Actually as a branch line, Nilambur line is running in huge loss. Railway is considering this line as uneconomic branch line. Collection is very less in this route. Loss can be reduced to some extent after electrification. Nilambur route can't exist alone without electrification though all other routes are getting electrified. If electrification do not happen, Railway will permanently shut down the route in the name of low income. I am also feeling sad for electrification but it is unavoidable. But not feel sad. As of now I heard that only few trees will be cut for electrification.

Bro actually 2 stations inbetween has 2 platform Angadipuram and Vaniyambalam.. these two are crossing stations.... and also Nilambur has lot more to explore not only this rail route.. Worlds one and only Teak Museum, Sky walk, Rain forest, waterfalls.. historical Banglav.. lot more.. love and like from a Nilamburian 👍🏻
