- In this video we take the Traxxas Rally we bought used, cleaned it up, reviewed the current setup and added some upgrades to make it our own.

The Traxxas Rally had an upgraded power system, center drive shaft and the third diff. We also found out it was running a Spektrum receiver, which we currently run in a few of our RC's.

@Robert Longley You could make the best of both worlds. Take the Raptor body and throw it on this. That body is a little bit wider and about the same wheelbase but I think it would look great. Maybe like a pre-runner look👌

@GreentoWhite Dave is a friend of the channel. He does not have a TH-cam channel. Great dude. He was always talking how the Rally never lived up to his expectations and I was looking for a new Rally but they were sold out everywhere. He sold this one to me at a great price and here we are😊

@@90Kenny It's got to be the best seller during this time of year next to the 2WD Slash. This was the same time of year I was looking for one and they came back in stock for a second and was out until Feb-Mar.

@jdpasl You mean let's edit it😂 I've taken this out few times already. Once on 3S, off camera, and twice on 4s, on camera. It's in the queue to be edit. It's a beast on 4S. Next up is some off road driving. Just need to find a good spot.

So recently bought a brand new fiesta ....I'm having issues finding better suspension parts.... I wanna upgrade it to aluminum parts but I can't find any control arms.....also eventually will be going brushless what gear sets are best for the diffs?
@Horst D Borst I 'm not a fan of aluminum arms. More of a parking lot basher, so I need the flex. For gearing I'm still running the stock gearing but I have the center diff installed.

@Paul Clancy I remember that one, it had a lot of goodies in that one. Adjustable links, VXL system and metal center drive shaft. I just couldn't get into the looks back then. I went with the Losi Ten Rally X back then.
@@ReadySetRC you right ,remember the losi 8th scale ralley i think I seen here on your channel,it was a Audi . Yes the body was hideous, I still have it I used a 55 chevy body through out its life 😆
Were you able to get better ground clearance using the hobbypark shocks compared to stock?
@Bay Area RC Never ran\observed the stock shocks. I purchased this used and swapped the shocks out immediately.

What upgrade would I need in order to go brushless as far as diff and that stuff go
@Andrew Texiera I actually bought this RC used and the brushless conversion was already done. What I did was tune the car for my setup. Adding some improved shocks, servo, sway bars install and 17mm hexes. For the most part this car handles brushless conversion well as long as you are not trying to over power it. 3S to 4S with stock gearing I found was more than enough. If you keep it like that, you only need to swap out the center drive shaft add the third diff. Durability wise it should hold up unless you start launching it😊
My buddy has a little oval track in his back yard that we rip on just looking for something smaller I can race his slash with gonna grab that center diff and aluminum shaft rite when I get it before going brushless

@Paul It should, same chassis. You will need to swap out the front bumper, remove the rear bumper and the rear body mount at the very least to make it work.
What servo horn are you running?
@281 Newedge It was a metal servo horn that came with the Amazon servo but had to do some modding with the Dremel to get it to fit.
