I’ve only been watching a year or so but he reminds me so much of one of my old halo 3 crew (he passed away a few years ago). Honestly the whole vibe of everyone brings back those days. my landline is set as an emergency contact in my and my family's cellphones so if we get a call from it we know its important its also useful if anyone is home alone and loses their cell they can call it
1:18:00 I actually find the to-do list as a good way of dealing with executive dysfunction. It lays out expectations in a manageable way. I can focus on only one thing at a time, and then I can cross it off and see what I have accomplished.
Yeahh, for ADHD especially to do lists that automatically repeat every day are wonderful, you can write down every basic thing you need to do in a day that you otherwise forget to do, I've been using a to do list like that every day for two years

To anybody wondering, The Stanford Prison Experiment has been discredited by pretty much all profesional psychology instances at this point. The experiment was conducted in fundamentaly flawed ways, and the results have been deemed unreliable. I think the only thing the experiment proved was that if you dehumanize both sides in a social situation with an unbalanced power-dynamic, then both sides will reduce the other to 'concepts' rather than 'people', and treat them based on their understanding of said concepts. This isn't and wasn't new information, and reflects poorly on the one in charge of the experiment.
Blather is probably one of the best games jackbox has ever put out. The gameplay is fun even when you can’t get the answer plus a huge variety of topics and janky clues. Plus the satisfaction of getting it right.

In fact, the inability to leave REM sleep and go into deep sleep is the main identifying symptom of Narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by... well, put simply, your body thinking that it's always supposed to be asleep, because it never actually gets any rest when you DO sleep
You need both forms for GOOD sleep. Deep sleep, from my understanding, is to help the body repair and recover, while REM sleep is more for the brain and memory though the extent of it we aren't entirely sure (because brains are complicated). It's not so easy to say "You get the best sleep during REM sleep!" Because that's not entirely true, but it's also not entirely true to say "NO! You get the best sleep during Deep sleep (or stage 3 NREM)" because both are needed for complete sleep. The only thing is that to reach REM sleep is you typically have to go through deep sleep to get there, so REM sleep could be considered the most complete sleep if you include the other cycles leading up to REM. I'm not a professional by any means, but I don't think any of this is as cut and dry as the question or you are making it out to be. Sleep is still something we are studying a lot about, and the brain is a super complicated system that we only know so little about! Also, at the end of the day, it's a silly trivia game for friends to have fun with!

The fact that deep sleep is phase 3, and REM is phase 2, should tell you what you need to know right there. you do not go into deep sleep to get to REM. I mean, you do also go back up from deep sleep to REM sleep, but REM goes first, then deep, then REM again. Except for me. For me, it's all REM, all night

If there is new studies and information out I'd love to read more about it and be updated. I'm speaking purely off the information I know and if there is new information or just more in-depth information, please, I'd love to read it!

It goes like: Stage 1 happens right at the beginning and end, and it's the transition phase. Then Stage 2 is "light sleep." Stage 3 is "Deep sleep," and it's where all the good rest happens. Stage 4 is REM sleep, and it's when dreams and other brain activity happens. Generally, a person's sleep cycle looks like: 1 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 1 - awake for me, it looks like: 1 - 4 - 1 - awake

Fun fact, the Stanford Prison Experiment is hella discredited now because the methodology was shit. When they were recruiting participants they explicitly advertised that the position was for prison wardens so there was a bias in who applied and many of the "wardens" were coached to be cruel by the scientist running it so he'd get the results he wanted. IIRC when they've recreated the study they've had trouble replicating the results. By which I mean, the "wardens" generally treat the inmates well and are more likely to work in their favor than against them.
The last unicorn was animated by the same team that would go on to be some of the first animators under Studio Ghibli, I forget the name of the studio though. Amazing movie.

56:50 so for myself I prefer silence because while being on multiples calls and holds for over the course of months during the start of the pandemic for the unemployment pay due to my job closing down due to it, I would be stuck on calls for up to 3 hours. No jokes, not even over doing it. Legit would wait for multiple hours on hold and then sometimes it would just hang up or just get connected and the person was new and didn’t know how to do anything and would tell me there was nothing to be down. This went on for like 3 to four months, multiple calls throughout the day and hours of lobby music playing through my phone just to get connected and be told nothing could be down until I reached someone who was competent after that three to four month mark. I would play Fortune street while waiting and do you know how much I would prefer silence with an ear bud in so I wouldn’t have that music sketched in my head and so I could focus on my game more without getting upset then hearing someone answer would make it feel like time wasn’t taking as long because then I wouldn’t have had to hear the song go through an entire thing then slight silence, like one second, before relooping. So yes, silence is preferred cause I knew every day it was going to be hours of being on hold and wishing I didn’t have to have the volume up with the annoying music and that it would be just silence so I could enjoy other things as I waited.

For the landline thing in guesspionage, I can honestly say most if not all my family got rid of it mostly cause everyone got tired of telemarketers and phone scames. Smartphones makes it so much easier to block numbers.
my landline is set as an emergency contact in my and my family's cellphones so if we get a call from it we know its important its also useful if anyone is home alone and loses their cell they can call it

Yeahh, for ADHD especially to do lists that automatically repeat every day are wonderful, you can write down every basic thing you need to do in a day that you otherwise forget to do, I've been using a to do list like that every day for two years

To anybody wondering, The Stanford Prison Experiment has been discredited by pretty much all profesional psychology instances at this point. The experiment was conducted in fundamentaly flawed ways, and the results have been deemed unreliable. I think the only thing the experiment proved was that if you dehumanize both sides in a social situation with an unbalanced power-dynamic, then both sides will reduce the other to 'concepts' rather than 'people', and treat them based on their understanding of said concepts. This isn't and wasn't new information, and reflects poorly on the one in charge of the experiment.

no, you definitely DON'T get the good sleep during REM. You get that during Deep sleep.
In fact, the inability to leave REM sleep and go into deep sleep is the main identifying symptom of Narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by... well, put simply, your body thinking that it's always supposed to be asleep, because it never actually gets any rest when you DO sleep
You need both forms for GOOD sleep. Deep sleep, from my understanding, is to help the body repair and recover, while REM sleep is more for the brain and memory though the extent of it we aren't entirely sure (because brains are complicated). It's not so easy to say "You get the best sleep during REM sleep!" Because that's not entirely true, but it's also not entirely true to say "NO! You get the best sleep during Deep sleep (or stage 3 NREM)" because both are needed for complete sleep. The only thing is that to reach REM sleep is you typically have to go through deep sleep to get there, so REM sleep could be considered the most complete sleep if you include the other cycles leading up to REM.
I'm not a professional by any means, but I don't think any of this is as cut and dry as the question or you are making it out to be. Sleep is still something we are studying a lot about, and the brain is a super complicated system that we only know so little about!

buddy, don't incorrect me about sleep phases. I *have narcolepsy,* so I have a pretty decent idea how it works.
The fact that deep sleep is phase 3, and REM is phase 2, should tell you what you need to know right there. you do not go into deep sleep to get to REM.
I mean, you do also go back up from deep sleep to REM sleep, but REM goes first, then deep, then REM again. Except for me. For me, it's all REM, all night

If there is new studies and information out I'd love to read more about it and be updated. I'm speaking purely off the information I know and if there is new information or just more in-depth information, please, I'd love to read it!

But also, it doesn't really go in order. It goes like:
Stage 1 happens right at the beginning and end, and it's the transition phase.
Then Stage 2 is "light sleep."
Stage 3 is "Deep sleep," and it's where all the good rest happens.
Stage 4 is REM sleep, and it's when dreams and other brain activity happens.
Generally, a person's sleep cycle looks like:

Fun fact, the Stanford Prison Experiment is hella discredited now because the methodology was shit. When they were recruiting participants they explicitly advertised that the position was for prison wardens so there was a bias in who applied and many of the "wardens" were coached to be cruel by the scientist running it so he'd get the results he wanted. IIRC when they've recreated the study they've had trouble replicating the results. By which I mean, the "wardens" generally treat the inmates well and are more likely to work in their favor than against them.

People who actually fish/hunt probably don’t go to a Bass Pro shop very often… They’re fun to visit but overpriced and kinda flashy, plus a lot of people probably don’t live near one. Real fishers most likely go to smaller tackle shops and bait shops.
56:50 so for myself I prefer silence because while being on multiples calls and holds for over the course of months during the start of the pandemic for the unemployment pay due to my job closing down due to it, I would be stuck on calls for up to 3 hours. No jokes, not even over doing it. Legit would wait for multiple hours on hold and then sometimes it would just hang up or just get connected and the person was new and didn’t know how to do anything and would tell me there was nothing to be down. This went on for like 3 to four months, multiple calls throughout the day and hours of lobby music playing through my phone just to get connected and be told nothing could be down until I reached someone who was competent after that three to four month mark. I would play Fortune street while waiting and do you know how much I would prefer silence with an ear bud in so I wouldn’t have that music sketched in my head and so I could focus on my game more without getting upset then hearing someone answer would make it feel like time wasn’t taking as long because then I wouldn’t have had to hear the song go through an entire thing then slight silence, like one second, before relooping. So yes, silence is preferred cause I knew every day it was going to be hours of being on hold and wishing I didn’t have to have the volume up with the annoying music and that it would be just silence so I could enjoy other things as I waited.
