HOW TO SCULPT WINGS in sculpture using clay and a simple removable armature for a bird eagle angel

In this video I discuss how I make wings in sculpture. The armature is simple and makes sculpting a wing easy. I show how I create feather textures through a simple technique. I know that this video is a year old and you might not be replying to comments on this video anymore but I just wanted to ask what clay you used to make the wing. It would help a lot thanks.❤️

The clay I use is an oil based clay, plasticine or plastilina, it's all the same. The closest brand may be "No Name" clay. But what matters is the soft, medium or hard factor. My studio gets rather warm. And the medium body I use gets very soft and sticky when temps hit 80+°F. This tacky quality helps it stick to the paper. If you have trouble getting clay to stick to paper type backings, try saturating the paper with an oil first. Oil sticks to oil thus the clay will take better, assuming this is your problem.

More difficult than it needs to be
