I made this a couple of years ago and gave it as gifts to family and friends. They all loved it. I've just found this video again while searching for something to do with all my apples. Thank you.
You brighten my day every time I pop in! Love a good chutney. Toasted bagel, chutney, ham, artichoke hearts, and jarlesberg. (Every visit to Tassie this is my go-to choice at the local deli.) Kind regards from the US, Diane 💖🌎🌟
Just making chutney for the first time and found your recipe, I loved watching it and you’ve inspired me to have a bash, can you please tell me how much liquid in total I need, thanks.
Yay June, you are going to love love love making chutneys and pickles. Don't add to much liquid. It's a play it by eye. There should be sufficient juice to come out of the fruit. Usually I kinda cover the fruit.
In the description recipe, you mention reducing the cayenne pepper but, the recipe following does not list the cayenne at all. Please inform me/us as to the original amount of cayenne you are referring to. Thank you 🙏
Beautiful video.. beautiful recipe.. and you are beautiful too.. Just one worry.. using a wet spoon or wet lids/ jars would reduce the shelf life n cause it rot faster..
I want to make a blouse I’m trying to find woman simplicity pattern blouse that button down the back. Do you know of a pattern like that that I can get.
Thank you for the recipe Astar. I just had to giggle watching you pour your ingredients and fill your jars. I'm glad you didn't edit that out.

"Just" cover the apples with vinegar? Do you mean add enough vinegar to barely cover the apples? Thank you.
Yes, just enough to cover the apples.
Thank you for clarifying Astar! Blessings....
Can apricots or peaches be substantiated for 🍎
Hi Christina, YES YES YES you can substitute any fruits to suit. Keep safe Astar

Do you refrigerate the chutney?
Hello Elizabeth, no need to refridgerate chutneys and pickles etc. As long as everything is CLEAN all should be GREAT. Love for now Astar
Astar's Place thank you for reply! So glad I found your channel. Enjoying very much!
What vinegar. And how much. Not in the recipe. Just says add vinegar.
Hi John,
In response to your question - you need just enough vinegar to cover the apples.
Hope this helps, warm regards Astar
