Mathew, TYVM....I don't like speed runs ya know. I want to relax watching videos and enjoy them...apparently my tired brain can't keep up with his lips, you're awesome, thanks again! 💜❤💜
A fun addition: grey armor and weapons are now becoming transmogable! I am super excited for this mainly because I love simple mogs and the starter gear for characters who start on Exiles reach is high-quality simple stuff. Edit: it’s both gray and white items. It was confirmed by Ian Hazzikostas in an interview.
Couple other pts on things you touched on. 1)Don't have to be in rested area to change talents. 2) In the bags, stack sizes increasing to 1000. Great video as usual though Kelani!
ONe thing about the professions you did not mention: You will be able to equip required profession tools in the profession interface and they will no longer waste a space in your bag. For jewelcrafrers, for example, that means the jewlery box that is required to craft everything. You put it in it's slot in the professions interface and for get it. It will always be there and not in your bags.
Just a tip for Alliance players heading to the Dragon Isles, the ship heading to the Isles will come into the harbor and dock on the left. If it's the ship to Boralus, it'll come ftom the right. I hope this helps some.
This is great! My girlfriend has problems with her vision and depth perception, so she was dreading having to do dragon riding for herself and not be able to ride with me, she was afraid this would prevent her from playing the expansion. I'm so glad they added the option to ride along with someone
Sounds like SL was a rude awakening to Blizz and they're finally actually going to try improving the game. Let's see how it all pieces together after launch..
My big takeaway from this video is that Blizzard is paying close attention to the individual player experience, not just the big-picture changes. The talent search, settings search, talent import/export, base talent trees, and bag change all speak to an awareness not just of the game, but an awareness of player needs. These changes make me more excited than a new race/class, the talent trees, dragon riding, etc... Those were enough to make me consider trying the expansion out, but the changes in this video would make me consider switching back to retail from classic once Wrath runs its course.
talents will still be the same as they were, just copy your bis talents from an article and you're done, just because it's more customizable it doesn't mean they will be viable in competitive content
Really, really happy about the non-faction-restricted mob tagging. Especially in open world (when war mode isn't activated, no one is trying to go up against each other), the comradery with other players, in general, feels really nice.
@@matthiascarlos814 In the end it's only a small group that wants world pvp. They have tried in a lot of different ways to make people do world pvp, but pretty much nobody likes it. I think the opting into it was a good change, with this being a nice addition
@@CharterForGaming It's sad though because half of my best WoW memories are from unexpected world PvP encounters, and that side of the game has been practically removed because most people prefer completely turning their brain off while outside group content. This game will have autopathing quests like in mobile games if it lives for two more expansions.
@@sisterimmaculata1680 Woke culture taking out all the stuff that conditions people to persevere and work hard, teaching ya that there aren't any obstacles out there. What a game it's become.
The reagent bag is a move in the right direction, but I would like them to go GW2 direction in which the ingredients and whatnot have a unique space in the ingredient bank and each one is listed there.
I'm lowkey super excited about that World Quest change. While they were a valuable addition at first in Legion that made the world feel more relevant, they ended up being this constant mass of never-ending potential stuff to do that just made me dread look at my minimap everytime I'd log in to BfA or SL, to the point that I had to opt for ignoring them altogether to not feel overwhelmed or inadequate. A system favouring quality over quantity would absolutely help reduce this feeling of endless ARPG-like grind that is so detrimental to an MMO imho.
For this season I mostly ignored them when I had better gear and just did them with ALL my xx alts whenever there was up e.g. Bastion 100% Bastion Elite Quest Collect 3 Coins Then you had 100k to 200k Gold collected in some hours, which wasnt possible if you do them the normal way. Sure, you wont get rich that way, but you collect some millions over time.
I'm exactly opposite. I'd much prefer the short world quests from Legion/BFA that I could knock out a few in five minutes rather than spending five minutes doing one for the hundredth time.
@@phantomblade3740 Regarding the gearing, not if it's balanced to that different rhythm (ie better rewards) ? On content, I stand by my position that quality > quantity (especially when there already is repeatable content) although I suppose it is a subjective matter. I would expect most players to err on my side though, and I especially think that fast, mindless type of tasks with no sense of earned progression have been one of the main reason's for WoW's perceived downfall
@@willythemailboy2 If there's enough world quests and they rotate bi-weekly, that means it might take a few weeks for an individual WQ to show up again, so even over a 2-year span you would not necessarily see them that much (rather optimistic I grant you, but 2-year expansions create fatigue either way). I would also wager that fewer WQ that reset much slower (even if they are slightly longer individually) would result in lesser overall completion time wihile increasing involvement with the task ? Both evolutions I would consider positive for most players given the current state of gameplay.
LOVE the fact that they added a new reagent only bag slot. Suddenly the older profession mats only oriented bags made by tailors/LWs aren't considered obsolete anymore!!! 😁 Unless of course the older types of those bags won't be equippable there, in which case only the newer Dragonflight expansion profession bags are usable. Time will tell when the exp officially launches in Nov I suppose. 🤔
The World Quest change is so nice for people who want to play alts, but also be efficient and do all the stuff. Now I can literally do them whenever within a 3 day span. Works out nicely that its 3 days too, since I play 3 classes (priest, monk, war). Do the main one day, alt 1 another, alt 2 another, rinse, repeat. SO MUCH BETTER (especially at the beginning of an xpac) than trying to do 3 characters worth of dailies, while still trying to juggle M+ and raid. That flexibility is so huge. Got the boys on to raid? Fuck world quests! Let's raid. I can do 'em tomorrow! M+ night? Wanna get sweaty? Fuck them world quests, lets go! That's huge for us 9 to 5ers who can't play as much as we used to back in the glory days. Is what it is :) Not sure how I feel about the need/greed system coming back, but as someone with terrible RNG on teh personal loot side (where'd i could do entire raid clears and get nothing, always fun); this could mean more chances at loot via rolling? Maybe? Again, my RNG is shit so its prob a wash but w/e. Hopefully this means ML comes back for premade groups too. I like the UI changes too. I don't like using UI addons because they're just a pain in the ass to work with on multiple characters/specs. So I've always just rocked basic bitch UI (and its worked just fine). So any tweaks and improvements to the base UI is welcome. And all the support they've added for disabled players is great too (indirectly the controller support, hold keybind to repeat thing is good for people with Carpel T and/or Arthritis, etc) Shaping up to be a great expansion. I hope this is WoW retails resurgence! LFG!
@@ludgerkresnik3972 I hope they continue bridging the gap between factions even more! It's so outdated, let me join random dungeons, raid finder and BG's with friends on the other side too, for BG's just have it so everyone mercs to the leader's faction.
The bow for the final boss is kind of disappointing considering they just had the legendary bow off Silvanas. A pole arm with strength and agility would have been great and hit so many more classes. Lots of the other changes are great, no tagging is going to make for a much better world content experience.
Yeah poor decision really makes no sense. Only improves and gives an advantage to 2 specs out of over 30 available, and those 2 specs just had a Legendary bow so recently? Surely this could have been a 2 hander this time around or a 1 hander for tanks & certain dps. But another bow.. Really?
See a lot of potential with the talent tree system being able to import/export builds. They could do a special timed dungeon runs where you have to use a specific build sort of like how Diablo 3 has. They could use Torghast or the Mage tower to easily do this I think. Could be a cool little end game feature.
This does sound fun, but only if they don't do it exactly the way D3 does it where they intentionally pick a bad build or that different regions have different challenges for whatever reason.
After all these years of playing i still can't wrap my head around how people think one massive bag is more easier to use than individually assigned smaller ones, it's utterly insane.
This is such a cool, informative video, and all those changes look really good and I am so happy to see that there is some considerable thought behind many things. Thank you for summarizing it so nicely for us! Great content!
i agree ,still not preordered but i will if more and more good feedback from wow streamers.tried other mmos like FF14 but hated them cause japanese graphics ,ui,musics are not for me. i love wow ui,races, combat, toonished graphics, music except from shadowland even lvling quests are horrible there. first time i didnt want to lvl up all my alts for fun.
didnt want to stop anyone from watching the whole thing, but I made this summary for my guild... 1. Mob tagging isn't faction specific 2. @@saksija2342 I've seen stuff that certainly go above and beyond the pg limit, but sure, it's the pg limit, nevermind all the PR bullshit Blizzard has been peddling our way ever since a certain scandal -- always trying to remind us how safe their space is and inclusive. I don't have an agenda, but you must be thinking that I do, all I have is a functional brain and critical thinking... wish I could say the same for the majority of this community.
I think if they're gonna use starter talents, that should be the "baseline" that they balance around assuming people have, rather than have to wonder about people doing whatever combination for the content.
I think Mob tagged locked by the other faction was a strong motivator for players to switch to a server where their faction was the dominate population. This change to Mob tagging will be one less reason to switch servers.
@@dirktesla7827 thats true tbh. i was just thinking of the days of trying to catch a mob as the other faction before the could. and sometimes it starting a small faction pvp battle. put the warcraft in world of warcraft which i feel is kinda lacking these days
A few questions about loot: 1) How does it determine your main spec? Is this an option you select (like the menu option that came in MoP where you pick a spec) or will it be determined by your current spec? If the latter my concern is that often the guild leader might want me to switch to a different spec either for a certain fight, or for an entire run because someone else couldn't make it. However in those situations I would ALWAYS roll for whatever my main spec is. I would hate for raiders to be punished for being flexible and doing whatever your group needs. 2) If you can't roll on an item that you already have what about specs like Fury, Enhance, or Rogues who might often want to duel wield two of the same weapon? What about if no one else wants a particular item for MS picking it up for an off spec? In the past it could be worthwhile to have two of the same item and they would be gemmed differently for each spec. If you switch specs as the run needs it is nice to be optimized for each one.
It probably determines main spec the same way the game currently handles loot spec; it'll be based on the option you have selected. You can check by right-clicking on your character's bar.
As he said, you can freely trade any gear that drops, the group loot system makes it abit of a headache but in general if raid leads want someone gearing for an offspec then the loot will still end up passed along to then There's nothing in what he says that punishes dedicated raid groups, might be punishing af for pugs but not a raid group Can't roll need on offspec or gear you don't need literally only affects pugs, since you can trade freely and raid leaders will absolutely boot a player for taking loot that is needed for another player more, such as the ret that keeps the 2h when it'd be better to throw it at the fury warr
You will be able to roll need multiple times on the same item that your loot spec considers 1h. So fury warriors can roll and win 2 2 handers, and 1 hand weapons will be unrestricted! That's how it should work :)
May just be me, but have never liked having to separate single/AoE skills to the point you have to swap skills to be effective. Nothing but a hassle. At least they added the option to do so fairly easily.
Top reason I cannot effectively play a holy paladin is the fact that targeting becomes an issue. Honestly not sure how everyone does it. This action target feature might be great.
Healers use mouseover macros for their abilities, so they can heal whoever they point a cursor at without need to actualy click it and need to swap targets all the time.
Well I haven't had a look at the new Hunter talent tree, but I really hope they bring SPIRIT BOND back. It was fantastically nice to be able to have a heel that constantly worked
I am personally BDO player, but I can >honestly< say that it`s gonna be good to be WoW player in this DragonFlight Expansion. I mean WoW is catchy, smooth, entrancing game (if you have the time to fully and properly emerge) but it seems that, at least to me, with those large passive trees it`s gonna get even better. Remember the last time you've played Non Isometric RPG ~MMO~ish sized that had decent Passive Skill tree... me neither. I recently saw this Last Epoch introduction/commercial video and it had like 3 passive trees for 3 classes on 1 character + a >separate< skill passive tree for 5 usable skills. Meaning you Once customize your character math flat off it`s passive passives, than you completely to your wishes spec all 5 of your skills... and than on top of that Itemize for even more >you< and >personalized< character for it`s class template... Sounds cool. I mean we here in BDO have like ~3 major stats- Attack Power... Defense Power... and Accuracy. Of course characters have health, stamina, resource but still... And skill templates are 1:1:1:1 for everyone choosing that class with like ~ 8 "slots" for 8 out of the (that much is true) skill per character type to be additionally slightly buffed with few more ~stats of choice (which mostly happen with timed buff pops per skill usage and they are standard stuffs... crit, crit dmg, att speed, more accuracy, more defenses, life on hit, dots... etc. Also there 3x pairs of skills which you can chose 1 or the other as an add on to all the other skills. Once you play your character it can become more "yours" but the >top end< is >the top end< and it comes from the equip you put on it. I always liked Passive skill trees... Like when LoL had em, along side rune pages... Now it`s ~ masteries. (more streamlined). It always >always< mathematically comes down to >1 optimal way< per class in regardless of how many variations are possible, but at least I like for it to look like it`s not actually like that. Let`s see what AOC does with all of that :P. Cheers WoW players. >I am Looking at you Naguura< ... Like literally your stream is my Window into the Word of WoW :P. But maybe I will peek on Asmongold and or Bajera when it comes to it.
As long as the camera is controlled by the mouse I’ll still be using it even with a interact key. I don’t see how people navigate with a stationary camera perspective. 🧐
It shouldn't exist at all. I'm all for the gamification of in-game events, but the corpse run/res sickness was never FUN. It adds nothing to the experience. It's nothing but naked, hostile time gating.
And just an FYI about the "reagent bag". In Beta, you don't seem to be able to use the old reagent bags, only new ones being added in Dragonflight. If you were hoping to pop that old "Mining Bag" in there, it won't work.
Because those are profession bags. I mean, there is no point in using those older bags since all reagents will be able to go into the reagent bag, not just specific to your profession.
@Chris Kay Yeah, I get that, but the reagent bags and the old profession bags are basically the same thing. Also, from what I've seen, they are the same size. For some unexplained reason they just don't want you to use those, which would make sense, but they don't want it to make sense. I feel like they are just using the new bags as a resource sink rather than giving people to use stuff we already have. Edit: Also, you're more likely to only be carrying around stuff for your own professions, which is what the bags are designed for anyway. Sure, a "Mining bag" is only for mining stuff, but if you're a miner, isn't that what you'll have more of anyway? Second edit: They are also increasing stack sizes to 1000, so you'll be able to carry a LOT more and I don't suspect too many people will be carrying more than 1K of something that doesn't even pertain to a profession they currently have.
@@moonlghtknght Not quite. The profefssion bags are limited to one professtion. Reagent bags can take stuff from all professions at the same time. So if you have both gathering professions, you only need one reagent bag instead of a herbalism bag and a mining bag,.
@@chriskay1449 You know, you keep replying to me like I don't already know all of these things. So thanks for basically implying I'm stupid and uninformed. Second of all, I get it, Regeant bags cover EVERYTHING. Got it. That doesn't mean the old profession bags aren't still useful in some way, or that someone may prefer to use one of those instead of some "catch-all" bag for all profession materials. Personally, I'd be ok with just having an herbalism bag if I'm also an alchemist, or a mining bag if I'm also a JC. I get some people may *want* a "catch-all" but I find the old bags just as, if not more, useful, because then I wouldn't have cloth, herbs, and meat in my bags when I just need ore and other items associated with JC, for example. I've said my piece. I think they are overlooking the usefulness of the old bags and locking them completely out of this new slot (basically forcing you to use a regular bag slot still) is a huge mistake.
I am so excited for DF to come, it looks amazing, but I haven’t really complained about any expansion, even tho we were starved of content in SL. I am sceptical about the raid loots

I believe it's a skin that'll be available eventually (probably from killing the main bad guy). On the beta these skins and other skin colors for dragons (like the red gladiator skin and the black scales for the wyvern dragon that walks in front of the elemental one) seem to be randomly applied to your dragon when you log in (and you can't change it) and disappear randomly again. I had the red gladiator skin for about a week, before it disappeared. Now I got that elemental one for the protodrake, but last i checked the flying animation for that skin is super broken

Its pretty good. You just assign a button to tab or you can look at something and use your r3 or l3 to click it. Its great 90% of the time but stuff like catching the pig in that pirate dungeon or some of the wqs are tricky
The "Interact with Target" Keybind has been in the game for years, they didn't add it to Dragonflight, they just moved it. The "Reagent Bag Slot" appears to have been removed. It might come back later, but for now, it is gone.
Oh my gawd holding down abilitys to repeatedly cast them??? Why am I crying? Why does my Hand feel like a massive cramp has just softened up? Is this what Nirvana feels like? Can I give the people suggesting and implementing this a hug?
how does the loot system determine main spec? the spec your currently in the role off? which one you have set in your char context menu? how does this affect players that are playing their off-spec for some reason.
Some of the older dungeon/raid achievements require a max level to not only remove their gear but also to go in with rez sickness. I wonder how much more difficult those achievements will be in Dragonflight.
I imagine it'll be fairly easy considering you could go in on a lower level character to complete them. It isn't like you HAVE to be max level to do some of them, it just made it easier.
@@asasasasasasasas2140 i tend to level all my characters, i have about 25 of them so i think it would be fairly frustrating having to make new characters regularly for some of these.
You know what I was bored by all those videos and news talking about the same things in DF lately, but I actually liked your video. It is a simple idea to juste talk about the little things but somehow I find that more easy to imagine what it is will be like to play "for real" at the launch thanks to this video.
now you will have an even longer rep grind with fewer world quests available, unless they decided to massively increase rep gains per WQ to compensate but this is blizzard, so I doubt it.
sounds like my old strats from cata are going to be back in play. Don't think I'm ever going to do a pub without a couple of friends to roll need for me xD
"The new dragonflight expansion will introduce some NEW SWEEPING changes" Such as... your shadowlands talents, broken down into smaller talents on a tree that will make you either pick all the talents to basically play your Shadowlands character, or make bad picks for the sake of playing your way but playing worse then everyone else. Or how about the professions system that will make it practically impossible to craft the highest tier of gear when it matters the most due to lack of high level material and lack of BoP material from work orders! Or how about another way of flying? y'know, that thing everyone will use because you don't get regular flying so you would be forced to use the flying that is more tedious but is fun for a couple of weeks, just so we could say LOOK! EVERYONE IS USING DRAGONFLYING! IT IS A SUCCESSFUL SYSTEM! or some such (which btw I think it probably would be a successful system, but why it's one or the other right now, no one knows)
"...better for controller users..." "...and again, better for controllers..." Microsoft acquiring Blizz, more and more controller friendly, I'm even more sure now that we'll see WoW on the gamepass at some point (and maybe on Xbox?)
Less daily quests might seem like a good thing - less to deal with daily, but in the end it only means less options and less ease to farm up those rewards. It makes missing them more of a penalty.
I rather liked titanforging, and I know I am one of the few, but it made the raids feels like they had a little life in them past 'perfect' gearing that was usually done in M+ mostly anyway. Like, it had replayability, especially if you needed a specific weapon or trinket and then BAM, it titanforges to be even better. That felt real nice.
Hunters get a new pet family to tame in the expansion. Lesser Dragonkin. I've been wanting this since my first encounter with a sprite darter in Feralas back in vanilla!!!
I love how they've reworked the talent system. I'm not in the beta so I haven't been able to experience them yet but they look amazing! Since playing Classic, I've found the retail talent system to be extremely lacking as it is just a choice of three in each tier. While this new version is different from Classic, it does look like it will give players a lot more freedom to create interesting, unique builds. At least, there are a lot more options in Dragonflight. That's exactly what I've been missing in retail, compared with Classic and I can't wait to try it out.

I got this nightmare scenario about loot that in LFR and pugs you'll have one or 2 people who insist that you'll either greed on everything or more likely roll pass so they can greed on everything and will call for a raid kick if you roll need on anything, however they themselves make sure you cannot vote kick on them. One of the main benefits of personal loot was that others had 0 control over what loot you could get and thus greedy trolls (of the internet kind not the Darkspear or Zandalari kind) could not hoover up all the loot to pad out their (virtual) coin purse.

15) UI option to combine all bags into single combined backpack UI
16) New bag slot (specifically for reagents). 32/34 slots available
17) Track more currencies on your bag UI (up to 8 now)
18) Item levels in raids have a more nuanced approach to staggering ilvls
- First few bosses: ilvl 389
- eg, next two: ilvl 395
- last few bosses: ilvl 398
- Then heroic starts at 402
19) Certain bosses have special item drops that are higher than their normal drops. EX: normally drops 389 but the special item dropped is 395. Not every boss has a special item, but most do. Special items always guaranteed to drop at that higher level.
20) Group loot for raids now. Need/greed/pass. However, all loot trading restrictions lifted for players part of the kill. -- -Rolling restrictions:
*cloth can't roll for plate. plate can't roll for leather.. etc etc.
* When a shield drops: ret pally can roll need, but automatically loses if a protection pally rolls need too. Ret pallies need outweighs everyone elses greed
* can't roll for item you already have
*BoE gear: regular trash will never drop BoE. Named minibosses will drop BoE's instead and can only be killed once a week per difficulty. The larger group, the higher chance of BoEs dropping or even higher ilvls

Imagine you running around, beating epic monsters with a simple wooden mallet xd
This is probably one of the few things that I do like about this expansion. I definitely agree with you on the Exiles gear being pretty cool.
I'm the same way. The more down to Earth armor is my favorite stuff in the game
I've been saving greys for months now, so many character banks full of greys
white armor too?
Couple other pts on things you touched on. 1)Don't have to be in rested area to change talents. 2) In the bags, stack sizes increasing to 1000. Great video as usual though Kelani!
Excellent additions that I didn't know about! Thank you! :D

Lol quite helpful thanks. I can see many people mixing this up. A lot. For awhile.
This is great! My girlfriend has problems with her vision and depth perception, so she was dreading having to do dragon riding for herself and not be able to ride with me, she was afraid this would prevent her from playing the expansion. I'm so glad they added the option to ride along with someone

Me too I’m excited
Really, really happy about the non-faction-restricted mob tagging. Especially in open world (when war mode isn't activated, no one is trying to go up against each other), the comradery with other players, in general, feels really nice.
So true! I have been wanting this for so long, especially those times that affects all of us, why leave anyone out as we all benefit : )
The whole game was once predicated on pvp. The other faction was your blood sworn enemy. My gosh they've watered you down so much WoW.
Bastion 100%
Bastion Elite Quest
Collect 3 Coins
Then you had 100k to 200k Gold collected in some hours, which wasnt possible if you do them the normal way. Sure, you wont get rich that way, but you collect some millions over time.
I'm exactly opposite. I'd much prefer the short world quests from Legion/BFA that I could knock out a few in five minutes rather than spending five minutes doing one for the hundredth time.
As a world content player I hate this change. It removes a bulk of my max level content and gearing from the game.
They should've made a 50 Slot Reagent bag TBH... Especially for Gather only characters, 3 tiers of each herb/ore will fill 34 slots in no time.
RIP 10 min. res sickness, you kept me good company when I died 20 times every day in vanilla
Lol you will not miss it.
LOVE the fact that they added a new reagent only bag slot. Suddenly the older profession mats only oriented bags made by tailors/LWs aren't considered obsolete anymore!!! 😁
Unless of course the older types of those bags won't be equippable there, in which case only the newer Dragonflight expansion profession bags are usable.
Is what it is :)
Not sure how I feel about the need/greed system coming back, but as someone with terrible RNG on teh personal loot side (where'd i could do entire raid clears and get nothing, always fun); this could mean more chances at loot via rolling?
And all the support they've added for disabled players is great too (indirectly the controller support, hold keybind to repeat thing is good for people with Carpel T and/or Arthritis, etc)
Shaping up to be a great expansion. I hope this is WoW retails resurgence! LFG!
I love the change that you can share mobs between factions now! 😀

not really a system, it's a bug. the oldest bug in the game i think lol
@J Ygb LOL, no. Not in 15 years. I'm sorry. Did I trigger your OCD?
The bow for the final boss is kind of disappointing considering they just had the legendary bow off Silvanas. A pole arm with strength and agility would have been great and hit so many more classes. Lots of the other changes are great, no tagging is going to make for a much better world content experience.
Yeah poor decision really makes no sense. Only improves and gives an advantage to 2 specs out of over 30 available, and those 2 specs just had a Legendary bow so recently? Surely this could have been a 2 hander this time around or a 1 hander for tanks & certain dps. But another bow.. Really?
Agreed, stop making just 1 class specific weapon for end of raid bosses. Either do it for every class or don't do it all
See a lot of potential with the talent tree system being able to import/export builds.
I hate multiple bags.....1 is the only way for me

17. "one bag" setting now available default UI
18. Smoother transition in iLvls from begining and end of raid
19. Group loot only in raids, need/greed/de/pass. No loot trading restrictions anymore, instead rolling restrictions.

I tried a one-bag setup and got rid of it in less than an hour. I prefer the individual bags.
thanks, plenty of nice info. Sadly the thumbnail mislead me as i though they adding some more options to customize your character look.
As he said, you can freely trade any gear that drops, the group loot system makes it abit of a headache but in general if raid leads want someone gearing for an offspec then the loot will still end up passed along to then
There's nothing in what he says that punishes dedicated raid groups, might be punishing af for pugs but not a raid group
Can't roll need on offspec or gear you don't need literally only affects pugs, since you can trade freely and raid leaders will absolutely boot a player for taking loot that is needed for another player more, such as the ret that keeps the 2h when it'd be better to throw it at the fury warr
Group loot with the new restrictions is an objectively better personal loot

I had given up on retail but your video was informative and is getting me to come back. Thank you for making the video.

1 minute resurrection sickness!! Awesome
Actually a couple things I hadn't heard of. Thanks!

You can add elemental animation to your dragon? The dragon on the left at 1115 is sick.
Now I got that elemental one for the protodrake, but last i checked the flying animation for that skin is super broken

how does the loot system determine main spec? the spec your currently in the role off? which one you have set in your char context menu? how does this affect players that are playing their off-spec for some reason.
Some of the older dungeon/raid achievements require a max level to not only remove their gear but also to go in with rez sickness. I wonder how much more difficult those achievements will be in Dragonflight.

Nice changes :) Makroslots should have been increased aswell...
"The new dragonflight expansion will introduce some NEW SWEEPING changes"
Such as... your shadowlands talents, broken down into smaller talents on a tree that will make you either pick all the talents to basically play your Shadowlands character, or make bad picks for the sake of playing your way but playing worse then everyone else.
IT IS A SUCCESSFUL SYSTEM! or some such (which btw I think it probably would be a successful system, but why it's one or the other right now, no one knows)
who wins roll between "greed" and "disenchant" ?
Greed
@@krosserq3737 ah so better to "greed" and then disenchant it later XD
10/10 video a lot of this was brand new to me
These changes are all good. Every one of them.
Good stuff. Thank you for explaining the little things.
6:00 meanwhile in wrath theres just an npc that will teleport you instead of taking the boat with the option of taking the boat still there
Tbh this could actually save Wow we may actually have a good and fun expac since wrath and a bit of cataclysm.
This screams of console port when the Activision/MS deal goes through. WoW to Game Pass confirmed.
"...better for controller users..."
"...and again, better for controllers..."
Microsoft acquiring Blizz, more and more controller friendly, I'm even more sure now that we'll see WoW on the gamepass at some point (and maybe on Xbox?)
Less daily quests might seem like a good thing - less to deal with daily, but in the end it only means less options and less ease to farm up those rewards. It makes missing them more of a penalty.
@J Ygb Unless the rewards are higher % per quest, Yes.
Even a month later this is still got useful info. Good stuff!
I firmly believe that someone who played Zu-Online has a big role in the development of this game.
I like the ilevel variance and progression as an alternative to the less-popular completely RNG titanforging.
They already blue posted saying they're turning the wqs back to mostly dailies
5:00 is there a new looting ui? that looks so clean
yep! a lot of the smaller windows got a sleek new look
Great vid so much i actually didnt know and really looking foward to!
Hunters get a new pet family to tame in the expansion. Lesser Dragonkin. I've been wanting this since my first encounter with a sprite darter in Feralas back in vanilla!!!
Dude, YES! I can't wait to get some Sprite Darter buddies! :D
Finally blizz seem to be getting their act together.
Yes well never trust a corporation.
I have a question I could not find an answer for: does the proffession overhaul start at skill level 1 or does it only apply to high level crafting?
Skill level 1 since professions all start at 1 for each expansion
@@silo_olis OK, so let me rephrase my question. Is the overhaul for WHOLE crafting or just for Dragonflight crafting?
@@trance917 Just dragonflight crafting
I love how they've reworked the talent system. I'm not in the beta so I haven't been able to experience them yet but they look amazing! Since playing Classic, I've found the retail talent system to be extremely lacking as it is just a choice of three in each tier. While this new version is different from Classic, it does look like it will give players a lot more freedom to create interesting, unique builds. At least, there are a lot more options in Dragonflight. That's exactly what I've been missing in retail, compared with Classic and I can't wait to try it out.
The new talents are actually live on the PTR last I heard!
@@zafara1222 What's PTR?
@@xandervampire195 Public test realm. it is available on your launcher under the "In Development" section. they are testing the pre-expansion patch there which includes all changes that aren't in Dragon Isles.
@@zafara1222 They are. Every change that isn't in Dragon Isles(UI editor, profession changes, new talent trees), will come in the pre-expansion patch which is what is being tested there.
@@chriskay1449 Nice one! I didn't even know that was a thing. I'll take a look later. Thanks! :)
Definitely will give this a try. Might help my channel out
