Haha - it's a cautionary tale to be sure! Chris is a super guy and it's his Prophet that is featured on my channel videos (a while back now). Sweet synth!
Wow Matt!! This is epic!!! Love every minute. Jeremy, Robin and Federico I love these guys!! Great to see them in this format. The P600 story also epic 😂. Right on man keep at it!! Great series!!
Interesting KB biographies; the cute, little DX100 even was Joe Jackson's keytar in '86 but If KORG DS8 had been more known back then, perhaps fewer people were scared of programming FM. Besides its the perhaps grainiest sounding synth ever made, even more than Yamaha's '81/'82 test ballons GS1 & 2. Spilled liquids, only once/never again. A drunken guest unintentionally disabled my very first "pro" synth's complete control panel (Kawai K1 II) with his sticky Amaretto back in 1990. Microwave XT, certainly less suitable as a beginner's instrument, like OORA MUSIC said, but even more as desert island synth. Starscy Carr's comparison with the hybrid Waldorf M was totally sobering because people believe when buying "M" they're supplied with an ancient PPG in a box, what's wrong. Starscy's comparison cleared that XT & the "M" too often sound identic. The only HW instr. worth carrying the PPG label unfortunately applies only to miraculous Groove Synthesis 3rd wave.
Fascinating! Everyone has a slightly different story. Some super guests here. I can think of better synths to use as a beer holder 😊

Thanks for the feedback! Thankfully I’ve never had anything spilled on one of mine! 🤞🏻
