    do you ever feel like the chatter bait / thunder cricket is too aggressive for certain ponds? like action and the loud vibrating sound it creates. i want to throw it more often but sometimes i feel like its scaring the fish rather than turning them on

    I relate hard to this video. I pond fish in North Texas and it’s been a real struggle since mid-August. This is my first year fishing so didn’t know if it was me or what. I caught big bass in the spring but now I have to fish for 4 hours to catch a couple small guys on a ned rig or plastic worm.

      I started fishing a few ponds north of Dallas June 1st. Had a ton of success until about 2 weeks ago I can't even catch one. Will it will be tough until October?

  • @knightfishing
    @knightfishing 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    All those ponds are SUPER pressured, #17 flukes and swim jigs rule there.. #18 is probably the most pressured pond in Mckinney. But, it has double digits 👍

    • @brianrich9218
      @brianrich9218 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where is #17 pond? I've been trying to find it in Mckinney using google maps but don't seem to find a match. I live in the area and wanted to check it out.

    You really like your soft plastics you might try more moving reaction baits to cover more water but it does seem to work for you so if I ain’t broke don’t fix it I guess

    It never hurts to ask for permission to fish a private pond… the worst they can say is “no”. They are less pressured and typically hold much larger bass. Never discredit ponds for large bass; it’s where most of us learned how to fish and we always find ourselves returning to them. Love the series so far. keep it up!!

    I know I cant talk because I am a 14 year old who just catches 14 inchers. And Tyler is a pro. But those big ponds are the ones that will make you better it's the little ones are just to easy (sometimes).

  • @scunier385
    @scunier385 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t know if you will see this since this video is old but what’s the best way to get a hook out of a fish like you had the second fish hooked on pond 17? Since the hook was deeper and you couldn’t really get to it.

    Like these videos. Grateful that you showed a fail and also the struggles. Lately, been tossing top water frog and small poppers. One big blowup is all the rest it’s like the fish are just spitting at the lure and not actually grabbing it. Been a tough September up here in the northeast.
