Yes! Yes! Yes! On the planner. I'm an old (in 60s) ADD woman without medications ever etc and find a daily plan is essential. I've tried journaling over the years and it has been a bust but I love a fast chronicle of the days....I make my own planner. "What Should Happen Today?" and "What Did Happen Today?" and "What's Next? Insights?" sections are great for me. There's more but I'll spare you. I enjoy hearing how you are tackling things!
Oh my gosh this video is giving me all the feels... I also have ADHD and totally get the importance of having the list to start at the very beginning of the day! Also the ticking off everything at the end of the day is the most rewarding experience too! haha
In college, I took a Japanese Tea Ceremony class to fulfill some art credits. It was such a blessing to me because it caused me to take notice of the beauty in simple things. I =n Japan, they call it wabi sabi.
I love your channel, your approach is just calm and pleasant and so insightful. As for Norwex, I had bought lots of microfiber cleaning cloths when they came out and avoided Norwex because of the MLM thing but decided to try Norwex cloths- I gave all non-Norwex cloths to a family member who was just starting out- I will not go back to any other brand when it comes to microfiber cloths; my cloths have lasted 7 years and I am just now getting new ones as a Christmas gift to myself. When we start out in our homemaking adventures, we get what we can afford, but I suggest to get envelopes and label them for items you want but are good quality and cost more than the Dollar Store or Walmart, etc. On one label it Cleaning Items and then list those items with priority first and the cost, like Dyson Vacuum Cleaner $700, Spin Mop with extra mop heads $75, etc and start filling that envelope with cash, when you have saved enough fife one of the top 5 items, you can either go buy it or deposit it in your checking account and buy it online. After 40 years of marriage and lots of money wasted on certain items, I can definitely say- save for the quality items because you won’t replacing them as often and they generally do better- now not all high priced items are worth it and some “cheap” cost items are work horses- it’s trial and error and really digging into reviews, ratings and materials used, etc.
For butternut squash - we love it diced, tossed in bacon grease and smoky seasonings, and roasted til carmalized. OR we love it combined with chili/ taco flacors - in chili, in taco meat, enchiladas...the sweetness goes so well with spicy flavors!
I think us ADHD’ers tend to find one another! I love that you have all of the experience with homemaking and you’re willing to teach it! My mom didn’t teach me to cook (or clean up) so, I’m just beginning to get a rhythm down. I was a perfectionist (and also a master of procrastination 😂) and would barely try to cook anything new.. I bought some yeast the other day so, hopefully it goes well. I don’t have high expectations 😂 I love these type of videos for those reasons 😊 Thanks for being a beacon of light in a dark world 🤍🙏🏻
Love your even speaking voice. It's so soothing and easy to listen to. Love everything you shared, not just this video, but the few others I have listened to so far. I wish we had had vids like this when I was a young ADHD/ASD-AS mom. It would have helped a lot.
I am going to get on your site and finally order and print off those cards you have created they are so clean easy to navigate for kids with adhd like my son. I have tried so many, i have tried these slide chores, paper list, dry erase boards. Nothing helped. These would be good for his mind to be able to flip it over again once he has completed. Not only for him but for my slow learning dyslexia daughter ❤ thank you for being such a blessing
I look forward to your videos so much, they are so genuine and full of love and so inspiring and thank you so much for all the effort that you put into making these vlogs and being so open. Many thanks from the U.K. x
Thanks so much for this upload. Its been a tough couple of weeks--the Lord feels far from me and its hard to find joy right now. This video was just what i needed to hear. You really ministered to my spirit. ❤
Yey we have the same spray bottles. I love citrus and vinegar concoctions. That's how I make use my degreaser! I love your large sink so much. It looks so clean now. This old stove you have is so neat. I've had Norwex for over a decade and probably need to replace some haha. I used one so much that it disintegrated on me! Every video you make, it makes me want to hang out with you! Sage makes things amazing and I haven't really used it much in my cooking! I need to learn of this magic ingredient! I love that you make ravioli from scratch. I think I'd have fun making it the hand way too. Loved watching that process.
This was great!! I would love more cleaning videos. I am encouraging myself to go through several places that need my attention. My goal is to do those things so that I can paint my kitchen island and pantry during our Thanksgiving break and paint our sunroom during our Christmas break. Doing this it gives me a good amount of time so that I am not overwhelmed but things really get my eyes to look over everything. I that we have lived in our house 3 1/2 years I have finally found what I like and all. LOL Its just my way of looking forward to do those projects. Thanks for the ideas! I absolutely love the variety of things that you talk about in the videos now!! Always nice to see you
I sometimes think I have AFHD. Except I have never been hyper. I am a seriously chilled person and don’t even particularly enjoy being around hyper people (or dogs😊) Though I will say that both can be entertaining.
When using it, it comes clean of larger particles, but I also put it in the dishwasher and soak it in peroxide regularly. I should show that in a video, that's a great question!
@@mountainmamashome Thank you so much! I actually bought one after seeing you use it before, but have hesitated to use it as I was unsure about cleaning it. Did it know it could go in the dishwasher. Duh!
Would washing soda get off the black flakes in my cast iron skillets? I’ve tried the salt and potato method but it didn’t help. I sautéed butternut squash in butter and added maple syrup and rosemary. It was wonderful!
Do you mind me asking where you got the crochet cover for the cooler? I’ve looked on Etsy and can’t find anything like it. It would be so lovely to have it on my eye sore cooler 😂
Well, yes I'll tell you but you'll be disappointed to hear the answer, lol! I made it. Maybe I should look into making them for my shop. I'll have to think about this! I just remembered, I have seen covers for sale. Here's some to get you started! amzn.to/3FTiyfB
This is the first video of yours that I’m watching. I have both Norwex and e cloths but I’m ready to toss them because of the smell. I bothered boiling them as suggested by the rep. Do you have any tips?
I have had that problem too, It's because they are so tightly weaved. Although they pick up everything, they have a hard time letting go of it! I actually put mine in the instant pot with washing soda a few times. Between each time in the Instant pot I would hand wash them in hot water wearing rubber gloves. Mine are very old and it was shocking how much dirt I got out of them! They clean much better now too after that.
I just want to say that I adore your channel. I would call myself more of a non-tradwife, or a secular homemaker. Most of the homemaking content I come across on YT is, for obvious reasons, Christian-themed. This is OK with me, I just appreciate you not completely centering your content on it. I mean, you do and you don't.. You're just welcoming, I guess is what I'm saying. I was raised in a very Catholic upbringing and have decided that I don't want that for my children, but I am a SAHM and homemaker- not because I believe that that is a woman's place, but because it's a beautiful art, and I wanted to be present with my babies. I appreciate your content a lot, another of my fave YTers is Dawn from The Minimal Mom, who is also very religious, but she isn't always talking about it. I also struggle with ADHD, depression, and anxiety, so I especially appreciate this content. Thank you for your beautiful cinematography, too! ❤ PS: I am very spiritual and believe in God deeply. I'm more of what they've termed "SBNR", Spiritual but not religious.
You are right, I got the wrong link. Sorry about that! Here is info to answer your question though. There is a difference between washing and baking soda. www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=baking+soda+vs+washing+soda&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
i made my 'adopted' MIL laugh the other day....we get huge bags of discarded cleaning cloths from a friend who works for a laundry/uniform service. many of these items still have years of life left, maybe a hem has come undone or they were the wrong color or a small stain. (We are a very wasteful society, but I digress....). They will get thrown out, but he 'rescues' them. We are all farmers & mechanics in the family - those bags are like gold. But I was picking through....& ugh...microfiber. I threw it back in the bag & announced that I wanted to dry heave. I absolutely HATE anything with microfiber. I will NOT touch it. my hands are so rough from the work I do, that the cloths stick to them. I hate the feeling of them & I don't think they clean anything - just smear stuff around. & if they don't dry all the way, they StINk. I have to vote for cotton knit washcloths for cleaning, all the way🤣Best part, when they get a hole, I just compost them. LOL If I want smear free glass, I use a coffee filter.
I have the same feelings about microfiber! I don't think most of them even clean well. The Norwex ones surprised me when I found them years ago, they feel like cotton and definitely clean better than cotton, and they don't stick to my hands when dry. I have an e-cloth and I don't like them as well. They don't do as good a job as cotton. My Norway have been going strong for 9 years and running! The only thing about Norwex is a couple times a year they have to be boiled and rinsed for about a day. I actually use my instant pot. If they stink they need to be stripped. I usually use Washing Soda when I strip them.
You are a blessing to younger women who need a mentor. Stay in prayer and walk in Peace. God bless you and your family.
Thank you, Valerie!

What are the songs in your video- especially the first one?
I have a link to where I find music in the description 😊.
Where did you get the dish scrubbing brushes from, as well as the drain catcher? I did not see links in the description box.
Hello! It's in the description box, but I'll share the link to them again here for you :-)

Yes, between 190 and 200.
