning every day
Well at this price point nobody is making any money. How many stand-alone units would they not sell if ya cud plug this thing into a laptop running AntScope. Too bad they create so much customer pain with this product. Fix it or pull it. I'd clean it up and go for a refund. Bad enough you wasted your time.... get ur money back. I thought it seemed too good to be true! Thanks for saving us all from this bad product.
Well after much frustration and beating my head against the wall I do have it working with a nice gooey on an esp32 and a 320 x 480 LCD screen with an encoder knob and button which I plan to make a video of soon
Darn wish I'd seen your TH-cam video before I dropped $100 on this piece of junk. I have pretty much gone through all of the same gyrations that you did and have had the same results. I bought this brick from DX Engineering and am going to return for a refund.
You need to see my other video on how to get it working the five things you need to do you need to reflash it you need to take the tape off the switch and move the power switch I got mine working great but I beat my head against the wall to figure it out now I'm telling everyone how to do it watch my other videos
Hmm, no luck. Did everything exactly like you showed but all I get is an error message that says the serial number of the board doesn't match board type.
@@paulanderson997 Hi Paul sorry to hear that. My serial number is 400100334 I would guess yours should start with 4001 also I would suggest h9ounding Rig Expert tech support with screen shots and numbered questions. I found after a few days they will answer the questions or find some one who will. Feel free to post them here or email some I see how I can help wb9raa.com/pgcontact.php
@@paulanderson997 Hi, I havent had issues with this but other USB products have worked differently thru a HUB or not thru a HUB I'd say try no USB hub, non powered hubs and powered hubs. Like my Rigol scope will write to a flash drive but not thru any hub. I have a 17 port Sabrent powered hub works great. In the garage i had laser and cnc issues thru a Sabrent 4 port hub found two bad ports - gorilla glued the two bad ports so they cant be used other two work fine. At work I seen my fair share of flakey usb hubs.

At this point has anyone determined if this can be directly connect to a SBC X86 running windows 10 via Uart or USB.
I don't see why not if u can run 38, 400 baud n81
And get the timing timeouts right
What compiler will you be using.?
Wingw or ms vs should work

@@ProfessorVector VERY GOOD!
They aren't from Ukraine, right? I wonder why they might be late responding to emails. Hmmmmm who knows.
Yes Ukrane but some people get replies in a day other no reply at all. I just sum it up to bad customer service.
