That wasn’t the world tree infront of Renslayer, it was Alioth about to consume her. That’s why the light was purple and not green.

      @matthewlee4697 ปีที่แล้ว +49

There is a theory that the purple was being shown to let viewers know it could of been a kang varient showing up to get her which is why they never showed alioth consume her or even show alioth itself

@@matthewlee4697The first clue is the somewhat uptempo mysterious music playing and how she slowly calms herself to a resolve to imply that Renslayer is not meant to be killed in that scene. She will reappear as either the person who harnessed Alioth or with another Kang. I still think the show kind of implied she is a Kang like Sylvie is a Loki.
I’m down for a Sylvie vs Renslayer movie.

Loki just might be the soul of the MCU! Stark is the face, Cap is the heart, Loki is the soul. I mean although the mcu technically begins with Stark, the main saga doesn’t really kick off until Loki’s actions in Thor 1.

The point of the new TVA is to try and prevent the Kang multiversal war by finding and monitoring the Kangs and other threats. Loki allowed the timelines to continue to live and branch, he prevented the imminent destruction due to the destruction of the loom. He broke that cycle.
What happens with Kang, that's up to the TVA and everyone. That's the point, he's allowing free will to flourish and choose the path.
What happens in the future is up to the next movies

I think this Season was brilliant for the most part, particularly the last 2 episodes. It has the best history, the best character development, the best acting, and the best cinematography of any other MCU project, not even close. And most importantly it had SOUL and PERSONALITY, something that is easily forgotten in the MCU. The end was so good that I immediately started to watch the series from the beginning and many things have a whole new meaning.

I thought it was interesting that before Loki walked out there to repair the timeline he said “ this is for you “ & the next shot was both Mobius & Slyvie. So we don’t know which of the two he was talking to but I still loved that sense of mystery as a viewer.

I think he was talking to both of them. The two people most responsible for his personal growth. The two people who cared for (maybe even loved) him most.

Lokis fate is not sad or a punishment he beat he who remains in his own game and gave the world and his friends a chance. I I would have loved a Mobius/Loki relationship

The timeline branches becoming a🌲always branching and kept growing ie a beautiful metaphor, and very visually pleasing, like a time Yggdrasil. The God of Stories, burdened with glorious purpose.

I definitely think they were trying to imply Renslayer got what was coming to her and had to face aliath. she was in the void so the storm and purple lighting has to be aliath.

You mentioning “the untying of the knot” reminds me of Alexander The Great cutting through the Gordian Knot. That’s sort of how they resolved the episode, Loki cutting through & blowing apart all of the multiverse timelines.

The ending made absolutely no sense, came out of nowhere, but sure seemed melodramatic.

I think what helps me cope with this ending, is that Loki spent centuries with his friends learning. He had a full lifetime of moments in learning with them to save everything and that’s why I’m okay now with the ending.

His ultimate fate of saving countless time lines and lives was an amazing turn for this beloved character and while many may find it sad and unfair, it's also poetic, heroic, and strangely beautiful (that tree) in the way that the main MCU films rarely accomplish. Granted, it might be undone if (IF) the Kang movies move forward but I hope even than it will be handled with care. If not, a glorious end for Loki.

I haven’t understood Marvel’s decisions. They know Wanda and Loki are the most popular characters. Use them!! Loki season 2 was brilliant!!!! I want more Loki and Wanda!

There is so much care put into this series. It manages to feel so epic and yet so intimate and emotional. Fucking amazing series. Never thought i'd see something so subtle so complete and so intimate from marvel. crazy that this is the content we get on D+ and then we get Antman Quantumania on the big screen.

What Renslayer is seeing at the end isn't the World Tree, but Alioth, the purple reflection from its purple cloud and Alioth's roar is what gives that away.
