Thank you for this podcast! Every week I feel "taught" in a clear, concise, spiritual way that leads me to understanding the Doctrine and Covenants and Church History that fills my desire to learn everything I can! I am grateful you quote the manuals of the church and identify them. That sends me to those sources to learn more. Again, Thank you.
George Harmon Thank you from Phoenix: I learned something about progressing from Grace to Grace. I was also interested in the many meanings of the word "logos." I have been in the printing and graphic arts field for over 50 years. I have used a logo to represent a mark or symbol of a business for many customers. My own logo as a printer was an olde tyme Gutenberg printing press. It was interesting to learn that the word "logos" has different meanings. My bride of over 50 years suggested the word "logical" as being one of the words.
Pondering the firstborn I realized that the Father created a Saviour first of all before any other creations because of his love for his children yet unborn. The plan of redemption was initiated and put into place before Satan was even born! Wow....
To think more on the concept of "joint heirs", if you think about it, the firstborn receives everything from their father, leaving nothing or little leftover for the younger children. In Heavenly Father's kingdom, the inheritance of the firstborn in no way decreases the inheritance of those who come after. It is like the concept of love.
Reading verses 40-50, where the early leaders of the Church were condemned for not bringing up their children in the way of the Church, I must confess I did feel a bit sorry for them given the amount of time they were most likely actually WITH their children, due to the Church work, travels and missionary work. Then in the next verses we read that they were to be sent on further travels and missionary work. Is it wrong to have some pity for them, considering the work they had to do? Their wives would have had an enormous burden to carry in these absences as well. I do appreciate the Lord understood, and was stressing the importance of keeping their own families on the path of righteousness and not to neglect their spiritual upkeep too.
I was looking on the map you provide that shows the locations for receiving the revelation and I don't see 88 anywhere. Am I missing it? I thought it was given in Kirtland.
Strangely I have it on the chart for the last two episodes but, you're right, it is now missing from the chart for this episode. I'll make sure it get's back on the chart for our next episode. And yes, it was given in Kirtland. Great catch.
@@brotherfullmer Hmmm. I still don't see it in the .pdf for the D&C 94-97 episode. I download from your web location and I still don't see the update. Are you uploading the corrected version or a cached version perhaps?

On a web browser you may need to click "show more" to see all the description below the video to the left (under "Brother Fullmer"). But I've copied the link here.
