@@omegazm7862 Exactly. You may need to grab some, like I still grab fatal toxins for poison chance regardless but you want to avoid getting them when you can
I want to play molten strike so bad...im also bad at this game so if you ever make a noob friendly POB for starting that I would give a virtual kiss. Deff subbing.
I added my current PoBs to the pinned comment on this video. I will say that poison molten strike is pretty unfriendly, especially a version like this that needs to be crit capped.
Wish I could figure out a way to play this with a Assa BV Seismic style setup or pure BV maybe even bfbb. But crit on spells seems harder to get for marylenes and i cant use nightblade for an easy ungils. I am not knowledgeable about poe enough though so im definitely lost for ideas.
It is seriously tough on most spells, that is why I was talking about ice spear. A base 6% crit is really hard to overcome when you need to have 100% crit chance. Someone recommended bladefall of impaling since it has a base 10% crit and the "no extra crit damage" with hits line doesn't matter since PA already has that. Only other options I can think of using plumes of pursuit alongsidde marylene and spell echo since it makes repeats always crit. Or something silly like sandstorm visage alongside a prophecy wand to fix the base crit of most spells. Both of those are probably super expensive early though Wish I had a better way to do it for spells but I also was struggling
yeah it's looking like it will be pretty strong, I am considering trying out some gladiator bleed stuff with it because as you mentioned in the description it's pretty easy to cap crit when you got 20% extra base crit chance, also helps that base crit on daggers and claws got buffed. Only thing I am not sure of is what skill to use, maybe just dual strike or dual strike of ambidexterity. Using dagger and claw does limit the options somewhat but I think nightblade is just too good and you are pathing over there anyway for the perfect agony so picking up 80% elusive effect is pretty easy. I was also considering some frenzy charge stacking taking the masterful form from slayer with forbidden flesh/flame to make use of the buffed endurance charges and Maven belt for affliction charges. I was also thinking of how to get rupture support into all that but dual strike is too slow I think for that, maybe double strike would work. Think that may be trying to do too many things at once though.
@@fleckens my only concern with that idea is being able to get a good phys dagger. I would say you could dual wield veruastras but they are probably too low of base crit, maybe binos? This all assumes you are trade league since those are a pain to drop I could see double strike working, or ambidexterity would obviously work. Blade flurry I think also got a massive buff but it is a channeled skill
with varustra u could get all the benefits of weapon master, but not sure if its worth dual wielding them since having one varunastra already gives u max benefit, so just equip whatever weapon class works best in ur other hand.
The critical strikes do not deal extra damage line on perfect agony is the same as in Ungil's Harmony, which sets crit multiplier to 100% (on PoB anyway). Does the conversion to over time multiplier still happen with higher values?
Yep! This is not calculated in the current version of the 3.25 PoB so you have to manually enter your dot multiplier. I'm assuming you might be asking does this interaction actually work together? Like I know in PoB and the character sheet it says your crit multiplier is 100% while ungil's is on but I think that is just the character sheet being misleading like with Chaos Innoculation taken it showing your chaos res as 100%. I guess we will know for sure when the patch goes live but PoE is generally pretty specific with its wording and if it actually set your crit multiplier to 100% I would expect it to be worded like Maligaro's Virtuosity.
im thinking of going pestilent strike, ive never really played a real poison build prior to this so would you recommend pathfinder or Assassin? kinda wanna do assassin for hipster points and easy crit, just need to figure out levelling and defenses but pestilent strike SHOULD be easy to level
Its tough because assassin is going to be wayyy more damage early on but once you get a little more currency pathfinder is going to have a much easier time getting tanky. Either way, make sure not to switch to Perfect Agony until you are crit capped If this is your first time leveling a poison build I would recommend leveling with pconc until maps. You can try switching to pestilent strike once you can afford to buy a wasp's nest since you will use a pneumatic dagger eventually but those can be pricey early on an wasp nest is a super common drop. Probably can't realistically switch to perfect agony until you get an ungil's harmony. Like you can try using pestilent strike at level 28 when you get it it is just that you will need to be constantly upgrading your weapon each act and it is hard to make a decent dagger/claw in acts (mostly relying on chance to poison support)
@@poopbutts Something I do at every league start, is buy the unique dagger "Mightflay" at lvl 30. More than enough damage until lvl 60 where you can either do your own thing or switch to Goblinedge or Wasp Next for damage upgrade (I stick with daggers + thief's torment for life on hit and res). I recommend you try it out at some point, leveling becomes a breeze.
@@mrpachaaa ya know I usually don't buy gear in acts but that isn't a bad idea. Could grab some dusktoe's early on if people are selling them. I use that kind of stuff on future characters but I'm so used to ssfing my first character I didn't even consider buying stuff lol
Great video! I played Poison LS Assassin back in 3.17 and it was an amazing build. Going to revist this season and maybe play around with different skills. What do you think about a skill like Spectral Throw in this setup? Would you go Blizzard crown to stack even more flat damage or the more versatile eldritch implicit helm? Also would a self chill setup w/ Icefang Orbit be pretty good here? Seems to have some synergy.
Self chill definitely since icefang orbit is super good on poison builds anyway since it helps cap poison chance and poison builds usually lack sources of increased damage (mostly take multi) Spectral throw is completely fine in these kind of setups. In fact I usually level builds like this as poison spectral throw (two handed sword). I normally switch to a different skill post pneumatic dagger but you really don't have to
@@poopbutts Would you happen to have a leveling pob or vod somewhere with this kind of run? Would like to follow along and see if I can get a few practice runs in. I saw there was a run for locus mine Trickster on your channel and I'd otherwise try to adapt that build for Assassin until I got pneumatic at least if it's much better than spectral throw early on.
@@blumsden09 I'm sorry but I don't. Just phys recipe swords as you level. Take all the "increased chaos/increased phys" nodes and poison chance on your way down to the bottom right sword cluster (grab frenzy on hit sword mastery). Pick up multi shot too. The kind of tree is pretty much the exact same to leveling poison helix if you can find that. The only real difference between it and p conc leveling is grabbing the phys/chaos nodes and a sword cluster. I know jungron league started poison assassin spectral throw the last time spectral throw was modified but I don't know if he made a video on it (might have a vod). It was the league vengeant cascade was added as an anoint
Im goin to be runnin pestilence strike with PA on assassin atm i have like 835% crit multi but i need to change stuff lol, im goin to remove marelyns fallecy and gettin rid of the negative crit and changing stuff, but PA IS INSANE now i cant wait
I think new Perfect Agony and Ele Overload can actually stack for ignites, EO makes Crits deal no extra damage (which PA will do too) and makes ailments never count as being from crits, which actually shouldn't matter since PA doesn't care if the ailment if from a crit anymore, just the hit. Will probably try league starting with new PA to test if it really works with EO when i get the chance
@@drillspin1 That is a really good point. I was so stuck on how that interaction used to work I didn't think of that. Definitely going to check that early in the league
@@poopbutts update: just saw QnA and EO + PA will not stack, the "ailments never count as being from crits" portion actually makes it so you can never apply aiments with PA, unfortunate
I don't want to mislead you because I don't know for sure but I assume that would okayish, you will likely struggle with single target before getting a pneumatic dagger though. You could always try clearing with cobra lash and using something like viper strike for single target until you get a good enough pneumatic dagger you no longer need it.
I've been wanting to try something like this with power charge stacking and power siphon. My plan was to put power siphon in Dialla's and ramp the gem quality up though a green socket and a beefy enhance support. I did a very scuffed pob and it was running like 900 crit multi with minimal investment in gear and almost nothing in the tree except for power charge notables The issue is because I'm running void battery, I don't have a great source of damage on the wand itself. I was thinking either ignite or poison. Ignite is typically limited to just one so I'm not sure how good that would be and poison.... well, I just got done playing a poison built so I'm kind of bored What are your thoughts on this? Can you think of any potential applications with power siphon and perfect agony?
@@XodiaqKey funny you should ask! I have a poison perfect agony power siphon assassin build I played last league if you want to check out that video To get good flat you generally are going to want to use the covenant. I guess I could just push the crit multi as high as possible and just go for a basic attack Style without perfect Agony but it's just so strong right now I want to take advantage of it in addition to the ridiculous Krit multi on power siphon
i’m wanting to play a crit multi viper strike assassin sort of like the ones mentioned in the video as i like the ability even though it’s far from optimal, i think the damage scaling will be solid with poisons from PA, the only thing i’m worried about is it’s survivability, i’ve play it in the past and have always struggled with dying a lot. any suggestions on making a build like this alittle more durable during maps and such?
@@forfeitthewar I've been a big fan of wind dancer and blasphemy enfeeble lately. If you can get your hit damage decent enough and skip using deadly ailments the celestial brace should let you have a decent fortify up
@@forfeitthewar I meant to say sand flesh and stone instead of wind dancer (this is good too). Especially for something that is going to be super up close with mobs
@@poopbutts i was looking in the POB to find anywhere i could get some defense and noticed wind dancer and thought it seemed worth the point so i’ll probably pick that up along with flesh and stone. what are your thoughts on grace/determination now after the changes, worth taking or not really anymore?
@@forfeitthewar Determ was tough on that part of the tree before because you lack good sources of "Increased armour". I still like grace on that side of the tree. You can use determ if you end up using big armour bases like dawnbreaker plus something else. If you get a really fat evasion chest though you can get tons of evasion from the "100% increased evasion from body armour" evasion mastery One thing to keep in mind is if you are a build that is crit and hitting fast you can spend 3 points on the flask nodes right next to agony and it should give you pretty decent up time on your flasks. You could have very high uptime on 1-2 if you just roll the "flask charge on crit" onto those flasks specifically. The cool thing about this is you could build around it letting you keep up a jade or granite
Does dire torment even work with perfect agony? Is for multi for ailments with crits different from general dot multi? Usually theyre additive right? So as weird as it is, dire torment, the notable literally designed for the archetype, doesn’t work I’m pretty sure
i think warden poison MS will be better. u can get dot cap easily whatever warden or assassin, but barkskin, grace, lightning coil, dawnbreaker might be a good defense layers.
@@fernandogouveia2924 100%. I played a poison ballista agony build already this league and it was great. The bow crit nodes are fantastic and spine bow can get a pretty high base crit making it not difficult to crit cap
@@poopbutts I'm currently trying to assemble a PoB, but I'm concerned haha. Damage number no go up. Which class would you recomend to go with this settup? (Perfect Agony + burning arrow). I was thinking about going with an assassin, using crit nodes, elusive etc... picking many bow nodes and stuff and using ungil's, managed to get something around 3,08 total multiplier, with a triple elebow (around 800 EDps which isn't difficult to get, atm). @@fernandogouveia2924 I would still go elementalist tbh. Getting to use a tri ele bow and have all of that ignite is going to be so much damage it will be worth the more difficult time crit capping. You get to automate your power charge gain through manaforged so that should help some
I am doing poison ice spear with rebuke of the vaal but in a wardloop build. I swapped to poison because it was struggling to get enough damage in the build since it kind got murdered with the nerfs. My version however uses acrobatics impossible escape to get perfect agony since I can't actually go there. It will not be a league starter tho but a second build because the nerfs made impossible to start as wardloop
Does this new perfect agony REPLACES your dot multi with the amount of critical multi you have, or it adds the crit multi as dot multi together with what you already had before? the text makes it looks like a replacer, am i crazy?
im so damn confused right now. I have the new beta tree, but when I use Perfect Agony keystone with my slam ignite build, I get ZERO increase to damage while getting global crit multiplier - is it a bug in the current pob or am I missing something obvious?
PA doesn't work in the new PoB yet. You have manually enter it in. I've been adding it to a jewel or the custom section. Just make your dot multi match your crit multi. For example Adding to the custom section in PoB +456 to damage over time multiplier for ailments from critical strikes Your Critical Strikes do not deal extra Damage Or adding to a jewel {custom}+456 to damage over time multiplier for ailments from critical strikes {custom}Your Critical Strikes do not deal extra Damage
I saw this and knew that I had to bring back Viper strike of the Mamba pathfinder. I don’t even need to cap crit, because my non-crits just won’t apply poison anyway thanks to new perfect agony. Plus, ambush looks incredible with this.
@@TheModdedwarfare3 Noted, but perfect agony looks so good now anyways that I don’t think the build even needs ambush. Daggers get so much free crit multi from the tree anyways, and the base crit of pneumatic dagger is getting buffed. I can’t wait, this’ll be so fun.
Added a PoB to my pinned comment on this video Still pretty rough around the edges but that is the general idea. A lot of people don't like the way mapping feels with molten strike (myself included) so you can either switch the tree to the lightning strike one I have or just remove the 3 "reduced proj speed" nodes on the tree and swap them to pierce.
I was so hyped to see the near triple damage buff on pestilent strike. I know some of that is because it lost the flat but that matters so much less on a skill that will usually use pneumatic dagger. I've always wanted to play pestilent strike but never did because the numbers were so ass.
@@poopbutts I think with prolif and also explosions the clear will be good, and every three hits will be fine for ignites on bosses because you're getting 600-700 crit multi
Yep 100%, I have that in the description that I can't believe I forgot to talk about bleed. Bleed can do all the stuff I talk about here with poison and ignite. You can either do ambush stuff with one giant bleed or go crimson dance to play it more like poison etc. Plenty of options.
Ok hear me out: Perfect Agony Dual Wield Lacerate of Haemorrhage Gladiator You go Varunastra, Farrul's Pounce and Farrul's Fur. Farrul's Pounce gives us Crimson Dance only when we have Cat's Stealth (a buff granted by Aspect of the Cat, a mod we should get crafted on our boots). We increase Cat's Stealth duration to 6s with Farrul's Fur to match Cat's Agility duration, then we reduce both durations supporting Aspect of the Cat with Less Duration and Swift Affliction, getting both durations to 1.5s. With this, we can have 1.5s of Crimson Dance active, then 1.5s of non Crimson Dance, alternating permanently, which allows us to inflict 9 bleeds. 8 from Crimson Dance, and 1 extra normal bleed which can be aggravated. For a total of 490% base damage. We don't even need to take Jagged Technique from Gladiator since there are 2 small nodes on a crit bleed wheel which grant "25% to aggravate bleedings on targets you critically strike with attacks", for a total of 50%. Farrul's Fur gives us permanent maximum frenzy and power charges. Weapon Master ascendancy node gives us 20% More crit chance with daggers, as well as all the other bonuses thanks to Varunastra. We then steal Overwhelm from the Slayer with Forbidden jewels to easily reach 100% crit and stack a lot of crit multi with Perfect Agony. For defense, we go the 2 block nodes from Gladiator + buffed Versatile Combatant. This will allow us to easily reach 67% block chance for both attacks and spells, which then turns into 89% with lucky block.
@@seriouscasualgamer9580 It definitely does go over the cap, in fact it can go up to 99% chance theoretically. Lucky just makes the block to roll twice and picks the "blocked" outcome if possible, if you have 67% chance to block (33% chance of getting hit), that rolls twice. 0.33 x 0.33 = 0.11 roughly So 11% chance of getting hit, which is exactly the same as 89% block chance.
@@omegazm7862 Olesya's Delight would be really good if we get to have enough attackspeed to upkeep the 8 bleeds from Crimson and the extra bleed normal bleed at all times, which depends on our bleed duration and AS. Otherwise you just rather have the Frenzy charges I think? I don't know about Masterful Form though, it will be really hard to cap our crit without Overwhelm. I guess you can use Replica Badge of the Brotherhood instead if you want endurance charges. Usurper isn't that good because DoT multi doesn't give anything with Perfect Agony, you need crit multi instead, DoT multi has no effect.
Bladefall of impaling(base 10% crit) poison perfect agony maybe will be ok at a better budget you can get marylene going, easier if you go assassin, you probably shouldn't go obliteration because the explosion wont poison
My stupid idea was something like: Replica Atziri's Acuity, Seething Fury, Emperors Vigilance. Stick to the left side of the tree (Chieftain maybe). Use Shield Crush of the Chieftain with Controlled Blaze and maybe get some nice Ignites going. Can't start this obviously but I might try it out after I get my 4 stones + 6 atlas slots.
Did either of you end up trying this? I’m theorycrafting this in standard with a crucible vigilance and a legacy voidheart, plus elementalist for shield charge ignite/poison/bleed
I did my 36/40 and started to collect the gear to try this out, but satisfactory got released and have to study. I didn't realize that the gloves required crit to activate perfect agony, so I put it on hold at the time. Didn't have clusters and no plans to reliably crit. Guess seething fury+emp vigilance are a must
I was hesitant because they are so jank but here they are. Poison Ice Spear - pobb.in/gTsJREtQyxRJ Poison LS CoC Ice Spear - pobb.in/ysUrZe84XKf8 These are just a proof of concept and are not real builds, I can't stress that enough hah.
@poopbutts no need to be hesitant anyone who doesn't understand this is just theory crafting is playing the wrong game but anyways I absolutely love the idea and the interactions
I was thinking about this, crit multi is additive whilst dot multi is multiplicative, does that cause Perfect Agony to look juicier than it is? Or is the number just that high that it doesn't come close even with it being additive.
@@Diffex89 "Instead, it now causes Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments to be equal to Critical Strike Multiplier" That's not how I read that. It doesn't use your crit multi as dot multi anymore but rather uses your crit multi stat as the dot multiplier instead of your dot multi. So for example, 4x 40% crit multi becomes 310% multi (150% base + 40*4) whilst 4x 40% dot multi is 384% multi (1 base * 1.4 * 1.4 * 1.4 * 1.4).
@@Jorezm Damage over time multiplier is now = your crit multi ... so you have 240% crit multi ... now you got 240% dot multi aswell. thats also why it doesent matter if you take any dot multi on the tree as its set to what the crit multi is ^^
@@Diffex89 I'm talking about how multiple instances of crit multi work differently from dot multi though, I know your crit multi gets used instead of dot multi. Stacking one vs the other seems to work differently according to the wording, which is why I asked.
@poopbutts Can you explain to me, why this works? For my understanding it does not matter if i scale dot multi or i scale the base hit. Does the crit multi on the hit that inflicts the poison does not just scale the poison?
So the "critical strikes deal no extra damage" line on the updated perfect agony is the same mod found on Ungil's harmony. What that mod means is your hit damage from critical strikes deal no extra damage. Like if you have 300 crit multi and you crit it would deal the same HIT damage as if you had 0 crit multi and crit. You still have the 300 crit multi, it just doesn't do anything for hits . However, since Perfect Agony sets your DoT multi equal to your crit multi you get to take that unused 300 crit multi for hits and convert it to 300 damage over time multiplier I know it is confusing but does that make sense?
Before all of the phys taken as stuff I used to be a big fan of having a really large hybrid hit pool alongside tons of evasion and ghost dance. That alongside wind dancer, and either blasphemy + enfeeble or the new flesh and stone should really help mitigate all damage. Alternatively you can still use lightning coil + dawnbreaker
For self cast builds I have "Overwhelming Malice" on a large chaos cluster which gives unholy might on crit. For things like Locus mines where I don't hit myself I use balance of terror (despair) or Ritual of shadows from a glorious vanity like you said. Super early you can use withering step with more duration support but I try to get off that as soon as possible since I hate the way it feels.
You would think but that one is actually a little tricky to set up. That base 6% crit is very hard to over come even with Assassin's base crit. You can do it it would just require better gear than things that get to use claws, daggers, wand or swords etc. PConc in general is a great starter regardless though and you still get a butt ton of damage from assassin even before switching to PA
@@albinobunnnyable 100%. You probably want to wait until you get an Ungil's too but technically you don't need it if you get a good enough crit pneumatic dagger and pick up more crit nodes.

Ambush perfect agony poison rage vortex of berserking is looking insane. Easy crit cap, move while dealing damage, great damage effectiveness. As for the returning projectiles rune word, do we know it's available on daggers? Not all rune words work on all weapon types. Also saw the Inextricable Fate tech, it looks absolutely insane now. Hopefully the oils you need to anoint that are not gonna be to crazy to farm in SSF prayge. I'm also looking at phys shield crush glad as a starter right now. Shield Crush got buffed quite a bit and notably unlike all the non-shield melee skills it didn't lose its flat added damage. Both its flat added damage and its scaling got buffed. One of the weaknesses of shield crush was always that it was easy to put together a shield with high armour but difficult to also have good block chance on top of that. New glad solves this and pretty easily gets us to around 90% block/spell block (accounting for lucky and versatile combatant). Additionally shield crush now gets easy access to rage which was pretty awkward previously. Glad also lets you get bleed splosions for super juiced mapping and the up to 100% more damage node for bossing. We can also use Varunastra as a stat stick with the new Weapon Master node. With the leech mastery we get up to 30% instant leech which is insane. We get 20% more AoE which is really underrated imho. We get 15% more damage, 20% more crit and some accuracy.

@@bgtaylor89 you certainly could but I do like fleckens comment about pestilent strike (large buff as well) since it is pretty satisfying but was always too low of damage. I want to make a Storm Burst, incinerate of Expanse, Winter orb + flamewood taunting totem build using these concepts. Storm Burst getting in over 200+ hits of poison and it works well with more duration
I was pretty interested in trying a self cast worb version myself so I don't see why that wouldn't work for totems. Flamewood alongside worb sounds like it could be promising since they both benefit from gmp and rain of splinters. Only one I'm a little skeptical of is incinerate of expanse since it has no multi hit component so it might be a little uncomfortable. It might be fine if you opt to use consuming darks, vine boots and vinespoke cordial anoint so when mapping so you still have consistent poison and then you will get all of your damage on rares/bosses
You certainly could but you would need to get a little more base crit somewhere since spark's 6% is a little low. Plenty of ways to do that though like chest mods, glove corruptions, assassin's mark, real weird stuff like going arhcmage alongside kalisa's grace.
never played melee, would be very interested in seeing the ice crash elementalist more fleshed out if possible. otherwise, time to pob for myself, thanks for the guide
No problem and good luck! I will be working on one it is just tricky to build and I can never seem to get the damage to where I want it. Maybe this buff is finally enough tho
@@tubinauta420 technically but not well. It gives youdot multi for ailments and toxic rain is a generic dot. Now if you wanted to do caustic arrow of poison that would work
From what I see on the passive tree it is kinda even more crazy. It is not modifiers to crit multi apply to dot multy. It is dot multi IS EQUAL to crit multi. So as I read it if you have no investment in crit multi it is already 150%. You put on Maligaro's Virtuosity it is now 300% with no penalty to crit chance. And no other investment. Just gloves. And about those boots and poison - Scourge Arrow of Menace ballista sounds like the best way do do it. It was the meta poison stuff with old tinctures. About keeping life flasks - there's a belt that gives you flask changes.
Oh the maligaro's is smart. That plus ungil's is kind of just a great combo for a ton of damage You just made me realize that the way the new perfect agony is worded means that you want to avoid taking actual dot multi since it wouldn't have any affect since it just sets your dot multi to your crit multi
@@poopbutts yep. It seems like at higher investment you will want to actually scale crit multi, but to get the build going - Maligato's + ungil's. And if you go bleed then some experimentation with gladiator is needed - 25% more crit is very nice. It will get you to 50+ crit chance with just ungil's and some dagger with with pretty much any inc crit roll and literally nothing else. So pretty ez crit cap. I'm not sure about Jagged Technique (aggravate on hit) from gladiator - you will get 50% chance to aggravate on crit just from cornered pray cluster. And if your bleed duration in not to close to your attack speed (in other words - if you are not using rupture support) - 50% is almost as good as 100%. But on the other hand cornered pray notable itself is just dead and do nothing if you are using maligaro's. So yeh, I will spend a lot of time thinking about all this stuff.
@@vladimirsemyonov4314 let me know how it goes! I'm going to mess around with some bleed stuff in PoB I don't really like jagged technique on glad, wish they did something else with that node
@@poopbutts now that we finally got 20/20 gems there're some more info on bleed. Because before we had no info on puncture of shanking at all. PoB is still messed up tho - even normal puncture doesn't work with daggers for some reason. So it is pain in the ass to get the numbers. Anyway - my thoughts about crit bleed where - go dagger get ez crit cap, then you can upgrade you build. Why daggers? We have "free" ascendency point on gladiator we can turn into 25% more crit chance if we have dagger (not using jagged techniqe). That brings us to "why puncture". Well, it's kinda the only bleed skill for daggers. And it has longer bleeds to help you with rupture support if you are going to use it (and I'm going to at least try it). And we don't need any chance to bleed from the tree. It is very good because most of the bleed nodes are bad for us (a lot of useless dot multi). There're some downsides ofc. It is a strike skill. Even more so - it is a strike skill on a build where you wanted to use unique maligaro's gloves early on - so no eldrich "+ targets for strike skills". Spoiler alert - I don't think we should use them ever, more about that later. We do have bleed explosions, they will make clear better. How much better? That one we will have to see and feel ingame. Dual wield or shield? Early on - shield for sure, in the late game... idk. Next - what dagger is the best for such a build? Imo - it is ez Sai. Not the best crit, but up there - 8% (highest one is 8,5). But - the highest dmd with the slowest attack speed and the biggest dmg roll range. And implicit is actually the best one for us as well. We are going crit and the crit implicit is not the best, why? Well, because we are going crit. That 6% block chance will allow us to get versatile combatant + some max block with just 2 block wheels. So we will not have to go for one more wheel, which saves not only points on that wheel, but also the travel nodes (2 or 1 travel nodes as I see it right now - so not a huge amount for sure). While we are going to get a bunch of crit multi anyway (after maligaro's), and it will give us some crit chance just by accident. And even before that - we are going to the right side of the tree (because we kinda not against getting a certain notable there). And there're way WAY more crit nodes then block nodes on the right side. If you aren't going for extra block chance tho - it doesn't look like that implicit will be any good at the moment. Just grab testudo + deflection and a shield mastery "+block ATTACK chance per block on shield". You shield still have chance to block, it just doesn't count by default. But even with no implicit I think that it is the best bleed dagger just based on speed and damage rolls. Next - what about getting crit cap? We are putting ungil's on and go to the backstabbing node. And we take crit chance along the way. We craft + minimum power change on ring. Crit cap. With no other gear or anything, no conditional crit chance. pobb.in/hfGWkEsbJcoM. Not a real tree - just how to get to block and crit cap. Shield is just a random pre-set I found in pob. Why there's no maligaro's gloves? They also have 50% inc crit chance - we can drop min power charge at the very least. Well, if you will take off ungil's to see crit multi... It is 272% just by accident. We didn't try to get it, just to cap our crit chance and we are already at 272. With none on gear or anything. At this point Maligaro's will give us 10% more damage and 5% attack speed. That's nothing for a full gear slot. Even if we ignore eldrich implicit for more clear. And I would not recommend to ignore it - it is huge. And we are also ignoring the fact that we can use crit multi support instead of cruelty. And crit multi support will give us 54% more damage at this point. And cruelty will give us up to 40% IF we will max out the buff. So no - at the end I think that maligaro's is just bad. Another point - we might need even less crit chance. We get a bunch of conditional crit chance. 100% for targets on full life, and even more so for bleeding targets (118% just from the skill). So why would anyone will be not on full life? Because we have hit them, then they are bleeding, then we have that crit chance anyway, right? Well... no. We have explosions, they can make a target with not full life and no bleed on them. And if we have used that 100% int crit chance to cap out we will have 87% crit chance for them (more or less). Will it be enough? Will it ruin our clear? I don't know, we will have to feel this out. Also it is a problem for multi-phase bosses. So I would not recommend to mess with conditional crit chance. Also - use eviscerate retaliation skill. It doesn't deal a ton of damage. I doesn't even deal a shit ton of damage. It deals a dozen shit tones of damage. And a small truck on top of it. And it is an extra reason not to mess with conditional crit chance. It is not a big deal if you miss one crit with your regular attack, but if you don't crit with this one... boy oh boy you are not happy.
@@poopbutts About PA in general - I think that the best way to do it will be crit poison balista. Scourge Arrow of Menace with balista will inflict huge amount of hits. Vinespike cordial will inflict grasping vines. You play in on pathfinder anyway, so you get permanent life flask uptime. You use Inextricable Fate so now all your damage poisons (not even "can" poison - so you don't even need any chance to poison). Use some tri-ele bow. Bows are very good for crit chance and crit multi. Nothing can go wrong there. I have already played the same build (non-crit and with old tinctures instead of boots), so I don't want to put any further thought into this build. But yeh - at the very least you can drop all the crit stuff from it and you will have very-very strong build. As a side note - I wonder why ggg didn't change "Dire Torment" node? It looks even more sad now. So so sad.
You need to be opted in to the 3.25 PoB beta for this link to work but here it is pobb.in/32F8trmsNtOP It is pretty unoptimized but this is the rough sketch I have for a few different trees The dot multi is manually set on the jewel by ghost dance since PA doesn't work in the new PoB yet. Assassin will be quite a bit more damage but I think you would need to use something like "storm brand + faster casting + chance to poison" for his noxious strikes to work properly (not 100% sure on that)
I was going to reply no but I PoBd it to be sure and actually looks pretty decent, although you would have to play assassin pobb.in/_M-r08R_1Mp3 Not exactly how many hits to set the skill to. I know a lot of people put every projectile hitting but idk if that is realistic
@@jordanwhite4963 Oh trhese aren't fleshed out characters. I just threw these together in about 10-15 minutes to confirm the updated perfect agony was busted. Trickster doing that would make a ton of sense if you want something more defensive. Most of the damage does come form Noxious strikes which is like 75-100% more damage but opportunistc is also 25% more damage and toxic delivery is 35-40%.
I thought the exact same thing, I saw it as a big buff. Also man, they ruined that raider wintertide brand start, kinda lame but raider in general was so boring. It's now a fresh and solid ascendancy.

Both of those are probably super expensive early though
Wish I had a better way to do it for spells but I also was struggling
yeah it's looking like it will be pretty strong, I am considering trying out some gladiator bleed stuff with it because as you mentioned in the description it's pretty easy to cap crit when you got 20% extra base crit chance, also helps that base crit on daggers and claws got buffed.
This all assumes you are trade league since those are a pain to drop
I could see double strike working, or ambidexterity would obviously work.
Either way, make sure not to switch to Perfect Agony until you are crit capped
If this is your first time leveling a poison build I would recommend leveling with pconc until maps.

Self chill definitely since icefang orbit is super good on poison builds anyway since it helps cap poison chance and poison builds usually lack sources of increased damage (mostly take multi)
Spectral throw is completely fine in these kind of setups.

Fucking chad move. Pestilent strike is so sick. I'm so happy it can finally do damage now
I think new Perfect Agony and Ele Overload can actually stack for ignites, EO makes Crits deal no extra damage (which PA will do too) and makes ailments never count as being from crits, which actually shouldn't matter since PA doesn't care if the ailment if from a crit anymore, just the hit. Will probably try league starting with new PA to test if it really works with EO when i get the chance
@@drillspin1 That is a really good point. I was so stuck on how that interaction used to work I didn't think of that. Definitely going to check that early in the league

Although i don’t really know if it’s really viable :/
I don't want to mislead you because I don't know for sure but I assume that would okayish, you will likely struggle with single target before getting a pneumatic dagger though.
You could always try clearing with cobra lash and using something like viper strike for single target until you get a good enough pneumatic dagger you no longer need it.
I've been wanting to try something like this with power charge stacking and power siphon. My plan was to put power siphon in Dialla's and ramp the gem quality up though a green socket and a beefy enhance support.
I did a very scuffed pob and it was running like 900 crit multi with minimal investment in gear and almost nothing in the tree except for power charge notables
The issue is because I'm running void battery, I don't have a great source of damage on the wand itself. I was thinking either ignite or poison. Ignite is typically limited to just one so I'm not sure how good that would be and poison.... well, I just got done playing a poison built so I'm kind of bored

@@XodiaqKey funny you should ask! I have a poison perfect agony power siphon assassin build I played last league if you want to check out that video

@@forfeitthewar Determ was tough on that part of the tree before because you lack good sources of "Increased armour". I still like grace on that side of the tree. You can use determ if you end up using big armour bases like dawnbreaker plus something else. One thing to keep in mind is if you are a build that is crit and hitting fast you can spend 3 points on the flask nodes right next to agony and it should give you pretty decent up time on your flasks.

Yep 100%, I have that in the description that I can't believe I forgot to talk about bleed. Bleed can do all the stuff I talk about here with poison and ignite. You can either do ambush stuff with one giant bleed or go crimson dance to play it more like poison etc. Plenty of options.
Ok hear me out: Perfect Agony Dual Wield Lacerate of Haemorrhage Gladiator
You go Varunastra, Farrul's Pounce and Farrul's Fur.
This will allow us to easily reach 67% block chance for both attacks and spells, which then turns into 89% with lucky block.
sounds super cool but I think that lucky block still doesn't go over the cap of 75 , if it does work, I feel like it'd be an oversight
0.33 x 0.33 = 0.11 roughly
So 11% chance of getting hit, which is exactly the same as 89% block chance.

I was thinking about this, crit multi is additive whilst dot multi is multiplicative, does that cause Perfect Agony to look juicier than it is? Or is the number just that high that it doesn't come close even with it being additive.
nope crit multi becomes dot multi so its the same
@@Diffex89 "Instead, it now causes Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments to be equal to Critical Strike Multiplier" That's not how I read that.
However, since Perfect Agony sets your DoT multi equal to your crit multi you get to take that unused 300 crit multi for hits and convert it to 300 damage over time multiplier
I know it is confusing but does that make sense?
yeah if you crit without the keystone the poison damage will be equal to just hitting without crit
@@above_average_gatsby6574 Without perfect agony - if you crit you get +50% dot multi for that hit
PA Ignite Lightning tendrils trickster with stormfire ring (to be able to ignite) was my thought when i saw PA, suuper tempted
This looks cool but how does assassin live in maps now without any ele shift and basically no armour
I see you have 15 Withered Stacks in MS PoB. How can you inflict that without using the Timeless Jewel Node?
For self cast builds I have "Overwhelming Malice" on a large chaos cluster which gives unholy might on crit. For things like Locus mines where I don't hit myself I use balance of terror (despair) or Ritual of shadows from a glorious vanity like you said.
Super early you can use withering step with more duration support but I try to get off that as soon as possible since I hate the way it feels.
hey poopbutts, how you feeling on pconc assassin? surely its just busted with new PA
@@poopbutts ah so you think for ssf it would be safer to swap into molten strike after dagger base to use PA?
@@albinobunnnyable 100%. You probably want to wait until you get an Ungil's too but technically you don't need it if you get a good enough crit pneumatic dagger and pick up more crit nodes.
@@poopbutts appreciate the replies brother. saved my league start cause my ass forgot about pconc base 6% crit. are you only doing stuff on youtube?

Oh true true it might be restricted to axes or something.
It is funny you say that because I was also thinking about rage vortex of berserking after I made this video. Like the poster child for ambush use
@@poopbutts Yeah there is so much broken stuff we'll get to do this league lmao. The warcry video from captain lance is looking very juicy as well, almost enough to bait me into slams lol.

I did something very similar to your poison assassin MS build. Looks amazing, I am curious what you think for levelling? it required the pneumatic dagger so do you think you could just play reg molten strike untill you can afford that? seems like with the buffs itll be acceptable, albeit maybe kinda gimp?
Probably just play viper or pestilent strike if you want to go poison until you have the dagger, or something like frost blades or lightning strike if you don't mind starting as ele and swapping later.
@@bgtaylor89 you certainly could but I do like fleckens comment about pestilent strike (large buff as well) since it is pretty satisfying but was always too low of damage. If you are playing an assassin you will want to play something as poison since you get so much damage from the ascendancy
Ive leveled similar builds in the past with poison spectral throw or spectral helix using two handed swords but with the large buffs to melee this league I would be looking to use a melee skill to level
Awesome, thank you both!
I'm going to start with poison concoction and transition to molten strike, it's really very strong
It might be fine if you opt to use consuming darks, vine boots and vinespoke cordial anoint so when mapping so you still have consistent poison and then you will get all of your damage on rares/bosses
can u drop the pob for ms poison?
pobb.in/9-SS1I-VZbiY
What I have for it currently
How u deal with clear?
hybrid flask has enduring prefix, should still count as under the effect of life flask.
So pathfinder poison spark?
You certainly could but you would need to get a little more base crit somewhere since spark's 6% is a little low. Plenty of ways to do that though like chest mods, glove corruptions, assassin's mark, real weird stuff like going arhcmage alongside kalisa's grace.
never played melee, would be very interested in seeing the ice crash elementalist more fleshed out if possible. otherwise, time to pob for myself, thanks for the guide
No problem and good luck! I will be working on one it is just tricky to build and I can never seem to get the damage to where I want it. Maybe this buff is finally enough tho
mmmm its work with toxic rain?
That plus ungil's is kind of just a great combo for a ton of damage
You just made me realize that the way the new perfect agony is worded means that you want to avoid taking actual dot multi since it wouldn't have any affect since it just sets your dot multi to your crit multi
I'm going to mess around with some bleed stuff in PoB
I don't really like jagged technique on glad, wish they did something else with that node
So so sad.
Mamba ambush with a dagger and get 100% increased critical strike damage against enemies on full life mastery then that ignite proliferates.
