    This review (and others) won me over, and I ordered the HD Version. Thanks to this (and a few other) TH-cam(s), set up was easy EXCEPT for the digital version I had the devil of a time finding the bind button. I won't say how long I had to look (and I even asked my wife to use her eyes). Finally spotted it "hiding" under the lip of the cowling. It is close to the "c" USB port for the DJI software. I took a pic and created a PDF pointing to the bind button -- I can't attach to this comment, but can email to any that request/need it.

    I have one and I find it extraordinarily loud for a drone of this size/weight. The prop guards may put people at ease but the noise will scare the $hit out of them 🙂 That being said it flies pretty well and records good video with an Insta360 GO 2 on it (and a forgiving TPU mount for the GO 2). I switched the 5 blade for the 3 blade and it is still noisy...haven't swapped to the 1404 motors and don't plan on it. There must be something about the air passing over the ducts that makes it so loud.

    Follow-up. I am brand new to FPV, and just ordered this as my first FPV drone. I got the FRsky receiver version, and the Taranis Q X7. I am experienced with regular video drones (DJI, Parrot, Fimi) and have no problems operating them. But I must say, for all those considering FPV, there is ZERO documentation that comes with this drone. The X7 pairing (or binding) process is not at all intuitive. TH-cam videos seem to indicate that you need to connect this drone (via the microUSB that I had NO idea existed deep within it) to something called "betaflight controller"....which is an .exe program that currently gets hung up on the install and is still loading (after 30 minutes) on my computer. Bottom line, if you are new to FPV, it's not "plug and play." Tons of configuring and compatibility issues to navigate through....

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

      The FPV hobby is considered to be the ADVANCED FPV DRONE HOBBY because you need a greater than average understanding of how all components work and a much greater than average flying ability. Unfortunately everyone in the FPV hobby started as you did and we all complained. And those of us on TH-cam (like me... your hero) have made videos to explain to newbies how to get things going (watch my FPV FOR BEGINNERS TH-cam series). It is a steep learning curve but once you gain the knowledge and flight skills you feel so much better for it and then you share your knowledge with others.

    Can you use a naked GoPro instead of the insta? Would I have to change the plugs for it to except the naked GoPro? Also can you use reelsteady go with the Insta360? I already have two naked gopros. Just don’t want to speed the money on a naked camera if I don’t need to. Just wanted to know what I would need to use my naked GoPro. Also does it have a good damping system like the beta95X. That had a great system that took out a lot of jello from the video to use reelsteady. Since you have to turn off image stability to use reelsteady go properly.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The specs say the naked gopro will work and their is a plug included that converts 4 wires to 3 wires which I assume the Naked gopro takes. You can't use realsteady with the insta360. Yes there is the squishy dampening system in this one as well.

    Hi Steve. Just out of curiosity, can you pls explain the regulation regarding" device must be in direct line of sight at all times" with FPV drones?

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on your country. For most countries, anything that is remotely flown the government always wants you to keep it in view and that applies to drones, planes, helicopters.... anything in the RC hobby that is placed in the air. For the FPV hobby, one has goggles on, which means the government could not figure out how such a drone could be kept in view, so they said... if you have anyone or know anyone out in the area that can see the drone, then all is well. Now you have to think... why must I keep a drone or plane in view? It is so that you don't fly it into a human. So the fix is to do like everyone in the hobby and fly where there are no humans. If you fly where humans are, then by all means either have a spotter or inform them of your presence. Finally, the great thing about drones is that are noisy, which makes humans look up and take notice and then become aware of the drones presence.

It is never intended for quality video recording which is why you always see people in the FPV Hobby placing all types of cameras on the FPV Drone to capture quality video.

If you have the receiver and antennas on the goggles then it is as simple as going through the 8 channels of each band (you probably have 5 or 8 bands) to find the correct band and channel your drone is on. Also don’t due the newbie thing and power on your drone with no video antenna attached to the drone or you’ll fry your video transmitter.
