This is exactly what I was looking for. My geometric constructions of the gems are perfect but too laborious, difficult and boring. Your sweet voice and your clear English are a nice surplus. Thanks! Kisses from Italy!
I am having some trouble with where to place my dots in the first drawing (marquise). I understand the measurement for the first two side dots (slightly more than center) but the placement of the top dots and the dots between the side and top dots are giving giving me trouble. I either have too much or too little space at the top and then the dot between the side and top dot always ends up being with the side dot so I lose my octagonal shape. I understand the rest very clearly, but I just can’t get the dot placement.😢
thank you so much from turkey for all Chanel ,...If you have time, can you show us the drawing of the ring? It's pretty complicated to do this in real dimensions and perspective. How are you doing this? Thank you in advance.
I love the art but what kind of paint did you use for the white. And it would be cool to know your process of drawing the background of the gemstone as far as the facets reflecting color of the gemstone back. But great video anyway. looking forward to your next video. And do you have a web site where I can buy your prints that you've done. I'm looking for a specific drawing you did that I see on Google and a video you made of drawing it on your channel years ago but I can't find it to buy as a print
White paint I use is 'Winsor & Newton's gouache', permanent white color, 15ml tube. I plan to make video of painting gemstone as well. Currently, I am not selling my artwork anywhere. I need to update my website. Thank you for your interest though. :)
Thanks for the response and you should update it because I'm sure a lot of artists like myself would like to purchase some of your artwork . I personally like drawing from really good references so it's worth paying money for in my opinion. Thanks again for the response and you are an awesome artist
Hello, thanks for the tutorial. Where did you buy your green tool with all the geometric forms, I don't know if it's called normograph in english too. Thanks a lot.
Hi! I bought it 10 yrs ago at Blick in NYC. Here is the maker's website link that you can find distributors. www.dumatt.com/distributors.html Hope this is helpful for you!

Thank you very much!
