@@vickistilwell3036 I had 4 Cairns over the years, lost the last one a few months ago. I'm 71 and have some health issues. I'm waiting to see if I can get them resolved. If I can, I'll contact Col Potter Cairn Rescue and see who's available. I miss having a terrier in my life!
Welshies think they are Airedale size.... My Welsh is not Alpha, but he does think he is a big dog.... He turned 15 this month ( June 2024) He is doing really well, but his black saddle is all gray..
Belated happy 15th birthday to your Welsh🥳🩷 wish your welsh longer and healthy life. I agree with you. Welshes think they are a big dog 🐕😂 Martin realized how he was small after wrestling with Airedale Lenny 😂
@@jessicajames5303 he was 13 years old. He lived about average life span. I want an Airedale puppy but it’s not good to have one right now because Martin is 11 years old, energetic puppy will be too much for him.
How is Martin so big? 28 pounds is a lot for a Welsh Terrier. Is that a world record? Our welsh Terrier is only 21 pounds and usually their weight isn't too far off from that.
Well, when Martin came to us he was 1 year and 10 months old also he was only 18 lbs. somehow he grew up more and he weighed 28 lbs 😅 probably he wanted to be an Airedale like his big brother. However after fat tumor removal surgery and spleen removal surgery(big tumor on his spleen) he weighs 26 lbs now. He belongs to heavy welshes but I know some welshes who weighs more than Martin 😂 I asked his vet if he needs to lose weight, she said he is fine he has lots of muscle and thick bones. After those two big surgeries he is totally fine. He doesn’t have any health issues. 😊
@@MattIsTheCat I have an IG account and I follow so many welsh terriers. Some welshes are lighter than Martin, and some of them are about the same as Martin and some of them are slightly heavier than Martin 😝 just like humans. There is average size for humans as well. However some are more than average also some are less 😆
@@MattIsTheCat 14 kg(30.8 lbs) was the heaviest welsh I’ve heard. And I saw 28 lbs of some welshes. Keeping close to average is the best but if some welshes were born with thick bones, and gets bigger than standard, nothing we can do 😅 I’m trying to give Martin healthy diet. I make food for him with good ingredients 😊
There's nothing like a Terrier!!!
I had four Airedales in my life and they are great dogs but I had to go smaller with my age .

Oh my goodness! This just warmed my heart so much to see both Lenny and Martin together!!! 😍😍 Boys will be boys lol
Yes this is how to start terriers wrestling 😂 thanks🥰🩷
Awwww martins sweet little face 😊he’s so cute
I grew up with Airedales and now have a 'fun size' Jack Russell. I have to have a fuzzy terrier in my life.

How old are they? I thought one passed. I have an Airedale as well.
This is about 3 years ago. Martin is 11 years old and Lenny my guardian angel is 14 if he was alive.
@@Lenny.Martin 😢 How old was Lenny when he died? I know Airedales live about to 13. Do you ever think of getting another one?
