Beautiful Pieces ❤️ I did find a water line Agate and a piece of petrified wood with a herringbone or chevron pattern in it. It was very cool. Sorry we didn't get to meet you while we were there. Take care.

Love how you found such a variety of stones. May fave is the Agatized & Jasperized Wood.. Some of the agates are lovely.. Hauling them back in the boat was much better than backpack or bucket ! !

Gorgeous finds! The one that Jim had to dig for was stunning! My girlfriend and I are heading to the Livingston area in a couple weeks from WA state to do some hounding along the Yellowstone. We can't wait for the treasures we'll find! Thanks for sharing!
If you are looking for agates, you will have more luck east of Billings - but I’m sure there are treasure to be found anywhere on the Yellowstone!
@@KatyDidRocks thanks for the info! We'll have almost a week there so we'll definitely head that way. Yes, agates are the biggest reason for the trip but pet wood and jasper look amazing there too.

I hope to go to the area near the Petrified Forest near Calistoga in California. Lots of petrified wood in the creeks I hear.

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Nowhere and at no time have I ever picked up agates, agatized, and petrified woods of that size size and quality. You don't need a knapsack for rocks...you need a freaking mule with side bags!!! Lol!

Hey nice finds. I'm a rock hound at heart as well. Couple of years ago I was down in southern Iowa. I was looking for cool rocks in a creek bed. When climbing out of one creek .. Sticking out about 6" embedded in the mud I pull out a 21" piece of petrified wood. Weight 25lbs. It's my most prized possession.

You don't realize' a lot of what your picking up are actually artifacts'.. you have designs' angles' rounds' agatized wood that has been cut/ chopped'
