I'm the same way brother, if I have to pilot the forklift, I insist on using the one that I'm familiar with. We have two at the feed bin, when i' volunteering. Farmers are exactly the same. When I hook an implement to the tractor and plug in the quick couplers, if they are backwards I have got to switch them up. My brain doesn't work that way, or maybe it's just to old, but I got to change them. LOL Merry Christmas, Big Guy and crew, your families too. Peace on Earth. doug

Another excellent video. I would have thought however that CAT would have a switch to change the direction, so you do not have to take out plugs and replug them in. What does that unit burn in fuel on say hard ground picking up maple, or oak in 7/8 trunks at a time?
what ever set up u prefer is what should be used so many different ways to set them up no wrong way but do think that all the machines in that company's list should be set up the same way so u go to another skidder there's no change just for safety.stay safe get logs friend

The way you want to set it up seems counter intuitive to me. Push forward and the arch comes forward seems right.

A guy needs an easy fix every once in a while.
think if you swapped hyd lines it would've worked. But maybe had cavitation or surge due to the flow difference of rod in verse rod out.
And you wonder why you have electrical problems hehe!!!
