- Working at a Jimmy John's in a small town was probably the third worst job I've ever had.

I work at JJ's for 3 years and I love it everyone is so nice and it's always so clean
I’ve been there for a good 7-8 months and I agree very nice people I work with great gm and def always clean
did we all have a manager at our first job that offered us weed 🤣
that would be amazing💀
Yeah😂
I did but it was at little Caesar’s 😂 everyone there smokes weed lmao
You just worked at a bad location. It’s the easiest job I’ve ever worked at
This is the most delivery driver of all delivery driver’s
I’m currently a Driver for JJs too. I’ve been working there for a lil over a month. It took a week or so to see the owner and manager(owners daughter) true colors. They’re constantly miserable, stressed and understaffed which makes since because the environment there is toxic AF. There communication skills are horrible and they expect to perform task even if you haven’t been trained or told too smh. I hope all is well brotha.
You must work the same location I did lmao 🤣 because I was trained to do about nothing and expected to do. I had to ask how to do most everything. I believe it has to do with management because I was lead driver last year before this experience and it was a great experience. But this last time I was inshop and it sucked. They scheduled me for 20 hours a week and actually gave me about 7. Let me go as soon as lunch slowed down.
I work at Jimmy Johns and I really enjoy it. We have a boss who cares about us, and the work environment is super laid back.
I’ve worked at a JJ’s for over 2 years at 2 different locations. I’ve done everything from inshop, driver, and manager in that time span. The first location sucked and we there were literally managers doing lines of Coke and not even including the sexual harassment that went on in there. I quit after a year there but my neighbor owned a store as well so I started driving there and making a lot of money as a driver and manager and we have a fairly good staff considering what I came from.
Jersey mike
Lots of people suck at tipping, I’ve literally driven 15 miles one way to get stiffed. Eventually I said screw delivery driving and got in to management.
Damn that sucks man. I make like 20 an hour if u include tips milage and wage. Theres not many places u can make that much with no college or anything, but my city is pretty busy maybe yours wasnt.
Worked for JJ for 5 years in Alabama, Florida, and Colorado. Remember, this is a franchise company. I had some bad experiences in the Birmingham stores, but there are some franchises that are really fucking good. Tampa pays their drivers min wage plus tips and miles. It's a great company if you're with the right franchisee. Sorry you had a bad experience.
Mine was really bad
I work at jimmy johns...it’s not bad at all
Just started working at one of three Jimmy Johns in my town. It's my second day delivering. Yesterday I got 9 deliveries in 4 and a half hours and I thought that was pretty slow and terrible. Today, I got a whopping 3 deliveries in 2 and a half hours. They've got me sweeping the floor, cleaning bathrooms, getting ice, wrapping food, and making food most of the time. That isn't making me much, and it's terrible! My manager just skimmed me through everything there, told me I'd have to memorize the whole menu in two weeks, and threw me in to start being able to do every single task it seems. No actual good training on being efficient or anything. It's such a bad kitchen layout, you are constantly bumping in to everybody. It's an absolute shit show! I just joined hoping I'd be busy with deliveries constantly and not do much else very often. Boy it sucks. I'm hoping my manager assigns me to more busy times later in the day, or night. This week she just added me in. Wish I was looking up more about it before applying. I didn't think it would be so much more shit to do that a pizza delivery place probably doesn't make drivers do. I'm gonna try to join Dominos or Papa John's, they are much better and more busy with delivery I bet. I've been hearing good things about them. I know a big part is if the manager is good though. Nice video, just had to rant a bit. Did the job get better after your first week?
Yes and no. It got better after the first week but got worse after a year.
@Jessejames mcdurmont I did end up getting a Papa John's job. It was so much better and instead of $9-12 an hour, I made $16-22 total
I’m not sure what y’all are talking about. I’m a Monday thru Friday 10-4 driver currently with out Covid hours, and in tips and DMR alone I’ve been averaging $80-90. $140-50 (10.25 hourly) in 6 hours with the occasional 180+ day. The short shift also allows me to mow 15+ yards on the side. $$$
The JJ’s I work at, worked for about a year
*First crew all fired first week I was there* and then worked with my DOO and my DS for couple of months. Here recently got a new GM, they all are amazing fr, we are all friends basically and have a blast working together.
Only issues we got is the owner being-.. potentially in hot trouble with the IRS and our DOO just- shouldn’t. Not bad at their job just- want someone else.
It’s really about the people you got if it’s gonna be good or not
I can tell this guy is going to go big on TH-cam
At what point
Almost a year later, nothing happened
@@NadiaAburouman he's joking
I’ve worked at McDonald’s for a year and I’ve come to find any other job better 😂
Jimmy John's is a godsend. I never have to wait more than 8 min
The Jimmy John’s I work at has awful management as well💀
I just got fired at Jimmy John’s over my availability I’m like whatever cause I working 2 jobs anyway so it didn’t hurt me so much
This was really funny 😆
I was the General Manager of Jimmy John's in downtown Ft. Wayne and I made 10.50 an hour. I made twice as much riding my bike for them.
Wow
They only gave you 10.50 per hour!!!???!!! That is the owner that did that to you. I am a GM and make $20 an hour.
Yeah they were ripping me off.
Great story telling.
Worked at JJ’s for 5 years. Got to work as a PIC fairly quick, but that’s as far as you can move up. A couple of corporate trainers wanted me to move up. Never ended up happening. Even though I was the fastest sandwich maker in the west region. Finally left after not getting a raise, promotion, or anything. Oh well, good riddance. I’m in the automotive field now.
Man that is real tough location then, at the store I reside in everyone is really chill, kinda passive aggressive a lot of them but not enough to be toxic. We all come from amazingly different backgrounds and Imma say this:
I have no idea why its working it just does 😂
I usually get paired with the OG pros who have been working for 2+ years and we get shit done. Whats even cooler is when we get new PIC from a nearby location and they turn out to be kickass people.
When you have an at least acceptable environment its a pretty brain dead job. About everything else still holds true to this very day 😂
I do love a lot of it and Im rather fortunate to say I got really lucky.
I just put in a application😭...
Same
All depends on the company

Ik you probably don't work there anymore lol just talk to them
I’m starting to work there today, oh no I’m very scared
how was it?
@@zesty344 well at first I barely got taught how to do anything I basically taught myself and when I first tried to make my schedule my boss like never answered but nobody else got schedules it’s more like the boss just calls you in but I get paid $10 an hour and I work 5-7pm m,t,w,sa but it’s just a job until I turn 16 and I’m 15 sorry that was long
The CEO is the Devil that kills innocent big game animals all over the world. I would never eat at Jimmy John’s, especially after I saw the employee drop meat on the filthy floor and then pick it up and use it when he though I wasn’t looking
So relatable.....

How did it go?
@@DrizzyEddie was alright till I worked for a month and they let my car blow up with no drivers insurance or anything
This review is just from the outdated stand point of some irresponsible hs kids wanting some extra spending money. If you want a more legitimate experience, try an industrial town or college town. The quality of worker is guaranteed to be better. Since 2014-15, whenever this guy's worked there Doordash has partnered and through them tips are drastically higher. Even regular tips are above the 2 dollar average of this guy's time there. My store also pays mileage on top of tips and the easiest job ever. I was easily making 14-15 an hour part time driving, while going to college. We had people like him who flipped out because they were expected to show up and they never even tried to get someone to cover their shift.
