So when he sings ‘Du hasst mich’ he says ‘ you have me’, but you can also hear ‘you hate me’. Finally the sentence evolves to ‘you have asked me and I said NO!!!’ The basic meaning is him denying the question for marriage. ‘Will you love me till death due us part?... NO!!!’. That’s basically the meaning.

@CoDGplays The lightning is not real though. In this Video you can see that the ligthning comes from above from pretty far away. So this Generator would need to be above him, yet above his head you do not see anything what would be able to emit that ligthning. Also the distance of the lightning is so far how would only his fingers trigger those ligthning sparks and only precisely those who just press a key down, but not any other part of his body ... Atleast his Head which is very open or his other hand could interfere with it and make the sparks go everywhere. There is actually live recorded material of this exact concert from the audience and you won't see any lightning there, so you seem to lie right out of your mouth just to get some attention.

Thats wrong he is Allways on a treadmill since the band hit international fame. He uses as an element of an workout since a keyboarder do not have much to do on stage. So it was his decision to place a treadmill on stage to seperate him from other keyboarders
The lightning is not done in post. It is actually a fairly old live lighting technique. It was used all the time LIVE in the WWF for example during Undertaker segments. It is a projection.

I consider it a privilege that I was able to see Rammstein in 1995 when they were just opening for Clawfinger and no one knew them back then. Their pyro budget was literally just a massive propane gas tank on stage bursting out fire over the crowds and Till's famous flame suit so he could sing while actually burning. That's how they started and we were still going shit crazy about that. I still get goosebumps remembering it and I feel happy growing up with their music and their rise \m/

Chris Seavers I appreciate your reply. However I saw Rammstein last year, 20 feet from the stage. The lightening is real. I own every CD/DVD of Rammstein. Yes there are some special effects in this video but i'm not wrong.

All contemporary recordings this gig show no lightning. The vast majority of this is post-production apart from the flames and fireworks.

I just looove their live perfomances. I have been to quite a few of their concerts. Too bad that one of their best performances 'Volkerball' isn't available on TH-cam. For some reason any video from that live performance in France is soon struck down. But if you manage to find any from that, check it out. It is the only live music concert I have ever purchased on DVD.

The "fireworks" for the bazooka-effect are actually on wires for safety-reasons, sometimes when they play "America" afterwards (especially open air) you can see confetti get stuck on the wires.
The lightening isn't fake... There is a "Tesla Coil" placed underabove his head! Yep it's a treadmill. Flake has said it helps him keep time, also he doesn't play on all the songs so he uses it to bust dance moves when not overly involved. The lead singer is a "Certified pyro Technician" it takes 60 hours to set up there stage! Pyro is definitely part of there live shows. They even mark tickets with *Fire zone* to tell people there seats are in the area of intense heat. Also in foreign countries they have a large screen with the lyrics on them to help fans sing along... As if they need it 😃

"how do the audience not just burn to death?" well, the front part of the pit at a rammstein live show is called the feurzone (lit.: fire section/zone) and is the ~extra~ toasty place to be. ...although tbh on the current tour the pyro is spread throughout the whole venue, so even seated at the back we got lightly broiled :) Also, great reaction! Hi, liked your reaction very much. This unbelieve, lol ! That all are live-effects ! They are famous for they live-pyroshows. I think the rockets are mounted to strings above the audience. One hint for you: reacting to official music videos of Rammstein is hard, most of them get blocked. Still some are online, maybe aske the authors of them what to do to not get blocked. Some of them are awsome too, but only one worth the effort is "Deutschland", thats a masterpiece. Be sure to watch it, even if you decide to not to do a reaction video. I first listened to Rammstein about a month ago and have not been able to stop since. Makes me want to learn German so I can understand them. regarding the production value: it's their own camera personal its basicly recorded as promotional videos. (most live recorded you find on youtube are fanmade with hidden cams (or phones nowadays) thats why the difference is so remarkable)

This one is professionally shot with some after effects, but Rammstein's live shows are legendary! I had the opportunity to see them once, they were playing a show half way across the US, but it was probably as close as they were ever going to be to where I lived. I found out about it like literally a week and a half before the concert. I was 100% ready to take the unapproved time off and potentially lose my job, spend two days driving across the country and pay some scalper an insane amount of money just for shitty seats. In the end I didn't go because my friend who was supposed to go with me couldn't. I still regret not going
Yes, the keyboarder (Christopher "Flake" Lorenz) struts on a treadmill for 90% of the concert. The lightning is obviously a CGI-effect for the music video (this is NOT a straight live recording). In the beginning you see Til spit water up in the air. That adds to the sweaty look, obviously. On a side-note, his knee-banging comes from when he had an injury and had to knock his kneecap back into place on occasion. It stuck around as a trademark.
The action with the fireworks didn't even take place in a stadium, but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy ), which would be unthinkable in America due to their immense safety regulations. If they go on tour there, the fans there miss out on a lot.
The only Rammstein songs that I will suggest watching the official music video is 'Sonne' and 'Ich Will'. Only because those particular videos are tied in with the song lyrics, and gives a good visual.

No it's not..This is the live documentary "Rammstein Paris" by Director Jonas Åkerlund..The whole film has some special effects,like Flake's lightning,or Till's face morphing, faces of angels in the background and more..Watch the whole docu on Prime & you'll see!
Chris Seavers I appreciate your reply. However I saw Rammstein last year, 20 feet from the stage. The lightening is real. I own every CD/DVD of Rammstein. Yes there are some special effects in this video but i'm not wrong.
@@laudanum669 This gig was in 2012. I went to see them on this tour (from the same show th-cam.com/video/vpPfmfR-nZ4/w-d-xo.html ). Do you think they'd change their set up just for one show? All contemporary recordings this gig show no lightning. The vast majority of this is post-production apart from the flames and fireworks.
@@HughJampton66 You´re right, you do not see the lightening in the original videos (live performance, fan videos) I went to 3 concerts (Wacken, Berlin,Dresden) of Rammstein and there was no lightening in this way, only the pyro-technics.

I just looove their live perfomances. I have been to quite a few of their concerts. Too bad that one of their best performances 'Volkerball' isn't available on TH-cam. For some reason any video from that live performance in France is soon struck down. But if you manage to find any from that, check it out. It is the only live music concert I have ever purchased on DVD.

The "fireworks" for the bazooka-effect are actually on wires for safety-reasons, sometimes when they play "America" afterwards (especially open air) you can see confetti get stuck on the wires.
The fireworks that comes back are on fire but not the one Till shoots.

The lightening isn't fake... There is a "Tesla Coil" placed underabove his head! Yep it's a treadmill. Flake has said it helps him keep time, also he doesn't play on all the songs so he uses it to bust dance moves when not overly involved. The lead singer is a "Certified pyro Technician" it takes 60 hours to set up there stage! Pyro is definitely part of there live shows.
They even mark tickets with *Fire zone* to tell people there seats are in the area of intense heat. Also in foreign countries they have a large screen with the lyrics on them to help fans sing along... As if they need it 😃

"how do the audience not just burn to death?" well, the front part of the pit at a rammstein live show is called the feurzone (lit.: fire section/zone) and is the ~extra~ toasty place to be.
...although tbh on the current tour the pyro is spread throughout the whole venue, so even seated at the back we got lightly broiled :)

Hi, liked your reaction very much. This unbelieve, lol ! That all are live-effects ! They are famous for they live-pyroshows. I think the rockets are mounted to strings above the audience.
One hint for you: reacting to official music videos of Rammstein is hard, most of them get blocked. Still some are online, maybe aske the authors of them what to do to not get blocked.
Some of them are awsome too, but only one worth the effort is "Deutschland", thats a masterpiece. Be sure to watch it, even if you decide to not to do a reaction video.

I first listened to Rammstein about a month ago and have not been able to stop since. Makes me want to learn German so I can understand them. Another song you might like is Rammstein: Paris "Mutter" official video, Raammstein "Ich Will" official video. I would recommend Rammstein "Engel" official video, but do not know if it should be reacted to, do not know the age group of your subscribers. It pushes the edge of R rating LOL

regarding the production value: it's their own camera personal its basicly recorded as promotional videos. (most live recorded you find on youtube are fanmade with hidden cams (or phones nowadays) thats why the difference is so remarkable)

You should watch Mein Teil next (the live at Hurricane festival version). It's pretty much a must-watch for reaction channels.
The mastermind behind this live dvd or rather movie of a live performance is Jonas Åkerlund. he overall does incredible work. he for example aswell did the music videos for Rammstein's Pussy aswell as Lady Gaga's 13 or 14min video for Telephone. he also worked with artists such as madonna, metallica, u2, and so on

This one is professionally shot with some after effects, but Rammstein's live shows are legendary! I had the opportunity to see them once, they were playing a show half way across the US, but it was probably as close as they were ever going to be to where I lived. I found out about it like literally a week and a half before the concert.
I was 100% ready to take the unapproved time off and potentially lose my job, spend two days driving across the country and pay some scalper an insane amount of money just for shitty seats. In the end I didn't go because my friend who was supposed to go with me couldn't.

The lightning is obviously a CGI-effect for the music video (this is NOT a straight live recording).
In the beginning you see Til spit water up in the air.
That adds to the sweaty look, obviously.
On a side-note, his knee-banging comes from when he had an injury and had to knock his kneecap back into place on occasion.
It stuck around as a trademark.
The action with the fireworks didn't even take place in a stadium, but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy ), which would be unthinkable in America due to their immense safety regulations.
If they go on tour there, the fans there miss out on a lot.

The only Rammstein songs that I will suggest watching the official music video is 'Sonne' and 'Ich Will'. Only because those particular videos are tied in with the song lyrics, and gives a good visual.

I`m Dutch, I understand most of it, have to read the lyrics also but man, they`re a solid band...... I saw a cover band of them last year, even their show was awsome. I think this is one of Germany`s best bands they ever had. (Scorpions come second)

you are really cool! I am German and I am trying to explain something about this vid. the audience sings clearly in high German "you ... you have, you have me!" The recording is from Paris and the French speak little or no German. In addition, the French do not pronounce the "h" and it is all the more fascinating how clearly you can hear "you have". hope could help
... a little addendum. in German, "you have" has the same phonetic pronunciation as "you hate". that's why the first part is celebrated in Germany. "You, you have / hate ... you have / hate me ..." Later the text explains that it should say "you asked me ..."
