I just wanna drop by and say I'm actually really glad to go on a tour of an island that *isn't* relentlessly over-designed and busy. This island feels more natural, more personal. I dig its vibes. And that green screen room is a neat trick lol, I thought you did those thumbnails with Photoshop.
I like tours like this better than the really built out themed tours where every area is meticulously decorated. This reminds me a lot more of my island. Something that was played and enjoyed and evolved as time went. Some areas were built early game, some things added for functionality like the second player for storage (my island has 4 extra player houses) and other areas are sorta empty for the "I'll get to it eventually" pile. Might not be the inspo dump like the big themed islands but its a journal of your playtime with it.
I love your island. is it the best, most beautifully decorated? no. but is it decorated thoughtfully? absolutely, and that makes it amazing in its own way. It's really nice to see how you decorated it!
i love seeing day 1 islands, i've never reset mine either and there's just something cozy about knowing that it's still the same one i started on almost 4 years ago (eek), even if mine has been flattened and rebuilt back up twice now, lol

Dagnel, your ACNH videos are so funny; very outside-the-box. I have a suggestion for a future one. See how fast you can get a 5-star island but with one catch: it has to meet all the technical criteria of course, like "have lots of fences, trees, etc" but it looks like s***. Like mismatched colors and styles, refrigerators outside, just anything awful like if you were blindfolded. Pretty please!
This was such a lovely tour! I recently got back into ACNH and seeing an island that's so clearly loved and developed as you went feels like mine. All those meticulous themed islands (which are super cool, don't get me wrong) always made me feel like I wasn't doing enough with my island, but this kinda makes me feel better!

This island is a lot like my Day 1 island! I am absolutely stealing the villager graveyard idea. I didn’t play for about 2 years, but started up again this April and have been going steady since, trying to collect everything. Just today, I FINALLY got a blue rose 😭 I’m only missing 3 pieces of artwork before my museum is complete, and I’m very slowly buying every color of every clothing item in the game.
Do villagers have different dialogue in dreams when you also have them on your island? When I went to your dream address and talked to Sasha he told me it was “cool running into [me] here, [he] picked the right time to take a nap.”
Love your Island! My Island has also seen sparring visits since the 2.0 update, which is kinda sad. Regular content patches would have probably kept interest in the day to day gameplay alive for much longer! Love the little areas next to your villagers houses and the grand entrance! The man made waterfall area also looks very pretty

This looks so nice, and gave me some ideas! I recently deleted my Launch Island to start anew(believe it or not I've hit the "end point" on two different islands now). My second Island is currently being renovated, but this is giving me some interest in finally getting somewhere on my Third island. The thing I usually get stuck on is how long and tedious path placong and terraforming can be. By the time I've laid everuthing down I either come up with something new or outright forget my plans lol
I wish I'd kept my day 1 island, but the island I have now is over two years old and I don't plan on deleting it anytime soon. I'm currently revisiting New Leaf for some nostalgia and easy gameplay before I tackle redecorating my currently-flattened island (it's just too much stress even though I want to) so it's nice and inspiring to see this island of yours!!
New challenge: can you get a 5 star rating with only building furniture or using furniture you find? And only using flowers/shrubs/trees you find, no buying from Leif or Timmy and Tommy :)

Given that I have a field of black and gold roses I feel pretty confident in saying that you don’t have to “use” the gold watering can to water the roses to get more gold roses, just have earned it.

HHA Score: 152,015 for all items shown, during Winter (since this is the season you showed the house off in game). There are two rooms (not counting basement and 2nd floor) you didn’t show all 4 walls so I had to assume they were blank when figuring out your score. I figured this out by remaking @Dagnel house in my own game; took me about 2 hours.

For the empty spot I recommend you do a custom building, like a library, theatre, cafe, whatever. Also make sure the walls are on the north side
