Mav you are a good soul. I told my brother about you. He has done the same thing with his truck just like you except it is diesel. He loved camping with the family. He also was a great soul. He passed on Monday from cancer. Seeing this made me smile alot and it was needed. Thank you!! Keep up the truckin!

Could've gone out and just bought 40 meals from somewhere but instead works for hours in a garage preparing them on his tailgate. The time you took to do this speaks volumes, Mav. All of those people would've appreciated any warm meal. But the fact that you went out and bought everything and then spent hours preparing it all shows how much you really care. I’m at a loss for words. Mav has always demonstrated kindness but this. This is above and beyond. Wow just wow
My daughter is spending Thanksgiving without electricity and water in her tiny off-grid cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. She managed to deep fry a 20 lb turkey, made 4 trays of stuffing with her homemade cobb oven, ambrosia salad with pineapple & pistachios, and several trays of apple brown betty w/ pecans. She intended to drop it off at a shelter, but they couldn't allow it due to food preparation restrictions. Instead, she drove to a "tent city" homeless encampment in a local park. Everyone was happy to help pass out food and clean up. Everyone ate and shared stories. She says that it was one of the most memorable meals ever, and she hopes to do it again for Christmas!

Never stayed at a shelter, but I went to a soup kitchen or two and the food was so salty it was barely edible at one place and old at the other!

im sorry to hear that! i volunteered at a soup kitchen in Ottawa, Canada and the meals we made were AMAZING! no joke, better than what i or most of the people i know eat at home. i guess the quality varies wildly depending on the shelter.

i like to think that there are a LOT of people that would LOVE to give like mav did in this video, I think the main problem people have is that they are already struggling to feed themselves and their families, so its hard for the people who don't have much money to do such a thing, hopefully one day everyone will start loving each other :)

I think this is my favorite video you have shared (that I've watched) thus far. You not only took the time to personally cook- and season all the food, you also then took the time in the morning to reheat them. which a warm meal has such a touch of kindness and love. We always have this conversation over the dinner table. But the irony is, the more he has the more he needs! With time men's urge to have more and save more grows. When that urge reaches pinacle at old age, it feels like a perfect Illusion suddenly. But too late to do something! All of it now given to the next generation to inherit.
