    Take a look at this system, it's not exactly a WR Star, but it is a bynary system of a blue subgiant star and a black hole. 166 Solar Masses in total, pretty cool. The name is RS 8475-1-1-6-56

    You can make elements heavier than iron through fusion, but the reason why it's the cutoff point for stars is because Si->Fe is the last fusion reaction that produces a net output of energy. After that, fusing heavier elements requires more energy than you will get out of it, and so when stars start fusing iron, they can't maintain their outward pressure anymore and collapse and create a supernova.

    4 wolf-rayet stars all found in the Tadpole galaxy, Thir names are: RS 7756-173260-0-0-111, RS 7756-173118-0-0-874, RS 7756-173250-0-0-40 and RS 7756-60861-0-0-351. They are precedually generated so they might not be real but they are definitly worth checking out.

    Anton, the exposure can be controlled in the lower right of the screen, the - 0 + adjusted and resets it.
    Also the check mark just sets time back to 1sec per/sec.

    Turn clusters off when looking for WRs. It will be easier to pick them out.

    Anton, so far I have found a few Wolf Rayet Stars in Space Engine when I was exploring in many other galaxies. But most of the random Wolf Rayet Stars I have found where in a binary with a blue main sequence star.

  • @spacetraveler3056
    @spacetraveler3056 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I found another wolf Rayet star. However I haven't found a wolf Rayet star in a while. By the way, the blue main sequence stars in Space Engine that orbit around wolf Rayet stars are usually hot O type stars.

    Stellar wind stars or wolf rayet star may actually be common as hyper giants that lost their outer layers from gamma ray bursts.

    So I saw neon on the type 2 supernova chart image shown. Is this where neon is created mainly? Are wr stars the only ones that go type 2?

  • @NeovenatorRex
    @NeovenatorRex 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Orion Nebula wasn't created by a Wolf Rayet star nor by any other star, it is a Hydrogen Nebula, which hasn't ever been in a star.

    in your videos you seem to sometimes mistake brown dwarfs & red dwarfs im sure you know but since your presenting so much information some particular star facts arnt always going to be right like saying wolf 359 is a brown dawrf

  • @Sam-oz8pn
    @Sam-oz8pn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    When the wolf- rayet explodes, will the expusion of mass go to the neutron star and cause a type a supernova?

    • @Sam-oz8pn
      @Sam-oz8pn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      But does it go through a neutron star first and then to a black hole or just directly to a black hole?

    • @Sam-oz8pn
      @Sam-oz8pn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nevermind, I get it now
      But in the binary system of the wolf rayet star and the neutron star, would the supernova of the wolf rayet star blast enough mass into the neutron star to make it collapse into a black hole?

    if everything is made of the same stuff, is everytging alive or is everything dead?

    • @JAJE3U8
      @JAJE3U8 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +My Nigga Etika 'Alive' is when molecules arrange themselves in such a complex manner that they can reproduce themselves and carry out basic processes to gather materials and energy. You could say that there isn't anyone really alive on earth. It's just a lot of molecules interacting with each other in beautiful ways. You could also say that everything in the universe is alive because of the constant change we see and the amazing interactions of celestial objects. However, as far as we know, everything that doesn't possess DNA inside of it isn't 'alive' in the earthly sense.
