Fantastic series, with great acting, and Fantastic host. Frankly, I can't imagine anyone else, who would be so good. Classic early 70's drama at it's finest.
Excellent episode and like many other comments, starring the excellent Jack Cassidy. Taken way too early. FAB episode with him in from The Night Gallery Rod Serlings.
Orson was sending a message of the damages coming from mass surveillance. He was a visionary after all & knew the art of terrifying social engineering.
Brilliant twist to the story. The irresistible Jack Cassidy, the arch nemesis of Lt Columbo. Suave, arrogant & smug.👍 Also an appearance by the sister of Olivia Newton-John. Thank for uploading 👍
Jack Cassidy died in a very horrible way only three years later on my late dad's 38th birthday 12th of dec 1976 aged just 49. I wouldnt wish the way he died on anyone. He died in a fire. 😟
The ring he wore was the Cassidy clan and his sons each had one. He suffered from mental illness and may have already died before the fire got out of control
A real treat to see the always watchable Jack Cassidy in something I haven't seen before.
Jack Cassidy. Loved him in Columbo too
Awesome, missed actor. His roles in Columbo are my continued most watched.
Smooth, Sauve, Urbane & Completely in-love with himself, that was Jack Cassidy.
Thank you - smashing mini-thriller!

It will be beautiful wedding even if still in hardhats & on the scaffolding! The progress is amazing & so glad you're sharing it!

Was Jack the father of Shawn and David Cassidy?
@@1tarawhoYes.
@@1tarawhoYes he was.
Huh, if only Welles knew how bad it would get! Well, maybe he did know.
Exactly, I was just thinking the same 😂😂
Love anything with Jack Cassidy 😘
jack cassidy fab
When Briggs starts leaning on him, I'm like, "You're leaning on Jack Cassidy, brother. You're in big trouble."
This is even more relevant now-
That’s a Devereau from Skippy, the Australian actor
Very clever.

👍👍
He was drinking. Fell asleep. Dropped his cigarette. So awful.
10k pounds was actually quite a lot in the early 70’s.
£10,000 is still a lot of money to most people like me in the UK in 2024.
£10,000 in 1973 is now worth £125,834.05 in 2025 !
Or.. Blackmail.😊
whats that skip ?? theres a microphone hidden in my room ??
How did Anglia get jack cassidy?
I read he was doing an tv show over here in the UK at the time.
@MissMarceline-wp6oq I wasn't surprised Orson Welles presented it. At the time Welles would've appeared in a school play if he'd been paid.
@@michaeltaylor6782LOL
Jack Assidy
No. Jack Cassidy
@digbycrankshaft7572 Oh
Don't worry, Digby didn't get the joke. As an actor, he was on fire. Absolutely smokin'.
@@sirbasilflapjack671Not funny at all.
The Eiger Sanction, ah yes, Miles Mellough and his dog named F@gg*t. Charming.
The blackmailer inhales really loudly at the end of some of his sentences.
