We Filipinos are good in english when we are writing but when we talk it just does not come out. And to those ladies they just can't think straight probably due to overthinking and panic.

"We Filipinos are good in English when we are writing" actually not all Filipinos are that good, even when they are just writing, there are some who struggles with grammar, and there are some who struggles with spellings. There are Filipinos who are good indeed, but it really depends on how/where/why they learned English tbh, but I think you are aware of that, right?
That should be one of the main focus, because English is an international/universal language, it will help them, though undoubtedly they should also focus on keeping the Filipino language alive and well maintained
My main objective in commenting is, we should point out that there good English speakers and/or writers here, but there are also people who needs a little help, if we just keep on saying that "We're all good, that there is just a little problem here and there, no biggie" then unfortunately nothing will improve

Well, when we express in writing, we may or we can have all the privilege to perfect it, a chance we can be limited of, when we are speaking... especially before a big crowd!
But I understand, samsung's claim, "we Filipinos", I know samsung means most of us and not really all. And I understand samsung is not pointing out on technical writing, grammar rules and all technical stuff. I have read Samsung's comment in a way he/she is just pertaining to "expression". Meaning, we can express and deliver ourselves better in writing than speaking, regardless if we commit grammar lapses or lack the right words to use, still, it is more convenient for most to do it in writing compared to speaking. (I remember...public speaking)

Just an advise.. I think SA MGA future candidates who wants to join.. know your self first. Your capabilities. I think confidence at Yung kakayanan mo na humarap SA tao Yun dapat Ang buong buo. Sometimes kahit Hindi ganun ka smart Ang candidates pero Kung buo Yung confidence naitatawid Ang sagot without embarrassing themselves. He's actually being biased towards her. Nakalimutan ko lang name ng host but hes actually a male top model then and Dindin was a budding print n TV ad model in the industry magkabaro sila. The host was actually being mean to the audience trying to shush everyone. All were actually rooting for her kahit BBPCI. Nevertheless and despite her poor performance she still bagged the BBP-U tile when it could have been the much better Ruffa Guttierez. Katulad rin kay Janina SM na nanalo parin kahit imposible. Ganyan ka garapal lutuong makaw sa BBP. At mas malala ngayun dahil kahit makailang ulit nilang isu-sponsor bumalik sa patimpalak ang mga talunan nilang manok hanggat mahanahan nila ng paraan panalunin mga Ito sa huli. BBP lang ang beaucon na nagiging parang board exam na pwede makailang ulit iretake ng mga contestant kahit kakahiya na lagay.

I think is totally not appropriate to conduct an interview while wearing a swimsuit. It should be on a long gown segment. It can add to the pressure and conscious of a candidate. walking on a swimsuit for just seconds is different than standing while speaking in front of the crowd. It's totally wrong and inappropriate

That's the biggest test of how much confident you are about yourself
