Indeed! The pdf we have had that part covered up with my watermark and we missed that so rolled to see who would go first in this case, our next airlanding will be correct for this : )
Thanks mate! It was a blast, though we did make a few mistakes that we hope to rectify in our next play of it with Nato forces. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Thanks! They are quite fun! Though we got the player start order backwards which May have brought a different outcome. And indeed! The downside of scattered reserves : )
Getting clarification on if vehicle units who start Bailed Out and don't get back in can then run away due to Morale checks is very important. I could well imagine a Czech army seeing a quarter to a third of their vehicle units run away in the first turn against this before they've taken any enemy fire. Maybe a house rule that during this mission nobody rolls Morale checks for the first turn is in order?
Hey Brett! Indeed, in still looking into it! As yes it could Really harm some forces more then others. Though I really ilke your proposed house rule for going forward on this!
That looked like a lot of fun that game, first time I’ve seen the new air assault rules so that was cool! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you guys!
Thanks mate! It was pretty fun to play yes! Cant wait till our next game with it from the Nato perspective! And thanks! Best wishes to you and yours this holiday season!
Loving to see you guys play the air assault mission! Please try out the helicopter-landed troops next! I really want to get a bunch of the Mi-8s but getting enough for the soviets is so much money! Especially since I plan on also fielding Cubans and getting an entire battalion to be on helicopters is a whopping 9 Mi-8s!
Hey! Thanks so much for your comment! I think our next yankee game will feature some US Huey airborne troops backed up with some parachute units! Hopeing to film that before the end of the month and have it ready for the 15th of Jan (sorry for the delay). 100% would love to get my hands on a bunch of Mi-8s too but similar boat lol, we would need so many! You should join us on discord so that when you get them you can show us pics!!
For remount and rally, it is not based on courage. Courage is only used for "follow me". West German's remount and rally is 3+ for most of their assets. I know Marder 1, Leo 1, and panzergrenadier remount/rally on 3+ for sure. For the support units, they could be 4+.
The actual rules do not mention being pinned or bailed after parachute deployment. Therefore, the one unit would not have been in "bad spirits". I think that answers your question. Thanks for the video👍🏼
Appreciate the input, however the deployment steps have the attacking player place deployed parachuting units on the table using the parachute deployment rules in step 4, step 8 stipulates All units on table are pinned down or bailed out. Most welcome, hope you enjoyed!
@@batesmt25 It happens, like where we missed the part where defender goes first lol. But yea, its honestly quite punishing if your have a run of bad luck on motivation, happy gaming!
I may be missing something but Aircraft remain in good spirits as long as they have 1 team (pg 64 under unit morale) so no need to test the Hind there as far as I am aware. Nice game. somebody had some unfortunate rolls early on :) Love the VDV models but torn now that the S tank is coming ...
Thanks! Can never remember if helicopters are covered under that! Team Yankee and Flames are subtly different in some spots and it still confuses me when we switch back and forth lol. Aye some terrible dice luck really hampered the West German defence sadly. And thank you! mostly kitbashed models painted up to look like VDV troops with a few beret head swaps to give them that dash of blue : )
@@LackofForesightGaming everything you guys do is great! Don't know if you have any early war or not, but I'd love to see some! Hoping battlefront will do some early war in plastic pretty soon, that would be great!👍🍻🎄
Well I dont mind that as answer at all lol! Thanks mate! Sadly early war was the only setting I didnt get a chance to get into.. I could maybe do some winter war stuff with my Finns and Russians but I dont have many early war russkie tanks for that sadly.. When BF does redo early I promise we will be doing it. Started watching SAS Rogue Heroes the other day and it rekindled my want to do some desert war stuff for the early period lol! And Barbarrossa of course, I need more grey tanks lol!
@@LackofForesightGaming desert campaigns are great as well! I just finally received my t72 tank battalion yesterday, so I'll be painting those up pretty soon. So, yeah I'm good with anything you guys wanna put out, just thankful for all the entertainment/tutorials all you TH-camrs put out!👍
Ooh nice! I love using my T-72s so always good to see another player getting them. Will you be doing them up as 72Bs? And our pleasure mate! We are just happy to see folks enjoy what we do : )
The thing is dislike most off all about flames of war is " the stupid bloody closeness of each afv to each other on the table " Why do players play this way it's not realistic at all.
Thank you for your comment. Flames of wars rules set is an abstract wargame, not a historical simulation. While we strive to bring in historical context to our WW2 games, WWIII has no such need, nor would we want to given current world events. Take care and happy holidays.
I think that Defender has the first turn.

Nice to see the new air landing mission and force. Looks like you guys had fun, thanks for sharing.
Have a great Christmas.

Great game. I like the rules for landing troops. If the 2 Leopard companies came near the objectives the result would be different

@@LackofForesightGaming This rules could be cool if we play Market Garden or the invasion of Creta.
Indeed! Though I believe the d-day beach landing mission package had some ww2 airlanding rules as well. Will have to look and see how they differ!
