    Watching board games played with the designer giving great insight is a fascinating watch. I wonder if you guys would try out some TTS exclusive games playable only through the workshop.

    TTS tips:
    If you need to select a large number of locked objects, then you can do so by holding the 'alt' key while dragging a box around them with the mouse
    You can link objects together so that moving one will move the others. I think (but am not 100% sure) that that would fix the black fish not moving with the boards if the boards were unlocked.

      History is just the study of the past, it has nothing in particular to do with humanity (although people usually focus on human history, specifically.) Literally everything that has ever happened is history, including the stuff that happened millions of years before humans existed

      "the aggregate of past events."
      "the record of past events and times, especially in connection with the human race."
      "a past notable for its important, unusual, or interesting events"
      "acts, ideas, or events that will or can shape the course of the future; immediate but significant happenings"
      Weird how none of these definitions require history to first be invented for something in the past to be considered history, almost like that isn't a requirement at all. Also history doesn't need to be written; ever heard of oral history?
      Edit: These are all the definitions from dictionary.com by the way.

      @@gadrill4285 except every single one of those says a system needs to be in place. Aka the technology and specifically people need to exist. Look up pre-history.

    • @LMKlees
      @LMKlees 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      First one person needs to give another entity information. That technology is called language. To get information from one person to the next. To get that information through time you need a recording device that writes in binary, english, what have you that is also technology. The only thing that makes his statement correct is that it is written post 1500s. Other than that its existence is hypothesis or theory. Which is not the event (definition 2) based history your thinking of because its a catch 22. If its a true event that matches the definition then it must have been observed by an observer then that observer must relate that information through time via a technology. If you say an event with no observer happened then did it actually happen? Theories are not history in anything but being a written record. History also doesn't need to be true either. History can be 100% fabricated. So if you are using that point of the definition then yes its history because of a believed event. Which means all religions are right as they have a written history of events. Scientists are very careful when using the term history with hypothetical events. Reporters are not. Which fits definition 1,3, and 4. 2 technologies for history to exist language and writing make history.

    How is protesting a valid reason to break social distancing during a pandemic? If your reasons are noble thou shall not infect others?

      @richardmoore5347 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Didn't you know that setting things on fire kills the virus?

    • @Tiptop9278
      @Tiptop9278 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Protesting is necessary to enact social and political change - the underlying systemic problems don't go away just because there's a virus. Most protestors recognize the risks created by protesting in such conditions and take steps to limit transmission wherever possible. This includes wearing masks, physical distancing (this is a challenge), bringing and using hand sanitiser and not participating if they show symptoms. Protestors are very conscious of the virus, so by taking action they spread it far less than the people crowding beaches, pools, shopping malls and who aren't taking the same preventative measures.
      Note: I only speak for the protestors in my country - protestors in other places may behave differently. However, from what I've seen on social media, cautious attitudes among protestors is pretty intercontinental.

    • @jalfd1
      @jalfd1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Because it's for a cause that aims to save lives, even after the pandemic is over. Because trying to make the world better is in fact a good thing. And because protesters generally take measures to limit transmission, which idiots who refuse to wear masks or insist on going to crowded bars or similar do not do.
      If you were looking for the "this deadly disease finally allows us to pretend that ignoring the ongoing murder of black people is a good thing" gang, they're over *there*.
