creative use of the first app.. I use a similar 'note finding' app called Soundcorset. I was using it initially to tune my drum heads to somewhat fixed notes - and had good results. So many other things one could tinker around with that app.

Hi , thanks for the video , I'm going to have a look at the Advanced Pro App , the Frequency Counter App I always found useful . Spectroid is another app I've found useful .

I have that one also , I found it a bit overwhelming with the lower display. What is that particularly good at?

@@GaryKeepItSimple that app , I use to examine how a particular cassette plays back the recording I've made , compared to the source for example .Particularly the lower scrolling display , as it shows the sound intensity (db), by colour intensity, that makes it easy, to see at a glance within the whole recoded sound spectrum and beyond (6hz-24000khz), top display shows momentary peaks too and the cousor is moovable if you want to concentrate on a certain frequency. I find it very useful in comparing differences in response between different tapes or same tape on different decks , compared to source , very quickly .

@@GaryKeepItSimple Spectroid it's simply a sonograph - so it's good at pinpointing things visually easily by a glance. If the phone has the capability the app goes up to 96khz per channel - I don't have a proper input dongle for my Android so I use these apps as a novelty - I do use the frequency generator tons simply called 'Hz' - I checked the output waveform on my oscilloscope and there is a bit of noise being generated (distortion) from the Hz app - aside from the waveform. .

      whoops I meant 48KHZ per channel - not 96KHZ - 96 overall.

One thing about the 'smartphones'.. isn't it crazy THEY can record our phone calls.. but we can't record our OWN phone calls - all the phone call apps I have found record the external audio being pushed out from the speaker and then back into the mic. they are Horrible. It's foolish what people accept from these corporations.

A few years ago I had a recording app for the phone call, then Google banned it. It was really good and clear. also, google stopped phone number recognition on the recording apps. just to be awkward.
