  • In this episode I rig stick baits and slow pitch jigs to target African Pompanos and Pelagics. I use my Temple Reef rod and Accurate 300 Reel spooled with 30 lbs PE Braid and 40 lbs leader line.
Cast 40-gram jig is good for tuna we set that jig with 2 single hooks with split rings.
In the United States, African Pompanos can be found as far south as the Florida Keys and the Gulf of Mexico to as far north as the coasts of New Jersey. Are African pompano good to eat?
The meat of African Pompano has a buttery, firm texture and is noticeably fatty. The rich flavor makes this fish ideal for marinating or adding a sauce. The large head of the African Pompano makes it a great option for fish stock or fish head curries.
