@WATCH WITH JAYY My birthday was last Tuesday (5/3), just subscribed here and to quote Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi: "You've taken your first step into a larger world." I hope you'll continue your journey into this world with the other films/TV Shows in the Star Wars Universe. May the force be with you...
Now imagine being an 8 year old boy in the late 70’s when this came out. I saw it 9 times in the theater and it ran for 2.5 years in our local theaters.
My favorite moment - when R2 shuts down the compactor and they start screaming with joy, C-3P0 wails, "R2, they're dying!" 🤣🤣🤣 3P0 and R2 are comedy gold. A prissy diplomat and a foul mouthed mechanic. The biggest mistep in the prequels & sequels was trying to cram humor in, instead of letting it flow organically.
@@watchwithjayy I was a kid when this premiered, and the MAD and CRACKED magazine parodies commented on it perfectly: C-3P0 and R2-D2 were robotic Laurel and Hardy, the same chemistry/dynamic. I think it was the CRACKED satire that even depicted them in one panel with the "bowler" hats like Laurel and Hardy wore.
I was a 7 year old portuguese kid in 1994, never seen a movie and watching VHS tapes marked as soccer games when my parents were away, when one time I got so mad because 3 of them were actually this Star Wars trilogy. End up watching them and now I realize my father had the most precious tapes of them all! Completely changed my childhood specially when you're a kid and you have a vaste imagination. I loved your reaction, your thought on Obi-Wan's death is pretty on point when actually most reactors seem to be a bit confused when watching that scene. The next one is actually my favorite movie of all time and I hope you enjoy it which I'm sure you will! 😉
The other droid's name is C3PO. It wasn't Leia's fault. The empire had full intention of getting the information from her, then testing the Death Star's offensive weapon offensive anyway.
@@watchwithjayy It's made more explicit in supplemental material-- destroying Alderaan was a message to the systems that had already declared for the Rebel Alliance, and any that might consider joining them when news of the Senate's dissolution hit.
Even after 45 years, it's still one of the most enjoyable and imaginitive movies ever made. And it revolutionized how special effects were used in action movies.
I was 12 when _A New Hope_ premiered. As the precise target demographic for the film, let me tell you about my first screening. _A long time ago, in a movie theater about 50 miles away ..._ *There Was No Episode Title* Nobody thought this film would make much money. For all he knew, Lucas was making one movie. "Episode IV" was added in later releases to be in line with episode numbering from V on. I first saw _Star Wars_ at the Indian Hills Theater in Omaha, Nebraska, US (a city of about 1M). The Indian Hills was one of the last remaining Cinerama theaters in existence (it's gone, now). Cinerama was an experimental widescreen format seen in the 1950s and 1960s. It had an extremely curved screen, such that films shot in Cinerama used _three projectors_ : one for the center of the screen and one for each side. The projectors had to be constantly synchronized so that the film looked normal onscreen. If you see Cinerama films on DVD/Bluray/streaming today, it often looks distorted on the left and right. This is caused by converting a curved film to a flat screen. So there I was at the Indian Hills, a theater that seated 810 patrons: 662 on the main floor and 148 in the balcony. It was completely packed, as was every screening of _Star Wars_ until the film left theaters. I'd gotten to the theater rather late, forcing me to sit in the center seat of row one. This turned out to be fantastically good bad luck. Today, the center of row one is a terrible seat due to parallax distortion. In a theater the size of the Indian Hills, that distortion didn't exist because the screen was far enough away from the seats. However, it was close enough so that it filled my field of view from top to bottom. The screen was large and curved enough so that it filled my field of view from periphery to periphery. _Star Wars_ was shot in CinemaScope, a more popular experimental widescreen format of the era. While not technically the same as Cinerama, it still lent itself well to that screen. I watched _Star Wars_ with the film filling my entire field of view from top-to-bottom and side-to-side. I didn't have to turn my head to watch it unless I wanted to, and I usually didn't. It was an astonishingly immersive experience. Not even IMAX comes close. Add to that the massive audience reaction that shouldn't be overlooked. It was a shared experience that I've only seen at _Infinity War_ and _Endgame_ on their opening nights, when there were a lot of fans present. This audience reaction happened at every screening, in every theater, everywhere in the world, until _Star Wars_ left the screens. Imagine 810 people all cheering, clapping, jumping to their feet, and occasionally crying all at once. The shared experience was amazing, as it fed on itself. No one held back, it just kept growing and growing until the destruction of the Death Star -- which prompted massive roaring from the audience. The film itself was like nothing put to the screen at that time. While cinematically based on old _Flash Gordon_ and _Buck Rogers_ movie serials of the 1930s, this was a big-budget, big-screen version like nothing anyone had ever seen before. It completely changed science fiction on the movie screen. Until that time, you occasionally got a science fiction film, but they tended to be years apart. After _Star Wars_ , there were multiple science fiction movies every year, a trend that continues to this very day. There would be no modern _Star Trek_ without _Star Wars_ . _Star Wars_ was such a massive hit for 20th Century-Fox that Paramount quickly looked around and said, "Aha! We have this _Star Trek_ thing that Trekkies are always saying they want more of. Let's make it into a movie!" Thus _Star Trek - The Motion Picture_ was released in 1979. Without that, there would be no _Star Trek_ today. _Star Wars_ changed filmmaking from a business perspective. The film grabbed audiences like nothing seen in the entire history of cinema. While _Jaws_ was technically the first summer blockbuster, _Star Wars_ cemented summer as the time to release action-heavy, family-friendly films. The special effects of _Star Wars_ were utterly innovative, and the tools created by the likes of John Dykstra became commonplace in films that don't even have special effects. Almost all special effects in the Original Trilogy were achieved either in-camera, with optical effects, miniatures, extremely detailed paintings, or a combination of those techniques. CGI that allows an entire film to be shot on a green screen wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's eye. In 1977, the most advanced computers were the size of an SUV and didn't have the computing power of your phone. CGI as a primary filmmaking technique wasn't popularized until _Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow_ in 2004, by which time computing power/square centimeter had skyrocketed exponentially. The special effects spawned Industrial Light and Magic, a company created and owned by George Lucas that first did work for _Star Wars_ . ILM is still in existence today, constantly innovating with new technologies to create visual effects for many, many films and TV series. From it's inception, ILM has been considered the gold standard of VFX companies. In short, this film was nothing like what had come before. It changed _everything about cinema_ . And I got to see it with an audience of 810, on a screen so immersive that I got nauseous during the Trench Run.
[Largely irrelevant reply] I only sat in the front row for a movie once, and I hated it. I was in an almost-empty theater and decided to sit in front to try it, since so many people seem to like it. It hurt my neck something awful!
@@jb888888888 I don't sit in row 1 of modern theaters: they suck. However, as I mentioned in the original post, this theater was _huge_ . 810 patrons, including the _balcony_ . Unlike modern theaters, the layout was essentially flat, like a school auditorium. Because it was a Cinerama theater, there had to be a good 30 feet from Row 1 to the screen. That was more than enough to make the parallax distortion infinetesimal. Imagine sitting with your face 18" from a 42" flatscreen monitor. Now imagine stretching the sides of the screen out to where your peripheral vision is covered. That was _Star Wars_ in 1977. It was a radically different world in terms of ... well, _everything_ . The change from auditorium cinemas to modern cinemas is one of the things young people tend to miss. Not that there's any reason younger people should understand. That theater-going experience died in the 1990s. That's where we *Secret Masters of Fandom* come in. We lend context to prior eras.
Born in 87, I look upon your type with so much envy. The 2 events in history I'd give anything to witness are the original star wars release and Apollo 11.
So glad you started this the right way with STAR WARS (1977) aka Episode IV. With SW it is always best to go with theatrical release date order on first viewings. Oh and yes.. better late than never for sure.
Oh you'll definitely enjoy The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi,as you enjoyed this movie, that's why it's no secret why it stands the test of time. Great reaction
@@watchwithjayy the episode 4 stuff was added much later. When it was originally released the title was just 'Star Wars'. In 1977 George Lucas was a young up and coming director. Star Wars had a medium sized budget. Nobody expected the level of success of the film. George Lucas was such a young director that he's still alive and the movie is 45 years old.
saw this with my dad when i was 13. back then there were only single theaters. none of the 15-18 theaters that play multiple movies at multiple times during the day/night. we had to wait in line for 2 hours and the theater was so full that we couldn't even sit together. when the intro appeared on the screen, i knew we were into a different type of movie...😳👀😉☺👏
Hey Jayy, to clear up any confusion you had about watching episode IV first, it's basically because IV, V and VI is the the original release order of these movies
There’s nothing better than watching a reactor watching Star Wars for the first time. You nailed it with Obi-Wan becoming stronger, he is now a force ghost.
I was 9 years old when this came out in July of 1977. My dad was old school, raise during the great depression, a hard working no nonsense tough old farmer. He thought the idea of a "space adventure movie" was stupid so he wouldn't take me to see Star Wars all summer long. You need to understand what a big deal this movie was in the summer of '77. At the time we didn't have large theaters and movie-plex's. Most small towns had only a single movie theater. In my home town we had a movie house with 2 theaters. Star Wars played in one all summer long, in every time slot. The other theater rotated other movies that came out that summer. Eventually, the theater owners started show Star Wars in BOTH theaters on the weekends help deal with the crowds. The line to see Star Wars stretched out the door, wrapped around the building, went past the front door again, up to a highway, then turned and continued up the sidewalk beside the highway. College student and young people would get out of school and stand in line on a Friday evening in order to finally watch the movie on a Sunday. That's right... they would stay in line for 2 days. People would set up tents and sleep 2 nights in a row so they would lose their place in line. My dad would drive us by the theater to show us the lines and he would make fun of all "those stupid kids" for standing in line for so long. Finally in the Autumn of 1977 when I turned 10 years old, when all the lines finally died down my older cousin (16) , who had just received her drivers license, took me to see Star Wars. Suffice to say, it was everything I had imagined it could be. Star Wars change everything and still influences the movie business and pop culture even to this day. So glad you are finally watching these movies!
@16:45, when you say "I believe in you Luke", but then made a face like you really weren't that confident at all, lol, so genuine. That's when I subscribed.
The original trilogy, and this particular film, had a huge impact on the world, and they continue to do so every time a new fan watches them. They are a cinematic phenomenon that is unlikely to happen again.
It's So Refreshing to See a New Generation of Star Wars Fans falling in Love with Luke, Leia & Han. I can't Remember much of the day I watch Star Wars back in '77. I was 11- Years Old and it was My First time at a Movie Theater. We were all Shocked back then what We all witnessed. I'm Glad to go Along the Journey with You All over Again!
It stars at episode 4 since it's supposed to be like an old serial movie from the 40s. They used to play a movie in short episodes as a before the main feature to get people to come back to see what happens in the serial.
My dad (a sci-fi geek of an earlier generation) took me to see this when it hit Britain and it was basically like entering another dimension. You can understand why people got addicted and went around the block to queue for the next showing. It took ages to actually reach TV. In fact by that time I was in a position for my brother to take me to a double bill of 'A New Hope' and 'The Empire Strikes Back'.
This was my first big movie when I was 6 years old in 1977. This movie blew my mind. You'll find out more on The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. The version you watched has CGI added in the 90s by George Lucas for the re-release. The original had mostly practical effects like scale models and green screen. That version is only available in bootleg.
There's actually a two disc edition of this, Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi that includes both original and remastered edition. They can be found at used movie stores or Half Price Books sometimes
@@ericwilliams1031 i just looked looked it up and what I read is that the edition was the first time the original theatrical versions were released for dvd. The editions are hard to come by in some places. I got mine at a used game and movie store for 10 dollars each in very good condition. So if you ever find the one that has a gold band at the top and bottom of the case (blue band if full screen version) and it's under 20 dollars, that's definitely worth getting. Under where it says wide-screen it will say Limited Edition.
Amusingly, such were the rules around protecting the British film industry at the time that the cast list issued to ensure filming in England could take place put veteran British stars Alex Guinness (Ben Kenobi) and Peter Cushing (Governor Tarkin) above the now-familiar American regulars of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. Even the droids are two English-men (the long-suffering Anthony Daniels as C3P0 and the late Kenny Baker as R2D2).
The idea of four being first hearkens back to the old serials where you would probably not have seen previous episodes and just watched it from a random episode.
I was a regular little boy when I was young; I played with dinky cars, toy soldiers, watched cartoons... Then I saw Star Wars when it came out. POW!! From that day on, I dreamed Star Wars, played Star Wars, drew Star Wars, ate Star Wars (yeah, there was the cereal... lol)... This movie changed my life. :D
This was a great reaction. Some of the questions you ask regarding how Obi Wan joined the force and can communicate with Luke will most likely will be answered in the Kenobi TV series coming out on May 27, 2022. Wellllll...we don't know, we hope so. So for those who saw this in May or June 1977, we have been waiting a long time for the answers. You can find out in a few weeks.
Not even gonna lie. I watched a bunch of SW reaction videos. It would be a sister watching Star Wars would be my favorite one! Like every 👏 single 👏 one 👏 of your comments were #chefskiss perfect!
This was the first Star Wars movie made. At the time, Lucas was unsure if he would ever get to make a sequel. Later, when the movie was a hit, he retconned in the Episode IV A New Hope, as he planned prequels as well as sequels. Next you want to watch episode V, Empire Strikes Back, and then VI, Return of the Jedi. Then you want to go back and watch episodes 1, 2 & 3. 7, 8 & 9 are generally viewed as things you should skip. I do hope you enjoy the rest. At the time, there was nothing like this movie. Now, everything wants to be like Star Wars.
When the movies first came out starting in 1977, they started with episode 4…basically throwing you into the middle of the story so that the background would be mysterious and unknown. Episodes 4,5,6 came first (the original trilogy) then came episodes 1,2,3 which was fun because now that you knew what happened you got to now see how the galaxy got to that point and what caused everything to happen. Then episodes 7,8,9 came out to show you the aftermath of everything. A lot more fun and mysterious. These were the original order of the movies and should be watched this way so you can experience it like the audience did.
Original Trilogy: 4, 5, 6. Prequel Trilogy: 1, 2, 3. Side Stories: Solo, Rogue One. Sequel Trilogy: 7, 8, 9. You now have 10 more films to go (including the two Side Stories that are well worth the time, and adds to the overall picture of this saga). Enjoyed your reaction. I do hope you complete them all (and if it opens you up to the animated and live action series, then all the better). BTW, the special effects used were groundbreaking (sans the few alterations Lucas added when they remastered the original trilogy).
HOORAY!! You are now a Star Wars fan. The force is strong with you my young Padawan. You'll get to see what that is as you continue your journey through the galaxy. Im looking forward to it. Your commentary at the end was good. You were quite excited.
Glad you enjoyed it, hope you watch more. Fun editing too. You, keep doing you, no need to apologize for anything. Back in the day, for me….my parental unit gave me a flashlight and said….here’s your lightsaber kid. I loved it!
Saw this about six times as a teenager on the big screen when it first came out. When the death star exploded everyone in the place went nuts. Great experience and I really enjoyed watching you see it for the first time!
Welcome to the #StarWarsfamily and thank you for your reaction. I always enjoy the startle of OB1's death. It tripped you out hearing his voice after Darth Vader beheaded him. It was amazing to see it for the first time and ponder....what the heck is going on...lol
Jayy - a lot of your questions will be answered in the next movie. Empire strikes back, does a LOT of world building. It really lays the ground work for the series from here on out. You really get more depth on the characters, you get to see more planets, a lot more action, its just a great GREAT movie. But the real nagging question you have - yes, Obi-Wan became one with the Force, which is how he is able to talk to Luke.
all Ben had to do was get the Luke, Leia and the Death Star Plans off the Death Star and able to leave - once he saw Luke, he knew he had the real victory. He didn't expect to ever get off the Death Star himself.
BUCKLE UP!!! Release order is a must. They did the 4th episode first because it was the best 👌 and they weren't sure people would buy it. After this sci-fi movies changed forever. Saw it 13 times...

Omg this was so awesome to see you watch this for first time and love it! Wow! Ya don’t know what it means to Star Wars fans to see you. I can not wait to see your reaction now to The Empire Strikes Back! Omg! The best one of em ALL! 😃🤓. I can tell, you are going to love even more and be a true huge Star Wars fan! You’re totally getting this film and all of Star Wars.
i loved watching your reaction. it made me feel like i did when i watched star wars for the first time. the awe and joy and wonder was my entrance into a whole new world. i can't wait to see you react to the other ones. :)
1977… other than me 😁😁😁😁… Star Wars was released in theaters, it wasn't called Episode IV A New Hope until it's rerelease after the other sequels!! Also the version that you watched is the edited version that was put out later with extras!!
BEST MOVIES EVER no joke Star Wars Is THE BEST and might I say welcome to the Star Wars fan club (not an actual thing just welcoming you to the star wars fan base) and if you want any explanations to any of your question with zero spoilers for future star wars movies and shows feel free to ask I am very knowledgeable about such things such as the big green lizards the were riding in the beginning are called Dewbacks there name is actually because they lick morning dew from the back of their eyes and their diet consist of mainly grass and other small plants that grow on the planet as well as womp rats. Also the Gold droids name is C-3PO he is a protocol droid made for language translation, catering, and simple task such as that. Fun fact did you know before star wars films had their end credits at the beginning of the movie but star wars was the first film to start there credits at the end of the film. really an amazing film so happy to see you loved it and remember the force will be with you always.😊
That was great - thank you! You’ve just taken your first step into a larger world. And yes, you have to watch the entire saga, I am sure you’ll love it. As the production practically stretched over about 40 years, there are effects differences between the episodes - just ignore them and follow the story itself. The order you decided to watch them shows that the Force is strong with you. The best way to watch is in the release order, that is 4, 5 and 6, then 1, 2 and 3, then 7, 8 and 9 - there are practically 3 trilogies and I’m sure you’ll love them all. Also the date you decided to start the journey is very significant - Star Wars is such a great saga that it earned its own worldwide celebration day which is May 4th, that is May the fourth - like in “May The Force (be with you)”. I can hardly wait to see you reacting to the next ones … WELCOME among us … and remember: a true fan does not dislike any of the episodes - have a favorite one, yes - but not dislike any. May The Force Be With You !! Salutations from Romania …
If you have not seen 'The Lord of the Rings Trilogy': 'Fellowship of the Ring', 'The Two Towers' and 'Return of The King' by director Peter Jackson (based on the books by WWI Veteran J.R.R. Tolkien), please do a reaction on those films. And I highly recommend the 'Extended Versions' because more of an explanation on the storylines and on the characters. Need to do all 3 films in 2 to 3 or 4 parts. Your reaction to 'Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope' was every enjoyable. Next Episodes of 'Star Wars' to react to are: V, VI, I, II and III the way they were released in the theaters in that order.
She was talking and totally missed CPO's line humorous line, "Listen to them. They're dying, R2", .that's always caused theater crowds to roar with laughter. Also, it's "Han", not "Hans".
Loved your reaction. Subscribed to watch the rest of your Star Wars journey. I think the best order to watch is the Original Trilogy and then the Prequels (I - III) and then Rogue One. A lot of people crap on the prequels, and they are weaker than the first trilogy on many ways, but I still enjoyed them. Watching The Clone Wars and Rebels TV series made me appreciate the prequels a lot more. As for the sequels (VII - IX)? I just pretend like they didn’t happen. 🤷🏻♂️
Jayy, I’m just going to say this. You absolutely MUST, MUST, MUST, watch The Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi! There’s sooooooo much more to be discovered. And there’s one revelation in The Empire Strikes Back that will knock your socks off!! Can’t wait until you watch it! You are now hooked, and there’s no turning back!😆
Well, now I had to subscribe to this channel too, having had so much fun watching your other channel. R2-D2 is the greatest warrior in the Star Wars saga, change my mind folks.
17:27 They are not just used to disturbance in that cantina. They know better then messing with a Jedi, especially when he just displayed his capability. Obi-Wan first blocked a shot from the blaster before he cut his arm.
Such a great fan of the Star Wars series!!!! C3po is the gold robot!!! Love the part when Hans Solo comes back in the end to help Luke!! Thank you Jayy😁👍🏻👍🏻
The movies are based on the book series. George Lucas was only able to obtain funding for one movie...he thought that the 4th story would make the biggest impact, so he skipped the first three. It was a world wide phenomenon and...the rest is history. Sir Alec Guiness (Obi-Wan) thought the movie would flop and James Earl Jones (voice of Darth Vader ) refused to be credited, he wanted nothing to do with the project or its projected failure.
Welcome to the party! It's so cool to see your first reaction to Star Wars! You are right, Obi Wan is now one with the Force. Now, you gotta see The Empire Strikes Back next. It has everything you want to see in a sequel...and then some! It's good starting the movies in this sequence. Trust me, I'm a lifelong fan of franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek. This was the first movie I ever saw in a theater when I was a boy. My favorite scene is the battle sequence between the rebel fleet and the Death Star. The visual effects have been updated a little bit in this version of the movie, but they're still pretty much the same (except for the CGI Jabba, that was added in a few years ago)--they were so groundbreaking then. Pretty much this movie is the reason visual effects in movies have become as they are today. Love you! You're beautiful! Love your reactions! May the 4th be with you!
Loved your reaction, can't wait to see the rest of your journey and for you to see Episodes 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 and Rogue One. This is the best order to watch Star Wars. Til next time, May the Force be with you.
Hello. So ya your now a Star Wars fan. Star Wars is a tip of the hat to old movie shorts like Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. It got a lot of ideas from French comics and sifi and it's desert style is Jean Giraud a French comic artist inspired style. It has an old war movie look to appeal to the rabid Dad fans of old war movies that existed at the time while giving the war movie a sifi fantasy twist. It's actually more fantasy than sifi because nothing is actually scientific in this world. It started out as just a one shot movie with a huge toy line attached that was the real money maker. All the rest of the movies spring up because of the fans. So like old movie shorts they end with a cliff hanger. It has a very simple religion that pits good and evil against each other. It asks very interesting questions about good and evil and has fantastic love stories and adventures. Now us fans can play along and make stories of our own because of Disney. It's a very fan based property. Many fans visit the Disney Star Wars rides and offerings wanting to live out there own story. It's amazingly fun.
MAY THE FORCE be with you all!

Nobody thought this film would make much money.
Let's make it into a movie!"
Thus _Star Trek - The Motion Picture_ was released in 1979.
Wow
Don't forget everyone's favorite Industrial Light and Magic spinoff.... Pixar.
Thank you so much
@@watchwithjayy the episode 4 stuff was added much later.
This was a great reaction. Welcome to the Star Wars franchise. You picked up on a lot very quickly. The Force is with you.
Lol thank you so much
The original trilogy, and this particular film, had a huge impact on the world, and they continue to do so every time a new fan watches them. They are a cinematic phenomenon that is unlikely to happen again.
No matter how many details you know about Star Wars, you have to actually watch it to discover how funny, warm, exciting, and emotional it is.
Same reaction that everyone has when they first see this. Sooo good. I like the 2nd one ever better than the first one.
I'm sure this has been said to death but great reaction, you've taken your first step into a larger world...😁
Yes saw this 9 times in a row at the Christmas holidays at our local theatre in 1977 I was 12 years old
Oh wow
This was my first big movie when I was 6 years old in 1977. This movie blew my mind. You'll find out more on The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. The version you watched has CGI added in the 90s by George Lucas for the re-release. The original had mostly practical effects like scale models and green screen. That version is only available in bootleg.
There's actually a two disc edition of this, Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi that includes both original and remastered edition. They can be found at used movie stores or Half Price Books sometimes
@@imaginationsmusic1985 I think I read that it wasn't the true original cut of the movie but I could be wrong.
26:33 "stop it, get some help" had me rolling LOL
Lol
Amusingly, such were the rules around protecting the British film industry at the time that the cast list issued to ensure filming in England could take place put veteran British stars Alex Guinness (Ben Kenobi) and Peter Cushing (Governor Tarkin) above the now-familiar American regulars of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. Even the droids are two English-men (the long-suffering Anthony Daniels as C3P0 and the late Kenny Baker as R2D2).
I've never seen someone with so little information react to Star Wars. I love this fresh perspective.
I just came across your channel and subscribed. I always love to watch people's first time reactions, your one of us now.
Great reaction, that was fun to watch with you. I could tell when Luke, Leia and Han all got together you really got into the movie even more.
I loved it!
I was 13 Years old in 1977 when Star Wars when I watched it in Movie Theatres!
"Did he become the Force himself or something?" ... Love to see it! Good for you. I hope you watch entire saga.
Grand reaction, dear lady. Thank you and I look forward to seeing your other reactions to the other films.
Good morning Jayy! Happy Birthday 🎈🎉🎂! Hope it’s a great one!! Your a very wonderful person and you deserve a fun day 👍🏻👍🏻🥰🎉! Take care!
Thank you for the bday wishes
great reaction as always i just feel i should have watched this on a tuesday hahaha. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
"What Is That Thing?"
That's a Dewback
Jayy - a lot of your questions will be answered in the next movie. Empire strikes back, does a LOT of world building. It really lays the ground work for the series from here on out. You really get more depth on the characters, you get to see more planets, a lot more action, its just a great GREAT movie. But the real nagging question you have - yes, Obi-Wan became one with the Force, which is how he is able to talk to Luke.
Oh! And yep! Obi Wan became a part of the Force.
Yass
all Ben had to do was get the Luke, Leia and the Death Star Plans off the Death Star and able to leave - once he saw Luke, he knew he had the real victory. He didn't expect to ever get off the Death Star himself.
The next one is even better! Really enjoyed watching along with you, can’t wait for the next!
Threepio and R2 have that banter between each other because they are so tight friends, but Threepio also have such a pessimistic nature.
They seem to be the friends that tend to pick at each other but will be there for eachother
BUCKLE UP!!! Release order is a must. They did the 4th episode first because it was the best 👌 and they weren't sure people would buy it. After this sci-fi movies changed forever. Saw it 13 times...
Am I the only person that's listening to Jayy saying I'll just wait for the next one, you'll be blown away! 😆
hello there!
stumbled on your channel here and just finished stawars4 seconds ago. i love your react here! brought me back to my childhood.

Thank you so much for watching did you watch episode 5?
@@watchwithjayy
yes of course, right after finishing this video here.
it is typically for me, that i remain mostly silent. not a big comment writer on YT videos, because 80% of my comments i get no reaction what so ever on, ... so, it's not worthy to write anything when you don't get the feeling your comment isn't been seen
I love your enthusiasm watching this movie! Great video!
there was a cool video game that came out back then about the last attack scene when they attacked the Death Star...😂
You’re going to love the next two for sure!
Hey.
I really enjoyed a couple of your Queen reactions... but I hadn't noticed that you had done movie reactions.
Yay!!
Great reaction! What a journey you have ahead of you, you WILL love it!
The was fun :-). You are very expressive... thank you for sharing.
May the force be with you
Except 8, it's bad lol
38:25 Luke accidentally yells out "Carrie!" instead of "Leia!"
Well damn I never heard of that one before
When this came out I freaked out!!!! Sooo different from any movie back then. Omg I love this movie. Memories!
❤️
I love seeing new Star Wars reactors. You did an awesome job with this one, I can't wait to see the rest of them. Roll on Empire Strikes Back. 👍
Another great reaction I haven't seen this in so long thank you jayy
No thank you ❤️
Jayy, I’m just going to say this.
R2-D2 is the greatest warrior in the Star Wars saga, change my mind folks.
there is a star wars movie called Rogue One that takes place probably less than an hour before this one.

What kind of collection?
Late to the party, but you're one of the brightest most enthusiastic newcomers to the galaxy I've ever seen. Gonna enjoy this. 😉

They are not just used to disturbance in that cantina.
They know better then messing with a Jedi, especially when he just displayed his capability.
Obi-Wan first blocked a shot from the blaster before he cut his arm.

What a great reaction video! Thanks for your thoughts on the the movie

It was great to watch Star Wars with you Jayy!! I am a huge fan!!C3PO is the gold robot!! Thank you for ending my day on suc a happy note😁👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Thank you so much for coming
Your theory about Obi Wan is pretty good!
Boy was they wrong
@@watchwithjayy You got that right 👍 !
Great Reaction! Can't wait for the other 2 movies! You should react to The Lord Of the Rings Trilogy...you'll love it!
Thank you so much and I just might
Welcome to the party!
Thank you so much I’m so happy to finally start this journey
Delightful reaction :)
This is 1977 This movie is great
great reaction and review

That was so so fun!! Brings back so many memories!! Now you have to watch The Empire Strikes Back. That’s next!!!
I sure will
