Just to make it through the first round, having removed the penny and kept both £250,000 must have been a huge statistical advantage here anyway regardless haha
@@lisatownsend4060 I don't blame you for taking the 50k, I would have done the same ... 50k or 250k, both would change my life for the better, so it wouldn't be worth the risk of missing out. It was a brilliant episode though, and worthy of being the 1.000th show.
35:47 What should have been a landmark celebration in Deal history turns into missed opportunity and squandered potential as the 1000th game ends in a Victory for The Banker, up £200,000 as the player blows their chance at the top prize.
With it being the 1000th show, I sort of knew that the 1p would be in box 1 and the normal not the gold £250,000 would be in box 22 so it was a good thing Lisa left box 22 till the end. :)
Knowing the classic Banker, he would offer no money but would have given an extra prize for the gold "quarter of a million," perhaps the £1,000 it had replaced. So if she had won 'just' the regular one, the Banker would still have 'won'.

I vaguely remember 1,000th show and I was happy for her, but equally disappointed when she dealt. It felt so right to go for it.
Not as disappointed as I was ha ha . That’s me ! It was just so hard to turn down £50k ❤

@@lisatownsend4060 that's you? I didn't realize that........
It's a lot different when you're there
I know it's hard to visualise but you think if the banker had offered less than £50,000 you might have gone for it? I'm intruged
Very fitting that the box 1, 5, 10, and 20 had the corresponding amounts inside of them 😂 also the golden 250k was in the unlucky 13 box.

I wonder what the offer would have been if the last 2 boxes were both £250k?

For starters, they wouldn't have shown it if that had happened. Would they
