    I’ve got a T25i with a dc42” deck. The cut is terrible. They ride like crap like you said the seats are garbage. After watching your video on add foam to your seat I pull mine apart and had 1” added to it and vinyl. The only reason I run a Walker is because we bag a lot of residential properties. Other wise we run a cheetah 72”, SVR2 61”, and a 32” wordlawn stander. If we didn’t bag grass we would not own a Walker. As long as Walker has been making these with very little changes you’d think they’d be able to address these issues. It not like they don’t know about them. Great video love the honest opinion!

      That deck is the worse cutting deck I’ve ever used! I’ve talked to walker and they have no answers. The 48 and 52 collection decks cut much better

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not the worst for me by far, that would be Wrights decks. I love the 56 I've had multiples and other than the issue with the side, it performs for us here in the northeast every time

      I’ve never had an issue with finding my Walker uncomfortable, or it. cutting bad. The only issue I had is it’s too damn expensive and I mow faster with a walk behind.

    I just bought one of walkers new R22 models with the 54” deck. It’s just what I expected after running my fathers B series and my brothers old 94 16 horse mower. The B has a 56”and the old 94 has a 54” deck. Both great mowers. My R22 cuts amazing just like the old walker mowers. I’m not a professional lawn guy by any means but I figured a mower that can last 30 years would be a good investment. I’m also not in a huge toot about ground speed while mowing, I like a good quality cut and the walkers always deliver the best cut.

    I run all Hustler for my zero turns. This is my 4th year owning my own business after working for my grandpa's lawn care for 12 years. Right now I have 2 60" x-ones. One is set up with the 3 bag bagger with the assist on the deck. The other 60" is set up with all the brackets to move the bagger from the one mower to the other in case of a breakdown. I also run the 30" exmark walk behind. Next spring I'm buying another 60" x-one and a 48" super s stand on from hustler

    I have had the same model T for Twenty Years! With just dealer maintenance once a year. No major failures! You spoke about the noise buy some noise canceling headset! Walker is a great faith believing company. Not some big corporate! If you want to stand or ride those nascar machines you will feel your age each day! I myself am not in a hurry up mode, if you have to do that you are pricing your bid tO low! The size if you want your whole fleet when you work buy a car carrier! I seen you speak of the qualities I brought out!

    I bought two Walkers last year. I made my decision primarily because of your many videos. I have a 2005 T25I with 1700 hours and it never breaks down. The second is the B27I with a big wheel kit comfort seat and 52" mulch deck that is my daily. The T is my back up and spring and fall cleanup machine. Thanks Randy for the information you share as a down to earth TH-cam contributor.

    We have had a Walker mower since 2000. I got another new one in 2012. The first one has about 5000 hours on it and is on it's 3rd engine, but we set it aside a couple of years ago and only use the newer one along with 2 Deeres with 60 inch decks and a Grasshopper with a 60 also. I'm just about fully retired from this business after 35 years, and I respect the Walker for having a great cut with their decks, and their standard seat is pretty bad. It slopes downward and is rather hard. I finally put on the thicker comfort seat a couple of years ago on the 06 Model. The older Walker is a model T GHS 48" deck amd the newer one has a 52" GSH deck. They both cut real good since new. I also have a 60" side discharge deck for them that I hardly used, but it also cut very well. I would like to try the 74" deck to just mow my yard where my business is, and relax a little...

    I have a walker b 23i with 52" mulch and b 23i with 56" sd, which I run those 2 majority of the time. I have walker mtl31 with 48" collection for leaves in the fall only. Last but not least I have ferris IS3100 w 61" deck. Comfort is second to none. Its been wet last few seasons, its heavy so rut up a little and fairly big for some yards. Thats why I run both b's, light and nimble, climb anywhere without rutting up and tearing the turf. They float fantastically across soft ground without getting stuck. Only pull out the ferris if I get a call to knock down big properties.

    I ran a mulch deck toro grandstand all summer and although the mulch kit isn’t perfect on all lawns it’s been so nice to not have to unload grass. My walker is sitting in the garage waiting for fall. I would like to sell the walker but they are so handy for spring cleanups, trimming, and fall leaves that I will probably keep it. Will add that although the cut isn’t bad with the toro there is nothing like the walker cut.

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Walker is 10 bushel which is more than the v Ride. You have it backwards, the v Ride does pretty well chopping up but nothing like the Walker. Walker has Versimow X blades, then the turbine that both chop it up. Because of how the oscillator works in the hopper, it packs it in so tight it's like a bail of hay. Also I have bins that go in the hopper that slide out to dump in a truck but I don't have a need for that anyway. 95% I leave onsite and the rest go on the trailer

    I've got 6 walkers, two t30s two t25s one t27 one b23i. Purchased a scag vride2 52" last year and yesterday just bought another one off showroom floor. I'm tired of walker fix cost and they are slower. Easier to bag/not bag with scag, scag takes up less trailer space. Walker parts availability is crap and over priced. They raised their prices $2,100 on the same machine a year later when I was going to purchase another t27i. Scag setup is over 6 thousand less, and that's with the power bagger for the scag vride2...

    • @CountrysideStrong

      Exactly some of the reasons I switched. They will eventually price themselves completely out of the commercial market. They never held more than 4% anyway

      @@CountrysideStrong walker needs to offer better warranties, engine options, fairer part prices to name just a few of the main issues. Scags are robust, parts are readily available, and prices are fair. I can't tell you how many times I think to myself before going out that I hope I have no issues with any of the walkers being ran. From new to 2200+ hours it seems as though there is always a decent possibility that something can act up.

    Ok, how hilly is your terrain where you’re at? I’m in southwest Missouri and my town is very hilly. But I have the exmark navigator which is a copy of the walker mtghs and it does fairly well on hills. But how does the bigger ones do that don’t have the bagger box? I’m a mid mount sit down guy, but those mowers with the floating decks really tempt me because of all our uneven ground. The navigator does a beautiful job for that reason. But is it worth putting up with the walker company and all the stuff that they make you buy extra that every other mower has as standard equipment?

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love my walker and I'll never get rid of it regardless of what they do. I'm not a fan of mid mount. I've owned many and just don't like them

    • @Sandridge-w3l
      @Sandridge-w3l 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, I understand. But it’s unfortunate that they try to sell uniqueness and exclusiveness and it’s very costly. For example I did buy a used walker once and 3 weeks later the engine blew. It was their old overhead cam engine and they were gonna make me buy some kind of kit so that I could even replace and reinstall a new engine. And they seemed to have a general unwillingness to help. So I said forget it and I scrapped this lawnmower and bought the navigator. New. It’s been a great machine. So are my John Deere’s, I ran one almost 4000 hrs and still had original pto clutch and blade spindles and bearings. So each to their own I guess. Thanks for your input.

    So when we had family as crew leads either myself, brother or father we had walker mowers. Nothing and I mean nothing beats how the cut. We went away from walker mowers because of employees. They don't care about your equipment, even the best ones don't care as much as the owner. Every time we turned around it was always one of them was down for something major it seemed because employees don't give a crap. They are here for a paycheck and that's it. It's not their.money on the line. Because of that we got rid of them completely. We run only walk behinds with Velke units on some and they walk behind the rest. Much cheaper machines and much easier for repairs and maintenance as well. We also run alot of hills pushing 30 to 35 degrees so walk behinds are much safe for us as well now. We are in north west Nevada in carson city.
