We Filipinos are good in english when we are writing but when we talk it just does not come out. And to those ladies they just can't think straight probably due to overthinking and panic.
I think you would like to change something about your comment "We Filipinos are good in English when we are writing" actually not all Filipinos are that good, even when they are just writing, there are some who struggles with grammar, and there are some who struggles with spellings. There are Filipinos who are good indeed, but it really depends on how/where/why they learned English tbh, but I think you are aware of that, right? That should be one of the main focus, because English is an international/universal language, it will help them, though undoubtedly they should also focus on keeping the Filipino language alive and well maintained My main objective in commenting is, we should point out that there good English speakers and/or writers here, but there are also people who needs a little help, if we just keep on saying that "We're all good, that there is just a little problem here and there, no biggie" then unfortunately nothing will improve
Don't literalize what samsung stated. Well, when we express in writing, we may or we can have all the privilege to perfect it, a chance we can be limited of, when we are speaking... especially before a big crowd! But I understand, samsung's claim, "we Filipinos", I know samsung means most of us and not really all. And I understand samsung is not pointing out on technical writing, grammar rules and all technical stuff. I have read Samsung's comment in a way he/she is just pertaining to "expression". Meaning, we can express and deliver ourselves better in writing than speaking, regardless if we commit grammar lapses or lack the right words to use, still, it is more convenient for most to do it in writing compared to speaking. (I remember...public speaking) Exact reason why, Most of us prefer written exams over recitation. Same thing we come up with, Many (much? nope) #hugot feels (feelings).

Lesson learned for pinay beauty contestants if you can’t express your self in English speak in tagalog... walang masama dun... ang mahalaga ay nasabi mo Kung ano ang nasa puso mo... si Lord na ang bahala 🙏🏼 pero sana maging proud pa din tayo sa kanila kasi they put themselves in that position so let’s just understand them and no more bashing! God bless everyone!
He's actually being biased towards her. Nakalimutan ko lang name ng host but hes actually a male top model then and Dindin was a budding print n TV ad model in the industry magkabaro sila. The host was actually being mean to the audience trying to shush everyone. All were actually rooting for her kahit BBPCI. Nevertheless and despite her poor performance she still bagged the BBP-U tile when it could have been the much better Ruffa Guttierez.

Beauty pageantry is not just for beautiful people but this contest is for intelligent human beings because some of the Filipinos aren't fluent in English. I hope our future Filipinas are working harder for their English fluency. And I thank you!
Janina San Miguel shows how exactly one of my classmate answers/reports in class and we always have a good laugh out of it he's such a sunshine and there was never a dull moment if he's the one in front answering XD (because literally you don't understand half of his hour long answers)
I go for substance over form. It does not matter if the answer has grammatical errors as long as it hits the nail in the head. Someone can be very good with words but can't actually speak with substance. The problem with the culture of the Philippine pageantry is our obsession with speaking in English for Q&A's and forgetting that being eloquent isn't exclusive for the English language speakers. I wish to hear candidates in the national pageantry to speak in fluent and formal Tagalog, Bisaya or Ilonggo or other Philippine languages.
“El nino is what we are facing right now, if we do simple things like planting trees. Then we will not experience draught right? So if we start now, we will achieve La nina”. Out of all answers dito talaga ako natawa 😆
I admire those teachers who let their students stand on their seats and answer the questions they want us to answer. And I really hate answering questions by composition, I mean it's also a good method, but public speaking is more applicable in our daily lives. It's just that my verbal skill is not highly developed while my compositional skill is "kinda" developed more than my verbal skills. And it sucks.
Jeanie’s answer has sense. Just that audience are sooo loud she missed to make impact. Gloria Diaz was nodding and was getting what she’s trying to say and waiting for her, sadly she no longer pushed for it.

That's the biggest test of how much confident you are about yourself
@@btsxmbti-wwh4382 a queen never wear bikini while speaking in public. Give me one u know.
Jeanine Anderson's answer was correct. She's got a point but she didn't just explain it clearly.
Miss Jeannie Anderson has a point, di niya lang maexplain ng maayos.
Jessa Mea Agoncillo truuue
Agree
Jeannie : *well uhmm quiet please*
Audience on 2006: *applauds*
2019: *aTtiTudE kA sIs?*
Quiet* try again
@@burjer8921 It's the autocorrect and it's kinda laggy that time but I already edited it
(There is also a word quite so I guess while typing this I accidentally tapped the word "quite" instead of "quiet" sorry
Okay sure
omg hahahahahaha
i love the first host ❤
I feel like I can feel what they feel honestly because there are many situations in my life that I experienced or still experiencing hard times when it comes to communicating to other people or expressing myself.
Janina San Miguel, “Quiet Please” at “We can achieve La Niña” talaga ang ICONIC! HAHAHA
Wow that first man was soo kind... He was such a sweetheart and such a gentleman
I appreciate the effort of the host helping Dindin Gallardo to loosen up.. sana dumami kagaya nya. ☺
They could have spoken Tagalog or used an interpreter. There's nothing wrong with that.
Here I am, laying in my bed, laughing like I could answer shjts like that in a stage.
samedt siz
I FEEL EMBARRASSED FOR THEM WHILE WATCHING . IDK WHY HAHAHHA ... QUIET PLS
Tawagdun cringe cringey cringing
POCHA SHEYT HAAHAHAHH
"I will not change my legs because im contented with my long legged"
Edit:That La Niña one and the cyberbullying had me going
Tindi nito eh,
Given the chance to train contestants to strengthen their speaking skills will always be my advocacy and is a pleasure because communucation is my thing in my entire life.
My best advice to cyber bullying is to love your mother. Hahaha
Salute sir!!

Hmm, I think she is very nervous but I know she is good in answering.. hehe..
Best answers among all.
The first person who asked the question was so nice
Janina:"'I Did Not Expect, That I Came from the Tough 10."
I cant get over with these following clips its so funny how they answer but on the other hand they still have d guts to finish the answer and they nailed it yoh!!!
Sorry. Pero d ko kinaya ung 'my pamily' patawad natawa talaga ako. 😂😂😂

Tough 10
Beauty pageantry is not just for beautiful people but this contest is for intelligent human beings because some of the Filipinos aren't fluent in English. I hope our future Filipinas are working harder for their English fluency. And I thank you!
Ang dameng comments dito! "Quiet Please! " 😂
Janina San Miguel shows how exactly one of my classmate answers/reports in class and we always have a good laugh out of it he's such a sunshine and there was never a dull moment if he's the one in front answering XD (because literally you don't understand half of his hour long answers)
"IM SO SORRY I TOLD YOU IM SO CONFIDENT ETO WEYT"HAHAHAGAG
HHAHAHSHSHAH
I go for substance over form. It does not matter if the answer has grammatical errors as long as it hits the nail in the head. Someone can be very good with words but can't actually speak with substance.
The problem with the culture of the Philippine pageantry is our obsession with speaking in English for Q&A's and forgetting that being eloquent isn't exclusive for the English language speakers. I wish to hear candidates in the national pageantry to speak in fluent and formal Tagalog, Bisaya or Ilonggo or other Philippine languages.
I think there's no problem with venus raj's answer like if u agree
Totally agree. It is a tough question!
yes . it's just the "major major" thing
Yes. Even with the major major its not a problem. Its not wrong grammar, siguro redundant pero not a big deal.
It's said to be Major(major) which is grammatically correct not major major. Filipino's usually repeat words
Repeating a word to emphasize it is not unheard of in English.
Major, major is actually right. The first "major" is an intensifier and the second is an adjective.
These girls are in so much emotions and has so much pressure upon them. We shouldn’t make fun of them if we don’t know what they go through.
*JANINA WILL ALWAYS BE GOLD*
Nothing can beat Janina San Miguel! She's my favorite! 😂
I have to be honest here that I'm gonna be waiting for the part 2..
Thank you
“El nino is what we are facing right now, if we do simple things like planting trees. Then we will not experience draught right? So if we start now, we will achieve La nina”. Out of all answers dito talaga ako natawa 😆
That actually sets.miss earth from the rest. Their questions are technical, and you need to state actual and factual answers rather than opinions.
Salute to this ladies...
Never been easy on a stage in an impromt to question...
The best advice on cyberbullying is "love ur mother"....haha
Maryann Enriquez funny thing is that the comment you stole is right above this 😂
the first one is so beautiful they all are mesmerizing but the first one is really a winner
the guy at the first clip was so nice and gentleman ♥️
I admire those teachers who let their students stand on their seats and answer the questions they want us to answer. And I really hate answering questions by composition, I mean it's also a good method, but public speaking is more applicable in our daily lives. It's just that my verbal skill is not highly developed while my compositional skill is "kinda" developed more than my verbal skills. And it sucks.
This feels like torture watching this but still keeps watching it anyways
Jeannie got the right answer for me. Though not elaborated further. Michelle San Miguel became miss world that time 😁😁😁
"Quiet Please! “ Ano yan, Classroom? Haha 😂
Baka Akala nya library hahaha....
I love the girl in last " best advice to cyber bullying is " to love your mother ". wow
The best advice for cyber bullying is "to love your mother" wtf 😆
Jeanie’s answer has sense. Just that audience are sooo loud she missed to make impact. Gloria Diaz was nodding and was getting what she’s trying to say and waiting for her, sadly she no longer pushed for it.
"I told you, I'm confident, so, wait, ha ha ha"
Hahaha epic!!
These ladies are beautiful and witty still
"Seeing is believing and seeing is perfect 😂😂😂"
Sino yung nagtanong sa first candidate? Wow! Suuuper gentleman!! Yan ang tunay na lalaki!! 💜💜
Well uummm quiet please😂😂
