Maybe someone else mentioned this but you can take a large eraser and run it over the sandpaper. If you don’t wait until the sandpaper is completed gunked up, it’ll last quite a while. Just a tip.
I was using this one a 3D print, and I've used it since to remove the print lines. I like it. It will eat through sandpaper, so get some adhesive-backed paper to replace it with. But I think something corded like this is the way to go. The battery-powered ones don't seem as strong. I haven't used the Proxxon though.
Looking at the Proxxon, it is cheaper, but then you have to buy the transformer station if you don't have it already. I would imagine they are comparable in performance.
would this benefited by having a thin foam backed sanding paper? I find this feature on sanding sticks most helpful, by comparison, like using a file vs sanding stick, They feather and blend out the area.
Yes I would agree. I think if you could find some sticky-backed foam sanding pads, those would work great. Maybe cut out some command strips to attach. I think I might try that myself.
Foam backed anything can sometimes leave high spots due to the give associated with foam. If you desire perfectly flat with minimal deviation you want minimal flex. Direct taping.
haha did you actually say dont let your wife near it? woa! haha Just bought similar tool here in Japan called Artima 7 by Argofile (Made in Taiwan) I actually bought it to help me prep sneakers for paint but would LOVE to get bag in to modeling.
@@rebelscale anyway, this is a good tool, much neater and safer than Proxxon PS13, since it does not damage the finger joints due to strong vibration during prolonged use. Can recommend you another useful tool Plamokojo Vortex Stirrer Turbo for paint shaking.
@@CrowemagModelWorks I didn't say they were. Some of they're stuff is overpriced though compared to others. I recently bought a foam cutter that has more features than there's at a much lower price.
Too expensive? REALLY? Did you want it made from paper? Would you rather it fails on day two? Do you want those frail bendable bits with it? How about a 2pc. assortment included? Perhaps a 3 foot cord is enough...to save money. You might reconsider unless you only purchase landfill items. Just my 2 cents...no inexpensive stuff will go the long haul or have the bits made from hardened steel in a nice assortment. How about all gears made from steel vs plastic? Maybe a rubberized tool shell vs plasticized crap that only slips in your hands. Those looking for cheep tools today are in for a rude awakening lol. BTW Amazon sucks ace! Pricing reflects millions of returns from all those looking for a deal.
@@joesshop3622 *Did you want it made from paper?* Grow up, the thing probably cost $5 to make in China, spare the greed apologist nonsense, and when you see this reduced in price or disappear, you'll know I'm right. This looks quite useful, and it is the first time I have heard of this tool. Thank you!
Thank you. It is a very helpful tool for resin sanding.

Yep[, I have an eraser just for that purpose. It doesn't work forever, but it keeps it workable for much longer than usual.
Thank you for video,Do you recommend this device or vibrating sanders like Proxxon 28594?for 3d printing

Original Argofile Artima 5 is cheaper, this one is just renamed for resell.
It does appear to be the same, but I looked it up and I paid the same price. Glad there's at least others out there.

@@s_d_ex Ooh, I like that that one has a holder on it. I have a high end vortex shaker, but it doesn't have a holder. Very cool.
The bit assortment is repetitive almost...no radius bits though wtf lol. I'd order one otherwise...
Yeah, I've modified one of the bits already to a gentle curve
That was really $99?
With shipping, yes, but totally worth it for me.
Garage kit!😳
Proxxon is overated!🙄

I've think I have the big Proxxon vice, but other than that, I don't have their stuff. And yes, a 3D printed kit.

You get what you pay for. It's definitely worth it.
@@rebelscale "worth it" is always subjective, there's similar products that work well for less than half the price and easier to buy on Amazon.
