I love this analogy. There are actually a ton of ways economics compare to nature (biodiversity, natural selection, balanced forces), and I think those analogies are great tools for learning about either subject. Awesome job, Henry!

Hi, I am form germany and here you dont have one or two big brands. The brewerys (dont know if right spelled) are more local. That means you only can sell your beer in an area with a radius of about 50 to 70 km.
@@xx-cj6ew where you can sell is not regulated but where you can produce can be regulated. For example Kölsch can only be produced in Cologne and maybe surrounding towns. We have here a full market so it can be hard to get your product into other towns.
Man! This is an amazing video~ I've been pondering about small firms in developing nations trying to compete with multinational ones (usually monopolies/oligapolies)...and this video really gave me some insight! Thanks!
The sad thing is that in many restaurants or bar when you ask what they have from microbrewery you'll often get Heineken and Corona as an answer, and it those cases those are your best choice. Though I don't go out as much as I used to so that might have changed.

It depends on whether the big trees are flexible enough in their root and seeding systems to cover the hole in the canopy, whereas the smaller plants are already there, they have their root systems firmly in place, and the extra sunlight can help them grow far quicker.Absense of the dominant beer could cause people to seek out different flavors, and microbreweries already have the brand recognition within certain areas. In other words, they already have roots in places other brewers do not
Wow. I would never have guessed that. Thank you so much for shedding the light on that subtle and nuanced jab, as it was far over my head. Perhaps you'll further enlighten me as to how sarcasm works. You're clearly a master.
Hehe I live in Washington, one of the biggest micobrewery states in the country. It's kinda awesome! We have something called "Mack and Jack" and it tastes amazing. They don't sell to stores, you literally have to go there with a jug and they charge you per liter.

This was neither dumb, not boring, nor made for a grade 3 class. Just because complicated facts aren't being spewed at you does not mean it is not intelligent; I found the analogy, even though it explained something I already understood, an interesting way to think of this topic, and definitely helped me understand it better because of the relation to an everyday phenomena I partake in myself
That's like minute physics's video about 'divesity and poverety', who states that when there's less ressources, no one can get more and everybody gets a chance to survive
I'm pretty sure because the equipment used to measure the velocity of the light is moving at the same speed on the surface of the earth there is no error with the measurement to that respect. There's a frame of reference and because both objects are on the same "train" (
Do big plants really depend on other smaller plants? What do they need them for? I mean, if the other plants disappeared, do you think the big plants would die out?
Funny thing with that idea is that most game devs and studios are aware of this, big publishers like, oh, Square Enix seem not to be quite as well aware of it. Of course, both video games and breweries are having a similar kind of renaissance in recent years with small, interesting, niche products experiencing a growth in market share while their overall markets also continues growing
I love this analogy. There are actually a ton of ways economics compare to nature (biodiversity, natural selection, balanced forces), and I think those analogies are great tools for learning about either subject. Awesome job, Henry!
That's because they are both just very complicated applications of game theory. The rules are the same. The mechanics are different

It is quite funny how you use the "hey" beer as the small brand while in my country Heineken is about the biggest beer brand on the market.
It is not used as a small brand. It is used as a big brand. Watch it again.
Not quite.
It's actually used as a medium sized brewery that gets shafted constantly whilst competing.
