Iron workers term its like a saying like lefty loosey righty tighty haha when i was in aprentis shool for riging they tought us that with cable clamps a way to rember the sadel never goes over the dead end of cable and if its tight shoundent make a diference i use to use 3 clamps on cable railings when iron working and one in the midel once in a wile id put one the wrong way to hear know it all say it like a know it all would .
Y’all need marine band radios in your equipment and trucks. Makes the day go by better. Everybody knows where everybody is. If a truck gets stuck ha can call for help. That’s what we use. But we log very rural areas, no signal from any provider. It’s a $200 investment radio, coax and antenna.
I make my own cables. I use aluminum crimp sleeves & stainless thimbles. I made up a crimp die made of two solid blocks of steel the length of the crimp sleeve, with half moon holes (I clamped the two blocks together in the drill press and drilled a hole slightly smaller than the specified diameter) and use the shoppress to crimp them to the specified diameter. Let me know how you get on.😊
Well nice new rig...still need a winch..never had any logging equipment wo one...just say n...back weave the cablean a thimble in your hook an a few clamps yuuup way safer than a get out of trouble knot any day...cheers
Skidders are rough and you know you've done a day in it, but there still the best fun

11:51 on the right side are indications that road is a goat path. With just a little work could have been made clear.
Always check the lunch box 🍱
Good job broo
Must be hard brand new rig gonna get all muddy and scratched up
That skidder seems to ride pretty nice compared to the forwarder I run at half the speed
I know you're not a fan of chains, but do you think its cost effective to put a set on this skidder? Give us your thoughts on the pros and cons. 👍🏼
ok you stole my line, that new cat is good. I thought it was the cats meow, but the mats are.
Yeah that nose is so big you got to look ahead a quarter of an acre and good thing you have the big rubber they soak up the stumps
At least it still has Cat on it and not that paving equipment name on it.
There bouncy until you get a bogie skidder then it smooths out
👍👍👍👍
try turning the seat around
If u can drive a tigercat that no problem
Did someone say big bouncie unit?
525d the same just the steering wheel
And about twice the size
Were the heck is the steering wheel
I can enjoy that u think
