The original PLAYSTATION 3 console originally had a very different type of start-up/ boot sequence planned. Let's see how it compares to the original's.
It's better than every other startup for the PS3. Is there a way to enable this with a modded ps3? I hope someone has posted the file somewhere so i don't have to go digging myself. But I am deff going to put this on my ps3
Jeeeez, I MISS the PS3's original firmware startup sound, it felt like starting up my Blu-Ray of inFamous was a grand orchestra! And the unreleased startup is just as great! The current startup is missing the string section of the orchestra, and the magic.
If you have a modded console you can actually change the startup sound to the old one the 1.00 to 2.80 i have a modded phat and changed it and it just fits it sooo much better but if you have a other model ps3 like slim or superslim i personally wouldn't recommend it as it dosent suit them as much as the og phat ps3 but you can do whatever you want no pressure
The original is just the better start up. 100%. So much class and starting it up in my home theater was always a treat to behold. Starting a PS4 and PS5 is no where near the same experience

The Playstation legacy has a lot of soul. Even the names used in its engineering are deep. Ps2 cpu: Emotion Engine Ps3 GPU: Reality Synthesiser Sony likely has some Monk as part of its design team Lmao
Reminds me if how futuristic and technological the original xbox looked! They made it look like that so people thought the console was way out of it’s time and super powerful!
The first start up sound takes me right back to 2006 when I got the all-powerful PS3 at launch. Knowing I have such a powerful, big, beautiful machine with endless possibilities, yet no games for the next few years. The worst case of gamer blue balls 😂 I didn’t use it really until Uncharted 2 was released. That’s when I felt “FINALLY!”
I like that unreleased startup more than the current one. But the original launch version startup is legendary and should never have been updated. I want that one back!

Or CFW + the cold boot file. If it’s not something you’re going to mess around frequently then having the individual file dropped into the system isn’t too difficult.
I think that’s actually a Sony plasma TV, those were out in the same era as the PS3, and were a thing before LCD flatscreens were common. Plasma TVs like that were super expensive, but if you had a PS3, you could probably afford that

It’s called “The 0.90 Cold Boot.”
As long as use you’re running CFW it can be installed as the default boot sequence.

ps3 had amazing audio it even supports 7.1 setups

I prefer the original release. Also, I prefer the original PS store as well. It was more simple to use.

On CFW they have. I’m running it on a custom PS3 I had painted silver to look like the ones showed off at E3 in 2006.
Not adding custom tunes to themes was a lost opportunity
